This is practically all I was messing with 2 weeks ago with this beta version. It’s oddly comforting to see the exact same issue I was running into. It tricks you into being excited with how well it works till it has those hiccups and such. Still great to see the progress of this tool. Thanks for sharing!

Rotobrush 2 is way better wow! I haven't tried it yet though. I used version 1 for some rotoing work on a couple feature films in like 2010-2011 (cs5 I think?) and it was better than manually rotoing everything, but it was still a pain to work with; this new version looks way cleaner!
I've tried a couple of experiments with Rotobrush 2 and have found that it's still not ready for primetime. I've had lots of problems separating a subject from a background when there isn't enough contrast between the two. RB2 is easily confused.

Also the rotobrush 2 is WAYYYYYYYYY better than the first! This works like we all wanted the first one to work, out of the box basically with a little bit of tweaking! A lot faster than masking imho!

Hi in After effects, once we select an item we want to isolate using a roto tool and pen (I want to take the candles out of a picture and move into another picture )what key do we press? for example I have a picture of candles I used the pen to select around the candle angels, now I don't know how to save it? and then how to move it onto my other picture background I created, that I want it to be on, please help! thanks

I was using the toto rush a few days ago and I encountered the same issue that you had where it was fine and then it just went doofus mode and made holes and crap. They need to fix that. There's also an issue where I cut something out and it only does it for one frame and then I'm stuck doing it frame by frame... There are lots of bugs that need to be fixed with it but it is still very good so far
Yeah! I honestly hate using the rotobrush tool because how buggy it usually is. Seems like it’s come a long way!
