    1.Why it is called "fixed bias/base bias"?
    2.How the collector base junction is reverse biased by Vcc?
    3.Why base to emitter potential is equal to the barrier voltage?why not more than that?

    • @dhirajkumarsahu999
      @dhirajkumarsahu999 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. Base current IB is fixed. Therefore, this type is called the fixed bias type of circuit.
      2. CB junction will be reverse biased if the voltage drop at the collector terminal with respect to ground will be more than the voltage drop at the base terminals with respect to the ground. and this voltage drop depends on the values of resistors connected to the collector and the base terminals. Hence, we should choose the value of the resistors accordingly.
      3. It is because the base to emitter junction is forward biased in active mode and acts like a PN diode in forward bias.

    How is CB junction reverse biased? The C terminal is connected to positive end but B terminal is also connected to positive terminal.

    • @dhirajkumarsahu999
      @dhirajkumarsahu999 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CB junction will be reverse biased if the voltage drop at the collector terminal with respect to ground will be more than the voltage drop at the base terminals with respect to the ground. and this voltage drop depends on the valuse of resistors connected to the collector and the base terminals. Hence, we should choose the value of the resistors accordingly.

    • @sushilkatikia1384
      @sushilkatikia1384 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      An AC signal might contain some DC components, which could interfere with the biasing voltage of the transistor. To prevent interference, the capacitor is used to block those DC components.

    What is the reason behind using the coupling capacitors in the ckt?

    • @karanmakwana5129
      @karanmakwana5129 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Amir Ahmad
      Couplings capacitors are especially used when AC signal is given.
      AC signals are not always pure it contains small amount of DC signals so when AC is passed through capacitors ,DC components are blocked , thus input applied is pure and output is less distorted
