Amazing system! I try and do dry fire practice every day or two, and since being disabled and on a fixed income makes it hard to get out even in the best of times, this is something that can actually show results. I'm sure I could even get my wife in on the action! This is truly revolutionary!
We used the Mantis a lot when I was an active duty Marine. When I retired, I bought one and use it several times a week. Great training tool. Thanks for the video!
I retired last year and decided to take up shooting for both self-defense and as a sport. I am waiting on my LTC from (Massachusetts) the state so I can get started. I have taken a couple of live lessons as well as online lessons. Everyone has stressed the importance of dry fire. I have checked out many of the available dry fire products and it seems to me that Mantis is far and away the best tool. Can't wait to get started.
I need dry fire in my training routine! I just retired and was already doing range live fire drills 3 of 4 Saturdays a month with our club - Texas Defensive Shooting Club. I now have time to do some indoor (stay out of the Texas heat) dry fire training with my Staccato P and Sig P365XL. Thanks Jerry and Mantis X!
You’re my inspiration Jerry. I study your technique quite a bit and I find it awe-inspiring that you have created such a legendary reputation. Your modesty is badass.
My wife and I use the Mantis. We love it. It’s interesting to me to see Jerry engage with it and warm up to it. At first, you kind of get the feeling that he was irritated having to do the demo and that this was just some sponsor obligation. Then, the more he saw what this was doing and how well it worked, he really seemed to like it.
Excellent system off a total break down of the elements involved in the complete shot from first to last actions. Quite a system to work on science to correct issues
I own and have used the MantisX exclusively for my dry fire training since September 2021. It is without a doubt the best training tool for dry fire I have come across. I train our church Security Team and have endorsed this product since my exposure to it, several members now own their own units. I’m old school, and like Jerry, I liked to take a bucket of bullets to the range and train but those days have disappeared for the time being, so the MantisX is the next best thing in my opinion!
I picked up my X10 last September and absolutely love it. So far, I have logged over 35,000 shots and am pleased with my overall and consistent improvements. Gotta' say, the technical feedback of this tool is brutally honest and quite humbling, although quite necessary if you are serious about wanting to become a better shooter. When I began, my averages were in the low 80's. Since then, they have improved to consistently dry firing in the mid to upper 90's. Recently, I've started focusing on my Holster Draw Analysis. Boy, that drill will make a BIG dent in your overall average, but the feedback will let you know exactly what you need to focus on to improve. In my opinion, there's not much benefit in practicing just to maintain a high average if you invested the time in developing those skills you will really need when it comes to defending yourself in a quick holster draw situation. I can already tell I will be investing many hours with this drill. By the way, using my Mantis Laser Academy (in the Open Training mode) while practicing with my X10 Holster Draw Analysis drill also provides feedback on my target accuracy. Love all of the Mantis products and their customer support is top notch if you have questions!
Definitely one of the most effective training tools in my arsenal. This tool has drastically increased my shooting abilities...plus it helped my wife get a near-perfect score on her LTC qualification. I typically use it for the holster draw analysis and enjoy the drills and marksmanship benefits.
Oh my goodness. This is like an omen. My husband and I just left the gun shop and we were discussing our most recent training class and the subject of my mechanics came up. I seriously will be looking into purchasing one unless I end up being blessed with this one. Great tips and videos sir. Keep them coming.
I would use it for common sense everyday edc training. As a retired LEO living were the range is not as close as it once was, this tool would help to keep up the skill level and build in solid essentials to edc carry. Great video guys. Thanks for sharing.
Kudos to Jerry for showing us his weaknesses. Not a lot of men are humble enough to do that…of course, he’s still better than all of us. I’d love to have a Mantis X. I head up a church security team and we could use it to practice without having to spend personal fortunes on ammo. Thanks for the gear drawing Jerry. It was great to have the chance to meet you and Lena at Freedom Days in Phoenix and thanks for the autographed shotgun shell. It’s on my shelf with the rest of my treasures.
I need way more time in dry fire. I just recently setup a place on my property where I can shoot handguns out to 30 yards. My time is very limited due to my strange work schedule. I do dry fire a couple times a week, and try to live fire at least once a week, normally using 50 round drills at varying distances. Single shots, doubles and multi target variants. Even being a bullet caster and reloader components shortages have severally shortened time spent live fire. This would be a great tool to get.maximum Input and.results to optimize dry fire time, and look for better results in live fire drills. Thanks for taking the time to demo this system to us.
