Lol I’m here for this title 😂
100% hooked pre-click lol
I tried so hard to keep it 10. I couldn’t do it hahaha
I really appreciate how you explain the jargon that many of the other tutorial videos (especially the official Adobe videos) assume everyone understands. Thanks for the good work!
out of the 50ish videos I went through to learn about this software, yours was BY FAR the best, no exaggeration. Thank you.
I think Matti is wishing you were there to help him with his premier pro problems...😂
Bahahaha
as someone who knows after effect
s and is trying to tackle premiere, I really liked our tutorial! it's very comprehensive and only goes into what is needed, thanks!
🥳🤗 I normally use Fusion, in Davinci Resolve, but I've always wanted to learn AE too because of the myriad of templates. There's times to do stuff manually and there's times where a template comes in clutch and saves you a lot of time. Thanks Matt!
Never saw a more concise video on After Effects. Great job. 20 minutes invested. Subscribed. Keep it up.
Love this type of video! Thank you for helping creators improve their content.
Matt this was great! Longer form is not necessarily bad + I (and i guess many others) have been searching for something like this for quite a while :) Excited for the follow up with slightly more advanced stuff :))
Mate, so simple and complete. Thanks a million!
Great video Matt! I like the pacing! This became sort of a quick review on After Effects for me. 🙌
Thank you! This was super helpful, just now picking up after effects and this was easy to follow!
This literally came at a perfect time as im trying to learn more about VFX! Thanks you!
Great stuff, man! Thank you for making this video!
really the best video handsdown!
Subscribing because you're fast with no fluff unlike many other channels that don't understand time constraints. Thank you for that.
LOVED it! Thank you!
Love the vid.. we want a part 2 of this!😄❤🤙
THIS is the video I needed! Thank you! 🙏
Excellent simple orientation video, thanks.
omg you are so good at teaching! thank you thank you!!!
This is great. Thank you!
Very fast and good explanation! Nice Job
The frame by frame shortcut is a lifesaver... thanks Matt
Thanks. Very useful info. Just starting to get into AE.
Thanks for this nice tutorial🙏👍
That's so helpful thanks bro!
I love AE. Thanks for this!
Nice tutorial! I've been staring longingly at AE for a year or so.
I honestly tried so hard to keep this video 10 minutes 😂 Also just added time codes!
Don't stress mate ^^
I didn't mind the 20 minutes! I learned more about AE in these 20mins then the I've learned in any skill share video in my life! Thank you Matt! Keep making great content brotha!
Mannnn, You are awesome. Please keep teaching us stuff like this. Love you from the depth of my heart. thank you!
It's 10 min if you watch it 2x fast 😎
@@prabhu9245 That's the spirit!
Thank you for making this amazing video, it was very helpful for me to understand all about AE especially their tools. I really like how you put so much effort to making this video. Thanks again. :)
you killed it maaaan!
Thank you soooo much! Best
Love your vids! Love your t-shirt! 😀😂 Which reminds me at you thinking of making some sort of merch
keep going man u are amazing
Thanks, This was what I was looking for, I also want to learn effects and not motion or elements... Just started watching but looks good so far
thanks for sharing. short (informative) and sweet! :)
Great video thank you very much
Real entertaining stuff here
Learning lots from each of your videos man!
Thanks Teppo! I’m glad to hear! 😄
Matt, lots of good information in this video. I've been using AE for a while now (getting more comfortable)...but I'm using 'Dynamic Linking' between Premiere Pro and AE for everything. Just seems to save me quite a bit of time. Just gotta make sure your COMP and VIDEO files resolution sizes match up or you'll get some errors. Yeah, think it went a little over 10 min. :)
I literally was going to comment “nice Vine shirt” the moment you started talking about it. Also, thank you much for the ‘ten’ minute video - I sincerely enjoyed it. ✌️
I always use Libraries. I flip from Indesign to Illustrator to Photoshop and it makes an easy method for tracking assets for individual clients. Things like spot colours that are important in the print world are nice to have in one place across all adobe.
Sheldon vibes at 2:04
Great tut, subbed, looking for more and getting on your discord.
✨F✨A✨N✨T✨A✨S✨T✨I✨C✨ 👍🏻 I really enjoyed this video. Thanks. New subscriber here. Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺
I use the libraries! Mostly at work for quick access to custom color swatches
Matt is like the "bill nye the science guy" but for all things video editing " Matt paquette the editing Jet"
Hahaha I’ll take it 😂
Could you please do more of these Matt!
Tahnks for the Vid AE 101
Thank you so much for the video, please make more AE tutorials!
