    I'm older gal and was a photography major in HS. The 35mm film iso 200,400 etc.. pack of three or four was no more than $11 and development on a good was was $3.99-7.99 one hour was highest $9.99. the thrill to see the pictures taken, the tricks and tips to get those images near perfection to save film, money,time,skills yeah those where the days!!!!!!!!!!

    Ektar i think is named after it's classic film stock... And the h35 is self explanatory. But man those shots from the H35 are great..

    I looked them up and apparantly the two cameras are made in the same Chinese factory that pays a license to put the name of the company on them. That is why if you look at most of these new film cameras they all look astoundingly similar. That doesnt take away from their utility though and they are fun! I am waiting for 110 to make a comeback I know lomography still makes the film as i have been shooting it in an old kodak.

    Love your video and comparisons! I was paid $50 for shooting an event, so I bought the H35 (H=Half-frame, 35 = mm film?). Haven't used it yet, but want to actually use it to shoot a roll of Ektar film, just because, well, you know, Ektar in an Ektar! Also, best film in a not-so-best camera =??

    • @RamoArt
      @RamoArt 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As someone who's been shooting half frame for years I would suggest avoiding grainy films. At 35mm I adore obvious grain, but I definitely underestimated the effect it has on half frame. Then I shot Lomo color 800 (my all time favorite) in my Olympus Pen F...
      The frames are half the size of what you're used to, so imagine DOUBLE the grain size of what you're used to. Not desirable in my opinion.

    The graininess on film cam be severely changed by iso blower iso is less grain, also half frame isn’t the smallest, by ALOT there’s 8mm photo film this is 1.8 cm by 1.2cm I think but I ain’t lie sure, the name of film doesn’t mean size , 135 film isn’t 135 cm or mm and 120 isn’t 120 mm it’s 6cm, film quality at a low iso is incredibly high

      depends on the lab where you develop your film, but usually they'll offer an option to have the film digitalized.

    it is better not to buy this camera, first they create a problem, they double the cost of film, and than the sell the solution which is a half frame camera, so you can have the same cost per frame. The result is of course the decrease of quality and resolution. Also the quality of the camera is so low that it is not advisable to put an expensive film inside. for 50 $ it is better to buy a second hand slr.
