Thanks had no clue what that was when I was pulling the chair apart. Restoring my first chair. Upholstery done just waiting on the powder coating now

What about a sticky pump handle. It just randomly gets stuck, the hulk can’t move it. Why does it do that and how do I fix it?
Thank you for the brake tutorial! It helped alot!

I don't know. I'm sorry, I'm actually not very handy. I might guess that it has something to do with a seal inside the cylinder. I know one of our chairs was having a tough time moving, and we punctured the little cap that you can unscrew to add the hydraulic oil. That really helped. I thought it might have been locked up because no air could get in the cylinder and it was creating a suction stoppage. And I was somehow correct.

You may need a new brake key.

@Slim The Barber my grandfather has this chair and and he is a barber we can not get the handle to do anything but make the chair recline. The lever will not move forward. Therefor we can not get it to pump up or turn , any clue on how to fix?

If I had to guess, I’d say the key for the pump break was stuck. (That thing I replaced in this video.) I don’t know how to fix it if I’m correct. Because you’d need to be able to unlock it to pull the cylinder up to move it. Is there hydraulic oil in the base?
