To be honest, i really hate the dpe splash in any deck especially with verte but given I hate that halqdon abuse even more, i think it even itself out. Though its weird they didn't end on a chaofeng, they could afford to sack a backrow for a tuner revive or at least end the board with a monk tenyi for follow ups using adhara (if they run it, which they should).
SwordSoul and Virtual World, isnt full they combos, but nice duels, aways good seen a dumb meta lose. I like to seen decks against metas, bcuz it is the most commun to face/battle.
I get what you mean by you gotta remember its a control deck, you're supposed to win via card advantage and managing your resources rather than like huge beatsticks, IDS has been meta relevant/competitive since it was first used lmao its one of the strongest decks out there