I've had my Mantis X10 for almost 3 years now, one thing that I like to use it for that I don't see anyone else doing is when I'm testing new handloads. I can get more reliable data when looking at the groups if I have the data from the X10 letting me see my fault in it. Better and more consistent data contributes to better and more consistent ammo.
Unfortunately I have never been able to test dry fire but what I sent in the video convinced me to turn better you have to know how to improve what you have to do great video Greetings from Dakar 🇸🇳
This is a great aid for personal defense training as well. Help train good muscle memory and show you bad or useles action before it becomes a habitual behavior. espcially the trigger control, i was very impressesed with how accurately it shows minor deviations.
I could really use the input for not only my bullseye shooting but also as a training tool for some students in the firearms classes I teach. Thanks for an awesome presentation.
I use my mantis x10 to check my finger press. It has helped me on a smoother trigger press in turn better control of the pistol. It has helped my scores in competition from 380 to 480 out of 500. Very happy!
This would be a great tool to help with my dry fire practice. If you feel it would help you, it would obiviously help me. I really like that you can use this out of the holser. Keep on doing what you do.
Well, I own every product Mantis makes, although I am eagerly awaiting the new, improved Blackbeard. I improved the quality of my shooting dramatically using the X10--put thousands of "rounds" of dry fire through it which saved me having to get that second mortgage on the house to afford ammunition. Lately, I have been using the X10 a lot to attempt to improve my recoil control: the data allows you to swap between a "standard" thumbs-forward grip and the Miculek "finger-in-front-of-the-trigger-guard" grip and get quality, actionable data to be able to get back on target faster. I love the thing, and try to use it every day for at least the "daily challenge" and some holster draw, because, importantly, it's fun! On a side note, you gotta admire the stones on Austin to be able to say "we're going to see what your shooting proficiency is like" to the greatest shooter of all time! =D
I use the Mantis to improve my holster draw and recoil management. I train with it both dry and live fire. It gives me a "personal trainer" experience.
I've had my X10 for over a year now. Money well spent. Really shows me where I'm having issues. Works on my airsoft practice gun right up to my competition 2011.
This “Mantis X” would be the perfect companion for me when I’m trying out new holsters or similar gear. My local indoor ranges won’t let me draw from the holster, so I could use the Mantis X to know what my draw is like, and then shoot at the range from the low ready. Anything that helps sharpen my skills is awesome, but to do so without having to spend a bunch of extra on ammo is amazing!
I've had a X3 for a while now... still working and has made a huge improvement in my shooting... if I'm at the range or dry firing at home my MantisX 3 is always on my G19. What a great tool and great build/design/engineering! I can't wait until I can my hands on the X10, I need the holster draw analysis in my life, best thing since sliced bread IMO
I have recently started target shooting and love it. Mantis X10 will improve every aspect of my shooting skills from drawing the gun to making an accurate shot
Looks like a great learning tool for sure. Being a senior citizen I would use it to practice my home defense shooting. Right now I just dry fire which does not tell me if I even hit the target. I think my wife would also use this as well. Thanks for the videos.
In my latter years not being able to visit the gun range as often and coupled with ammo prices on a fixed income, I would find this a very helpful defensive concealed carry practice tool that I could use often ( more often than actual range time ), probably daily.........This could also aid in my coaching my siblings and their "puppys" proper handling and control............T.Y. for the opportunity !!
I’m relatively new to shooting, less than 2 years. I’ve primarily used my X10 to learn better control of a pistol as I pull the trigger. At this point it’s all been about using it to consistently hit the 10 ring. What I love about this product is that it continually helps me improve even as I gain experience.
I would love something like this system. Could really save some time and money at the range. I just might have to pick one up, cause I never win anything.lol thanks for all the great advice Jerry, you are truly an American icon.
New competition shooter looking to improve and move up the scoreboard. I feel I need repetition and a regularly scheduled training routine to do so. Thank you JM for your videos and Mantis for the offer. I will be looking in to training tools.
