Just made this for a Christmas gift. I used a blue Batik floral print inside, a yellow Batik sunflower print outside, and green Batik straps. Has a Hawaiian feeling. The recipient is going to Hawaii in the new year, so it's perfect for her trip. Absolutely couldn't get my fusing to fuse, but used it anyway, hope that won't cause any future headache. Would love to make this with a flap and a crossbody strap. Thankyou, this was my very first bag, your tutorial was excellent!
Hi Lestanyman. If the fabric was new, make sure you wash it without using fabric softner. Then the fusible interfacing will stick. Merry Christmas🎄and happy new year😊

Just made my second one, and the fusing did better this time. I ended up keeping my iron on it double what the instruction suggested.

Love it. To make a pocket you’d probably have to see it on the fabric before sewing it together right?

I love this method! Would it be easy enough to add some type of zipper. Would you have to change much at the top with regards to the placement of the straps?

This is just one way to install a zipper. There are many different methods.

Btw do you prewash your fabric?

measurements please, also how to do one with a zip
Hi Leanna. The measurements are at the beginning of the tutorial. Use 2 fat quarters, cut them in half (approximately 9" x 21").
