Funny, he said to my aunt he was going to Rehab, and he just got out of the hospital. I don't know his relationship with Chrrist. I pray he was ready, Lord, help me because i want to be ready. You sound like you had a praying grandmother. ❤ Lord knows, a lot of people who were raised like us, don't teach their kids/grandkids to pray like our elders taught when I was coming up. I'm 53 now and I lost my grandmother when I was 6. I can still hear her asking God to protect her kids and grandkids when she prayed at night(I slept with my grandmother... I was her favorite). And in the morning she would THANK GOOD for keeping us. She taught us how to pray early in life, not just ourselves but for everyone. Today, I have 1 grandchild and I keep that little boy covered by the blood of Jesus!

My heart is so heavy when I hear this song !! My Mother passed 2 years ago and it seems like it was just yesterday. The grief process gives me days where I don’t cry, and other days where the sadness comes without any warning. When I hear the phrase “hard to rely on your Mamma’s prayers when your Mamma is no longer there”.. I start crying😢.. for many years when I was a young child, I didn’t understand what she was doing.. but now I realize because of her prayers, she taught me how to serve GOD in good times and bad times.. I know that one day my time will come, and I pray that I’ll be ready, for what a joyous celebration that will be -- when we all get together again !!!!! 🙏 Thank you GOD for giving me a Mother for 96 years that was unlike any other !!! Once she passed away, I was lost..literally. The Lord had put her in my life as a LIGHT & took her away. Once she was gone, I lost my way. I started selling drugs. I got on drugs & alcohol real bad & got locked up. It took almost 12 years to find my way back. Thank God! 🙏🏽

My mom Dorothy Polain transitioned on 19October2017 the same year on her 85th birthday 15April she told her kids when i'ved gone the last mile of the way love ye one another. She left behind much beauty and inspiration for us to feed upon. My mom was ready.
I remember summer of 2006 this was a big hit playing on local stations down south. In the midst of watching my father decline in his battle with cancer, this song would play seems every time we were going to the cancer center, back home, then constantly when he was admitted to the hospital. He spent his last 3 weeks in the ICU fighting the good fight. Once he passed away, this was playing on the drive home & it hit me that he was gone, but I felt like it was a wake up call in a sense. In order to get to where he's going I have to get myself together. I was 16 at the time & I am way more mature than most my age, but that's alright. It's an uphill battle in today's world, but I meditate daily & pray that God will keep me. There needs to be songs like this that can minister to people. Be blessed.

Once she passed away, I was lost..literally. The Lord had put her in my life as a LIGHT & took her away. Once she was gone, I lost my way. I started selling drugs. I got on drugs & alcohol real bad & got locked up. It took almost 12 years to find my way back. Thank God! 🙏🏽

I remember summer of 2006 this was a big hit playing on local stations down south. In the midst of watching my father decline in his battle with cancer, this song would play seems every time we were going to the cancer center, back home, then constantly when he was admitted to the hospital. He spent his last 3 weeks in the ICU fighting the good fight. Once he passed away, this was playing on the drive home & it hit me that he was gone, but I felt like it was a wake up call in a sense. In order to get to where he's going I have to get myself together. I was 16 at the time & I am way more mature than most my age, but that's alright. It's an uphill battle in today's world, but I meditate daily & pray that God will keep me. There needs to be songs like this that can minister to people. Be blessed.