I'm a combat wounded vet from Iowa that very recently started getting into pistol shooting. I was military trained but recently took private lessons and learned so much. I really think this would benefit my progress and help me save a little money on ammo while improving my technique before my next class in September
Wow, what a great opportunity, have been looking into this system. I am planning on getting the full kit for pistol and AR and all the training pieces. Working on drawing from concealed, better accuracy and consistency. Winning part of this would help save some money!!! And will save so much on ammo... my gosh... Amazing system
Just starting out in USPSA and with ammo prices, the Mantis is a gamechanger and wallet saver. One of my biggest weaknesses is drawing quickly from a holster and getting on target for the first shot.
The Mantis X10 is what I need. I lost my leg last year and I haven't been to the range since. This would definitely help me recover some of my lost performance.
I used to shoot local and state USPSA and IDPA. I usually finish in the middle of the pack, just to give you an idea of where I was. Nothing special at all. I had some back surgeries that didn't go well. So........I haven't been able to shoot much for about 5 years. I would like to get some ideas about how bad I am now, and what I need to work on. My draw to first shot was never great. So that's it. Great watching you Jerry.
I'd setup the Mantis indoors in the evenings so both my wife and I could get more time handling our EDC guns It's hard to find a time when both of us can get to the range, so it typically gets put off. Mantis would help keep us fresh with our guns AND cause us to clean them a little more, too. LOL Enjoyed the video.
This is s great idea. Dry fire training is something I used to do more of back when ammo was more affordable ironically. I used to shoot more proof but these days, while I carry, I can't really afford to shoot much which put a damper on my enthusiasm for practice. I think picking one of these up would be a great way to get back into draw training
I just started (finally!) shooting competitions, did a new shooters match last week, and have my second USPSA event tonight, I do need to pick up one of these to help me progress.
I don’t use one of these, however I like the practical aspect of this for dry fire practice to improve my draw and fire skills and can do this in a safe and ammo free environment.
With Ammo prices what they are and my newest daughter in the picture, I would use this to help me with my dry fire practice to make it more productive and help me improve my time to target, as well as analyze my muscle movements to optimize my draw and identify what can be improved.
I'd use it for drawing concealed carry practice from a normal position instead of the ready position. Just to be more realistic in my training as to what would be real world since I don't compete. I do this now in front of a full length mirror so that I'm aiming at a real person. This would aid in showing where I'm adding time that could cost me in a life and death situation.
That is would be great for my wife and me. Running three kids around makes it tough to get out and find a range much less spending a bunch on ammo. Looks like a great tool for shooting better.
I've been thinking about a Mantis for about four years now. Not much range time these days. I would love to use a Mantis at home with my dry fire to help with trigger control and sight alignment before going back to the range.
I'm older, slower, retired, and don't get a lot of range time due to many factors that have effected us all these last couple of years. In a world getting crazier every day, this device could give a person the edge they need in a real world situation.
With ammo prices and shortage this would be a valuable tool to get excellent data on dry practice runs. I would use on my pistol practice without having to spend so much ammo when it’s still hard to find and save money
I recently started competition training. Started with fundamentals and a daily routine of dry fire. I'm paticularly trying to improve grip and trigger control.
I go to the range as much as possible. If I have the ammo to allow me to do that. I am running Trijicon SRO on two of my pistols and Burrs Speed Bead on my Benelli M2. I think that your system would be a big benefit for me. Thank you for giving one of your systems away. I'm sure it will benefit whoever wins it.
Loved the video and and great insight into the tool. If selected, this would become a daily use tool for me. The nearest range takes about an hour to get to, not to mention the costs for ammo and/reloading. As a CCP holder, my wife and I would use this to properly train and hone our skills for effective CC draw.
I have shot pistols off and on but never really trained consistently. My daughter and I are starting to train in order to begin shooting 3 gun competitions. The Mantis X10 would be a very valuable tool to help us become more proficient without having to expend the large amounts of ammo we are already about to start using.
I got the I-Target system some years back, before learning about Mantis. Where I live you have to drive a bit to go to an outdoor range so I don't get as much live fire time as I would like. Indoor ranges are good but many don't allow you to draw from a holster. What I like about the Mantis tool is the analysis of how your handling the firearm whereas I-Target only shows your shot placement via laser. I like the concept of the Mantis since you can use it while dry firing or live firing. I would like to try it at home to practice. Maybe in combination with the I-Target.
