As soon as my son is old enough to take art seriously he'll definitely be getting some better supplies. That will be a while from now, since trying to eat his supplies is still too tempting for him... BUT he'll definitely have what he needs!
My grandmother was also an artist, so when I showed interest, she got me the "right tools" no crappy $1 pencils. She encouraged me to use oil pastels as well as soft pastels. I'm really thankful for her.

That gesso is amazing. I love you when you realized the shadow was on the wrong side you just changed it. There are no mistakes, just happy accidents. Takes a little more time, but you still get there in the end.
I would have never thought to use clear gesso! Great idea and I loved the final result 😀 oh! And that Harry Potter coloring book??? Yes! Btw the cup was bespelled in the maze just like the horcrux in the vault was, couldn't summon. I think after it served it's purpose as a port key the anti summon spell was negated.

I feel like you'd see that next to a picture of a legendary artist in a museum

Absolutely love the finished picture! You totally elevated it! The depth and texture is awesome! 🖤🖤🖤 Harry didn't accio the cup because when it was in the maze, it had spell blockers surrounding it. The book explains it, the film doesn't. 😔 When we do blood or gore on our channel, we always call it raspberry jam... We're fooling no one! 🤣🤣🤣

It has never occurred to me that adding a layer of gesso would make such yucky paper a better surface to paint because I've never seen clear gesso before. It turned out so amazing
“If you want them to learn and grow buy them the right things.” Thank you! Right! I do understand that price is a very big factor but there are ways to still fuel the creative process and growing interest while still buying them the right things. There are many times I’ve wished for those things and even to this day it’s still happening 🥲

Dude. Pokemon. More Pokemon. There's never enough Pokemon. Also, this was fantastic! Watching you get the depth of color with the acrylic was lovely to watch. I have a hard time with that, especially because it dries so fast. I'd love to see you do a comparison video of Arteza against something like Apple Barrel. Both are fairly affordable, AB comes in a really wide range of color, Arteza is trying to catch up to said wide range. I'd like to get into acrylic but because the medium dries so fast and sometimes I get distracted/pets demand my time, I have a hard time using it and generally only bring it out when I'm trying to get something like a 3D texture on a pencil/marker piece. Or I'm combining it with something else like Faber Castel's Gelatos. Either way, fantastic work, keep it up! Stop doubting yourself, you're awesome!

I feel like this video proved that coloring makes a drawing 10x better even if your drawing is good or bad. I have been struggling with coloring since i finally have my own money to buy color pencils and cheap watercolor

Acrylics are amazing. And I liked watching them more than I do markers. Please make more with acrylic paints.

i use that wood glue while making papermodels because it gets transparent and holds perfectly
if used on big surface yes it will bend