It would be interesting with a video on your PP-AE workflow 🙃
I'm assuming that you have quite some experience with dynamic linking and creating your own presets and templates 😊
Adobe's libraries are great for Graphic Designers, particularly for saving colour palettes. They do work a lot better in the likes of InDesign and Illustrator, but do come in useful in After effects for traditional Motion Graphics and brand work.
*_ye_* ah...just saved this video to my most important videos playlist. thanks man
Good pacing, lots of info :)
Awsomeness
Thank You!
Hey Matt nicely done. You can definitely give that Peter guy/Matti guy a run for their money. 😃😃😃😃😃😃
Best video on here
Ogawd thank you so much for stopping that repetitive, distracting background music when you got to the actual tutorial. So many tutorial makers seem to think that background music makes their tutorials more …. interesting, maybe? Attractive? I dunno, but it just makes them completely unlistenable for me. So thank you again!
Great tut...
amazing
Matt ! I would LOVE a video on opening templates!!!!! Please !
good video explation!
Mat: 'Its your boi, editor Mat'
Me: hey
🤣
Thanks for the dope videos mat! Your so cool!
Love this! Did you use AE to do the captions for your video? I'm tryna learn that!
Regarding Libraries:
I work for a (kinda?) big company and we have a marketing/design team with like 10 people, so we use shared libraries with our most used stuff... Some color paletes, textures, logos and things like that... this way we don't need to keep importing everything over and over when we star a new project... And the library is shared among all adobe products (or most of them I guess), so I can open Photoshop, Illustrator or After Effects and its just there to use it... To me it speeds up our workflow, a bit tedious to organize everything but quite useful in the end :)
Really wish you were a Davinci Resolve user so I can ask you all the questions and it's fun to watch your tutorial.
Cool!✌️
THANK YOU MATT! I've spent some time over the last week learning After Effects where my only Adobe knowledge was from Premiere Pro. This awesome quick overview was great to consolidate my basic knowledge and introduced me to some life-changing tips (Ctrl - in particular!).
'I hope its 10 minutes long.......'
20 minutes later....'so... let's open After Effects...'
😝🤣
HA, great video, its informative, fast and no "water" and the guy is funny
i like cc library because you can put an asset from another app, and drag and drop it into after effects.
Thx!!!
thanks homie:)
You are Immense!!
You have my respect for that shirt
Great vid, any chance of doing a video on creating motion graphics? Keep up the awesome content!
It’s in the list of videos!
thanks buddy
Great video man!
I use FCPX but I still watched the whole video for some reason..
I appreciate you!
Awesome video Matthew, love the channel. What screen recording program do you use?
Thank you! I just use OBS!
What is the background music? I like! Thanks for your video instruction.
I got half way through and realized that I am already lost 😂 I'll come back when I am more awake
Thank you for this! I’m trying to learn the space elevator effect by @cbenfey and I’m not familiar with the workspace of AE. So this helps a lot!
Even though this is nothing new... I discovered some small hacks! Thanks Editor Matt 😎 🙏
Those marks on your wall make me think you haven't cleaned your sensor. Love your videos, sir.
You and everyone else hahaha
@@matthewpaquette I appreciate that you replied to my comment. I can't wait for you to be too big to do so. You've got some great content and I wish you the best.
thank u
Thank you Matthew! To answer your question about Libraries, I uses them to set my company brand colors and have them always easy available. Now my question for you: to edit a video, do you use AE stand alone or do you open the different footages from Premiere in AE and then save back to Premiere?
Oh cool! I see how that could be helpful. Usually I’m passing a clip from premiere to after effects to edit. Sometimes if it’s just one clip I’ll just do it in AE
Matthew Paquette Also, if you’re using Photoshop or Illustrator you can pass colours, styles, logos etc throughout the apps without having to save or record anything. If you work with multiple clients you can create a new library for each client and store brand colours, text styles, logos in a separate library for each. Also, if you are working with a “teams” account, you can share libraries across team members and devices.
Very good.....Yes i chose to watch your video......because you are a super duper after effects kangaroo.
Please I have a problem, my panel has occupied my whole screen, how do I return it back to the way it was.
I hope this video is successful so we get more Ae tutorials!
HELP!!! I keep getting "3d camera tracker use only in the composition panel" When I drag a file in, there is just a black rectangle with a white outline that shows up.
i need more on part 2
Hey we want MORE
That was wicked fast, but dang if I didn't get a ot out of it.
Ur video is actually 10 mins if u watch it in 2x.
Great tutorial, BTW))
You're a Fucking G dude!
