This ruling is going to hurt college sports, and I love it! The reason why is because the NCAA will get a taste of their own medicine in what they have been doing to universities and various colleges across the nation for decades.
Bear in mind, I play a college sport as well, I just play club ball for the MCLA (Men’s Club Lacrosse Association) and not the NCAA.
It only legalizes what's been going on for decades.. as far as the NCAA holding players back well anyone can join the NFL you don't have to have a college degree. Anyone can be drafted. We probably won't be seeing any more college student athlete free or cheap new car scandals, the new norm may be so what kind of car can y'all get me if I decide to go to your school and play for your team

Players need to unite and go into business for themselves - take out the middleman. Create their own organization.
What about all of the students that actually pay for their education that helps subsidize all of the FREE stuff the athletes get?

@@mrbear1302 Students get the education they pay for, based on the tuition set by the school. FREE? The athletes work and drive in millions for the university from apparel, to ticket sales, to video games etc. Students have zero contributions to this.

There needs to be a class action lawsuit against EA sports! I don't even understand how it is possible to use someone's likeness that's a college student who's not being paid!
Not being paid? Have you seen the cost of tuition these days?....that they get for free by the way.

I got a better scholarship from the school than athletes they get $1500 a semester partial scholarship, I got a wavier of $5000 a year.

Funny that sports and big companies are making bank by ad and revunes on teams the same time you have big time sports like NBA, NFL and so others making player millions of dollars meanwhile college students make small amount.
Free tuition and a lot of other stuff is not cheap. They make more than you think.
@@mrbear1302 that’s not every player. Also, sports scholarships generally don’t cover room & board, and school materials. As a consequence of NCAA’s rules, scholarship players cannot get jobs to cover these expenses. There’s more to college than just tuition.
