    I will never get over how accurately this movie captures the energy of a concert. I feel the thrill and unity of the music all over again every time I watch this scene

    Intro to "Fever Dog" is a take-off on "When the Levee Breaks" by Zeppelin. The "Riot House" (Hyatt) is an actual hotel on Sunset, and is absolutely legendary. There's a lot of accurate references in this movie.

    One of my fav movies EVER! I love it that Nancy Wilson picked out the music soundtrack. She was Cameron's honey at the time. Since she and sister, Ann, LOVE Led Zepp as much as I LOVE CSNY, it's only natural that the soundtrack is peppered full of Led Zepp tunes. And she threw in some Neil, too. I loved everything she chose. And YES, alot of the musical references are absolutely true. I especially loved the nod to Crosby in the poker scene, HA! As a sort of band aid myself since 1969, I can certainly attest to how correctly most of the whole concert experiences were portrayed, from the traveling by bus or plane to the venue, to the whole " hotel" drill, the stage events, the backstage events, the groupies, the wives, and significant others or wannabes, drugs, drug people and last but not least, the BANDS. I'm 68 now and I LOVE all my memories. This movie NAILED IT ALL! BIG TIME!

    At many, many concerts when the lights go on and the sound 'happens' band members smile because the roadies/friends got it right.

    I love this movie, takes me back to the 70's when music was music, when you had to have real talent to make it. Young people just do not get it, to listen to music back then you either had to listen to the radio or go buy it, like Penny Lane says in the movie, if you ever get lonely just go to the record store and visit your friends, young people will never know that feeling because almost all record stores are gone. Another great movie that takes me back is Dazed and Confused.

Seeing it again yesterday in cinema after 18 years i was waiting for this scene to come and had been thinking about this song in my head all evening before i got there , man the sound in the cinema was so fucking loud it really felt like you were at that fucking concert , just couldnt stop bopping my head after dick said stillwater .

    Does it ever seem like a little bit of a plot hole to anyone else that a band would OPEN with their top song? It's generally the top song that closes it. I know it's a movie though.

    • @yosemitesam106
      @yosemitesam106 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      with a 25 minute opener you gotta pull all punches. fever dog wasn't their most popular either, it was their newest. they'd close with a "fan favourite" or something older that's become a closing staple

    • @MusicissuperiorEVHROX316
      @MusicissuperiorEVHROX316 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Not all bands at the stage Stillwater are at closed with their biggest hit. On the Hotel California tour, the Eagles always opened with the title track from HC.

      This is what I don't understand about you people: you hate a film and yet you just have to come here to say it. If you don't like something, then fucking stay away from it! I hate Justin Bieber, but I don't go and shit all over his songs on social media because it's something that I don't like and don't want to be a part of. The rest of us happen to think that this movie was great, so fuck off and watch something that you do like.

      @@3dsmaxrocks699 you misunderstand the point I'm trying to make. I'm just saying if you don't like something, ignore it. When I see something I don't like, say a video about building a shed, I click "Not interested" or "don't recommend channel" rather that clicking in it and spreading negativity in the comments. I realise that that may come across as hypocrisy, and for that I apologize. Still, don't click on something you don't like. It's like going to a music video by a band that you absolutely despise only to express this. I understand the psychology behind it, but at the same time, just don't do it. It's that simple. Do something different.
