Hey Matt! I'm not quite sure how to start this, so I'll just say it: I don't think you understand the impact you've had on the world with your videos. I've ran into so many people on backpacking trips, canoe trips, fishing trips, etc. that have watched your content and always, ALWAYS have great things to say about it. You've made this Oklahoma boy go out and buy an UL canoe and start doing trips in the BWCA with my dog. It's a big change from my local lakes and rivers, but what an amazing journey. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for everything you've done. I can understand the mental break from it all. Just know that those of us that are a part of 'that' world think and care about you. Hopefully we'll see you again soon. God bless my friend.

Wow. A lesson learned. Don't be on the big water when a storm like that is coming. Thankfully everyone was able to get to land safely without injury or losing too much gear. Could have been much worse. Thanks for posting everything and putting the warning on the video so that others won't make the same mistake of judgement. Better to be safe and change plans that to discover you're in a situation where everything can go sideways in the blink of an eye. Mother Nature doesn't fool around. I bet that bacon double cheeseburger and brewski were especially good this time. You earned it.

It took me three attempts at viewing before I could watch the end. A friend drowned about six years ago and the potential was a bit raw as far as what the outcome could have been.

As someone who lives in the same region, There is basically no snow anywhere near Posa's stomping grounds this year. Furthermore, temps have been extremely warm so far too.

I have taken many Scouts out on trips and thankfully nothing has happened, but seeing a video like this helps grasp how quickly things can go sideways. And how quick desicions need to be made. I always wondered what would happen to your stuff if your boat flipped. Glad that you didn't lose as much stuff as you could've and that everyone is safe and sound! My favorite part of this video is either 1:20:07 when Rueger brought you the stick or when Funk thought you were fishing in the middle of chaos LOL
I remember Mat t and Monty went over once in rapids on a boundary waters trip and the viewer can see what matt doesn't know at that time - his map case and maps just float up out and away. So it has happened before but not in deep water. Coming after the fall Matt took on that log a year or so back I hope his confidence stays intact. That was a close call - he landed lucky.

I haven't seen anything where he said he wasn't going to keep doing them. And I think we would all love to see him continue if that's what he wants.

It was wonderful to see the boys out in the boats again, Rueger is becoming a real Boat Dog now like his Brother. Can't get over how calm you stayed during the storm & the capsizing, can imagine you weren't feeling calm inside but you dealt with the whole situation brilliantly. Such a relief to see everyone survived relatively unscathed, huge bummer you lost your phone & other equipment. I have taken many Scouts out on trips and thankfully nothing has happened, but seeing a video like this helps grasp how quickly things can go sideways. And how quick desicions need to be made. I always wondered what would happen to your stuff if your boat flipped. Glad that you didn't lose as much stuff as you could've and that everyone is safe and sound!
My favorite part of this video is either 1:20:07 when Rueger brought you the stick or when Funk thought you were fishing in the middle of chaos LOL
I remember Mat t and Monty went over once in rapids on a boundary waters trip and the viewer can see what matt doesn't know at that time - his map case and maps just float up out and away. So it has happened before but not in deep water. Coming after the fall Matt took on that log a year or so back I hope his confidence stays intact. That was a close call - he landed lucky.

Just meant he doesn't owe any of us another video if he doesn't want to continue making them (or can't for whatever reason), but I hope he would still get a kick out of the nice comments new people make as they find his channel. I haven't seen anything where he said he wasn't going to keep doing them. And I think we would all love to see him continue if that's what he wants.

Oh my goodness, i can't even begin to tell you how good it is to see you back. Have missed your videos sooo much. Thank you, thank you, thank you for filming this trip. It was wonderful to see the boys out in the boats again, Rueger is becoming a real Boat Dog now like his Brother.
Can't get over how calm you stayed during the storm & the capsizing, can imagine you weren't feeling calm inside but you dealt with the whole situation brilliantly.
Such a relief to see everyone survived relatively unscathed, huge bummer you lost your phone & other equipment.