It would be great to have a Mantis X for dry fire practice. I have a I Target for years. I have watched other videos about the Mantis X and it is far advanced than the I Target. Thanks for the video and information.
This would help me to connect with everything I can't detect from just practicing shooting. There are a lot of potential things to discover and work on.
My wife loves using the mantis x3 for both live fire and dry fire training so she can see her mistakes and work on them. The x10 would be nice for draw analysis.
I just purchased a S&W M&P 2.0 w/ red dot after carrying a 6906 for many years. I'm noticing that acquiring the red dot is difficult for my old eyes and have really had to practice draw to first shot. This would be a great tool to help see where else I could improve!
I lost both legs around 4-5years ago ad in that i lost all my guns to pay for those surgeries. I be recently bought my first pistol in 4years. Went shooting with with some family a couple of weeks ago and I sucks, unless I was resting on a table I barely hit the target. I was drawing from a chest rig and a modified magnetic holster on the side of my wheelchair. I think this would definitely help retrain the brain and show the shortcomings on how I have things set up Thanks for the consideration WILLIAM
I have the Mantis Laser trainer I use it mostly for practice on my draw to first shot accuracy. With practice I can get draw times around 1.2 shooting Alphas and close Charlies. My cold draw is 1.3 to 1.4 if I don't trash the draw. I have considered the Mantis X as an addition to help get that more consistent .
This was supposed to be the year for starting some local competitions. Ammo as we know is still crazy and the mantis would give more feedback than an expensive day at the range.
Thank you for another helpful and informative video. I would love to try this product to help improve my handgun skills as I strive to be a better protector of my beautiful wife and children and also in my passion for competitive shooting. Thanks again!
Just turned 70 and am a New shooter. A steep learning curve fir sure. I am shooting in local competitions and sure need all the help i can get. Get Some 😄
Watching you and your daughter speak is always humbling and heart warming. Hope to get one Mantis X soon to suffice my data hunger :)

Never ceases to amaze me. The sheer power of thought involved.
You're a legend in the sport shooting community. Love your work, sir.
Training consistency- to see where the weak areas are and to work them out! Excellent system for that!

Great training tool to track progress and analyze areas for improvement
Had one of these for about a year now. What a great tool!
Need this Awesome tool for my wife & I to train on. Thank You for sharing.
Unfortunately I have never been able to test dry fire but what I sent in the video convinced me to turn better you have to know how to improve what you have to do
great video
Greetings from Dakar 🇸🇳
This is a great aid for personal defense training as well. Help train good muscle memory and show you bad or useles action before it becomes a habitual behavior. espcially the trigger control, i was very impressesed with how accurately it shows minor deviations.
I have been looking at these, with the cost of ammo & gas it make more sense now then ever.
Thanks.
I have been using a LazerHIT system for about 15 months and it has helped, along with saving ammo, but I really like the muzzle analysis on 10X.
Very happy!
you have been selected among my few giveaway winners, endeavour to reach out to claim package.
I like not only the feedback but the fact the MantisX gives some structure to dry firing.
I got the mantix X3 last year and it's been a terrific dry fire tool.
The technology is awesome but I absolutely love your ammo shelf. It just puts me in a good mood looking at it!
This would be a great tool to help with my dry fire practice. If you feel it would help you, it would obiviously help me. I really like that you can use this out of the holser. Keep on doing what you do.
The Mantis system seems like a great at home training aid to really hone in on the details! I can use this system!
Jerry having stuff to work on just shows that improvement is always possible 👍
Dry fire training is key for me. This would really help me with my trigger discipline.

I've had my X10 for over a year now. Money well spent. Really shows me where I'm having issues. Works on my airsoft practice gun right up to my competition 2011.
Thanks for the video it’s great for working dry fire to see wear you can improve on . Every bit helps!
This “Mantis X” would be the perfect companion for me when I’m trying out new holsters or similar gear. My local indoor ranges won’t let me draw from the holster, so I could use the Mantis X to know what my draw is like, and then shoot at the range from the low ready. I have recently started target shooting and love it. Mantis X10 will improve every aspect of my shooting skills from drawing the gun to making an accurate shot

It would actually make dry firing more than a muscle memory exercise, you can diagnose and correct your flaws. Cool idea. Have a great day.
