I just discovered bullet journaling, and had been thinking about how to adapt them for writing, your videos are always so timely! hope you feel better, great video as always
Omg thank you so much for posting this! I've been told that a bujo for my books would be helpful, and I've tried to figure it out on my own, but it was a muddled mess. I was thinking only trackers were the way way go. This is so much more helpful. Thank you again!
Wow, this is a really good setup! I realized that I could totally benefit from this level of organization, especially the individual day/work session notes part.
This is brilliant! I may use those ideas when I get into a bigger chapter. For the time being, with my little collection of short stories, I think my current system works well enough, but I may have to include some of the things you talked about in that bujo setting!
This is brilliant! I'm bewildered I didn't think of something like this sooner. I attempted to start a Bujo-style journal for a specific writing project but, unlike with most of my other bullet journals, the idea didn't really take off. However, I think I may have gotten some ideas from you and a few other people on how I can do it better. Thank you
Since finishing my first draft, I’m dying for more organization and this breakdown is perfect. Would you consider making a video eventually that breaks down the different tasks associated with each phase, like what you touch on briefly here? Thanks for your whole channel. It has been a really helpful resource for me!
I love watching bullet journal videos, though I never intended to make one myself. Now that you've given me inspiration to do one with my novel I might just have to get started on my own!
I found this really helpful and have a good idea now of how I'm going to set up my own novel bullet journal. I do have a question though. My main books work as a trilogy, but I want to do a little Xmas release about the characters and how they celebrate the time (still progressing the story) and it won't be anywhere near as long. Would you include this in the previous novel bullet journal or would you find some way of making a smaller booklet as a bullet journal specifically for that short story? It just seems a waste to use a full journal on something that likely won't take more than a few pages. X
I'm starting to get used to bullet journal and it's great! My biggest issue is I really struggle with using an idea and just developing a story. And I have no idea how to outline/plan! At school I was the only one who always refused to plan in English class and exams and when I try now with my story ideas I feel so lost!
Hello! I bought an A5 leather organizer in the January sales in Debenhams (£20) and a single hole punch from Rymans to match the holes. It means I can put in, take out, pin up, or whatever I want with each sheet. Also, if I screw up (which is often) I can just start again. Writing in public makes me look like I'm simply sorting out my affairs and, it must be said, like a bit of a yuppie wanker!
Hey any tips on organising notes from a book that’s already been written? I’ve decided to basically write the entire Wikipedia page for a fiction series I love and I’m looking for ideas on where to start 😅
If you're on Reddit check out the subreddit called worldbuilding. I saw someone create the same type of thing - fake Wikipedia page for their fiction world.
MY thing is how do you center words in the center of a page?????? my book looks HORRIBLE BECAUSE ITS NOT CENTERED!!!! HOW would you center a "TITLE" EXAMPLE.... How would you center the word " STOP" in the center of a page?
Use a ruler and find the center of the page, or count the dots if it's a dot grid. Then count the characters in the word or phrase you want centered and then count the spaces between the words. Add those together and figure out how many characters \spaces should be on each side of the center. The easiest way to write it is to write all the letters on the right side of the center first, then write words and spaces on the left side of the center, starting from the center and going backwards. It really helps to have it written on a separate piece of paper and consult it with every letter! It is very easy to misspell a very simple word when you are concentrating on the spacing. That's how I do it, it takes longer for me to write all this out than it takes to actually do it. It's not that hard or time consuming. Someone else on here might have some method that takes two seconds, but this is the only way I know how to do it. Good luck!!!
"Hello cinnamon bun" never fails to bring a smile to my face. ^_^
I'm a fan of you and your video info! And I love your little dog.

Nice video on organizing through bullet journals. Your handwriting is so lovely.
Virgo. No wonder. Me too. Queens of organization
I was looking forward to this and it did not disappoint. Some great ideas to expand on what I was already thinking of doing. Thanks!
OMG! This is so awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Sorry to hear you've been sick. I love this. I think it actually would work for any large writing project (nonfiction, dissertation)!

Coool. I have pinterest boards to inspire ideas for my main novel
I love this idea! Thanks for sharing!!
This is exactly what I needed for starting my author/novel Bujo!
Thank you! I have been looking for a video to help me organize my book and this has been the most straightforward helpful one!
Loved this one - thanks! Also, I'm digging the hot pink lipstick! :)
Loving your lipstick 💞

Oh man... my journals were merely a record of my progress and anything new I thought up. Never had anything this organized. :) .

I’ve got plans to cover some of them at least! Aw that’s great, thank you!

They’re so relaxing! Ahh, cool! Good luck! 😊
OMg this is the best idea! I'm going to get started immediately.

Love this! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you, I'd really like to use a bullet journal for reading and writing as opposed to the more traditional function. X

gah - a month? Hope you're feeling better now.
I've recently started a bujo for everyday and this gives me all sorts of ideas. Thanks♥
What kind of pens do you use for your bullet journals? I love the way they write.
To me it looks like she might be using tombows but idk
Brilliant! This is a novel approach to novelling and bullet journaling! How did you come up with this?
Now I only have to figure out how to merge this with my regular Bullet Journal. Though I already have a thought or two.
I feel pretty sick too lmao. Kinda writing and clinging to this in bed xD
Your website is looking nice.
I’ve missed you!
