God's kind of love is agape (unconditional love). This is the love that is required in marriages otherwise the union just won't work or last the long haul.
The Bible only requires the husband to have agape love toward his wife. The wife is required to respect her husband and be submissive to his God-given position as the head of the family.

I don't understand. What's the point of marriage if you're not going to be the source of love for each other? If only God can fill the love we need and want, why even get married? Jesus is the ONLY source of love you need. Holy Spirit will fill you to overflowing with the Love of Jesus. From that overflowing of Christ's Love you love your wife. She loves you in the identical way.

This is hard, oh dear God this is hard. So much pain happened in our Marriage. To the point I got her arrested and a Protection Order against her. Her drinking was just destroying us. Now a year later, she has moved on and we are going through a Divorce. She's Sober and she is beautiful. Oh dear God she is beautiful! This is my Cross to carry. We have begun to talk again. She has a boyfriend. One night she came over to see if we still have Chemistry and we made Love. It was amazing and for her to. However she has her guard up now. I kiss her and she doesn't look at me. Dear God this hurts. However I told my Wife. My Source of Love is from God. No matter what, I am going to continue Loving you.