Thanks Jerry, my draw really needs help and I already have the Mantis X system so now I see I need more dryfire with Mantis.
I’m relatively new to shooting, less than 2 years. I’ve primarily used my X10 to learn better control of a pistol as I pull the trigger. I use a G17 9mm for my Daily carry. Thanks for all the informative videos you put out.
I would love something like this system. Could really save some time and money at the range. I just might have to pick one up, cause I never win anything.lol thanks for all the great advice Jerry, you are truly an American icon.
Ammo costs being what they are and living in Commifornia I can benefit from every training aid I can get my hands on. Thanks for the great demo video.
I use my Mantis to decrease draw time to first shot breaking while still having good trigger control. Works a charm.
The Mantis X10 would be a great supplement to traditional dry-fire and live shooting, saving lots of money on ammo while keeping reps up!
Thx for doing this, I'd use it to get started on a base line to actually analyze where I need to work on during my draw cycle for my CCW
I’d be excited to try this out testing components and loads in addition to technique and dry fire
I use Mantis x10 for competition training and self defense. It really helps diagnosing problems, I would defiantly recommend trying this out.
I already had one and find its a great shooting coach.
What a fantastic tool. I would use this primarily on my carry pistols, my M&P 2.0 and Ruger max 9.
I would love a way to see what I need to work on. It would definitely up my dry fire trainin. Thank you fer showin this
I'd setup the Mantis indoors in the evenings so both my wife and I could get more time handling our EDC guns It's hard to find a time when both of us can get to the range, so it typically gets put off. Mantis would help keep us fresh with our guns AND cause us to clean them a little more, too. LOL Enjoyed the video.
The biggest focus for me would be trigger control. Being able to work on that dry and being able to see where I need help would be great.
This is s great idea. Dry fire training is something I used to do more of back when ammo was more affordable ironically. I used to shoot more proof but these days, while I carry, I can't really afford to shoot much which put a damper on my enthusiasm for practice. With Ammo prices what they are and my newest daughter in the picture, I would use this to help me with my dry fire practice to make it more productive and help me improve my time to target, as well as analyze my muscle movements to optimize my draw and identify what can be improved.
Not to mention ammo shortages @7:41, as Jerry stands in front of 1 million rounds of boxed ammunition.
Who doesn't like hearing Jerry explain the mechanics of shooting?
Looks like a very helpful training device to see your inconsistencies.
This would be a great help when winter comes and shooting gets difficult
I'm older, slower, retired, and don't get a lot of range time due to many factors that have effected us all these last couple of years. In a world getting crazier every day, this device could give a person the edge they need in a real world situation.
With ammo prices and shortage this would be a valuable tool to get excellent data on dry practice runs. I would use on my pistol practice without having to spend so much ammo when it’s still hard to find and save money
I recently started competition training. Started with fundamentals and a daily routine of dry fire. I'm paticularly trying to improve grip and trigger control.
Jerry your cool and your the Mack Daddy on the shooting range 😊👍
I go to the range as much as possible. If I have the ammo to allow me to do that.
I am running Trijicon SRO on two of my pistols and Burrs Speed Bead on my Benelli M2. I think that your system would be a big benefit for me. Thank you for giving one of your systems away. I'm sure it will benefit whoever wins it.
Since Covid and ammo shortage I haven’t been able to get to the range as often. The Mantis would be a great way to train in times like that.
The Mantis X10 would be a very valuable tool to help us become more proficient without having to expend the large amounts of ammo we are already about to start using.
living in Germany I have never had the opportunity to use the mantis.. but I'd loved to work with for ipsc
I would use to refine my draw strike, sight alignment & trigger control. Always good to practice & improve each & everyday.
I would use it for keep up on my training for self defense. What I have read and all this product is going to be a great training tool
I think this would definitely help retrain the brain and show the shortcomings on how I have things set up
Thanks for the consideration WILLIAM
Get Some 😄
I really enjoy the Mantis Shooting Courses
I primarily use a mantis for dry firing drill in offhand with a service rifle and M1 Garand
Recreational and self-defense focused shooter who would like to get into some faster-paced stuff. Looks like a cool system!
