Interresting to see Breda through the tourists eyes. There are alot more to see in Breda. The mastbos, The Galdeze Meren, Ginnekenkarkt, Markdal and the area where Ginnenkenstraat/weg, Baronieland etc. See you next time.

There is a hotel in Breda that was used by Napoleon as gun power factory. It isn't a simple hotel, it's also a school. A school hotel. They work only during week days but the room is enormous and cheap. It is called "Onderwijshotel De Rooi Pannen Breda". Highly recommended.

Must say I do miss visits to pubs (bruin cafes) though, which I think represents a big part of Dutch culture and lifestyle (end of the afternoon for instance). Not just the fancy coffee bars and nice restaurants 😊. And in summer sitting outside for hours on a terrasje. Hope to see you in one of the Hanzetowns soon! Love the sun on your hair 😉

Watching this from a Walmart parking lot in Rochester, New York. I miss these Dutch cities although Rochester looked good too while driving through it.
I can recommend Leeuwarden, Groningen and lots of the smaller northern towns of the Netherlands.
In Barcelona, I would recommend the bus tour first. It’s more spread out and that way you can see where you would like to hike to. Everyone will see the famous fountains there. I’d say they look better after sunset with the beautiful lights on 😇

I really hope you had a great time here. (If you didn’t already, go check out Efteling in Kaatsheuvel it’s a very lovely theme park one of the best of Europe in my opinion)

Oh I forgot here are some additional places you two could go to in the Netherlands
      Rijksmuseum
      Van Gogh museum
      Nemo science museum
      Kinderdijk
      Neeltje jans
      Keukenhof
      Anne Frank house
      Maduro dam
      Euromast
I hope that’s not too overwhelming but those are some things that can keep you busy for your time staying here.
Most of these places also have maps and tours in English so you don’t have to worry about that.If there’s anything you would like to know about these places you can always ask me 😉.

This video is a good reminder for me to go back to Breda. It has been years. If you're going north of the Netherlands, you should definitely check out Groningen. Het Groninger Museum (the building is designed by Medini) , het Forum (great view over the city and an amazing public building including a comic book museum and changing activities/exhabitions), cocktails at Mr Mofongo and great Lebanese food at Restaurant Fatoush. Our trainstation was elected as most beautiful trainstation of the Netherlands (but is under construction right now ). I wish you a great time in Barcelona. Greetings Marloes

Love your vlog about Breda. And I'm glad you had a good time. The owner of Sip First has another establishment in the center called koffie bij Teun. For Barcelona I suggest you take the Hop On Hop Off Bus tour. It stops at most sight seeing spots. And you can get on and off as much you can. Saves buying tickets. Off cours you can't miss Sagrada Familia and Parc Gruell. One personal suggestion from me, La Taverna de Barcelona.

Breda! The locals generally consider Breda as the best in history, art and shopping. The birth place of DJ Tiësto, Hardwell and R3HAB. Numerous times vote Best Dutch City. Full of history, it actually is the birth place of New York because here is where the Dutch signed New Amsterdam over to England after giving them there only naval defeat in ever on there own territory near Chatham! Ever heard about the horse of Troy? In Breda during the 80 year war against Spain, the story is about “het turfschip” (the turf ship). William of Orange 1ste wife is buried under the 15th century old former Catholic Church. I can go on forever but check out yourself 😅

@@TAndTGoDutch Yeah! highly recommend to visit Breda during one of the many many events. The city of Breda prouds itself on them and thrives to be eventcity of Europe. Not just the BeNeLux, but actually of Europe. Specially because it offers a wide range of events. Not just music events. Here follows a selection of what I believe to be the best events in a way longer list of events that take place in 1 year.
Jazz:: Big, crowded and mostly free. Providing a line-up with artists that come from all over the world. FE. Prince had his last show on a previous edition of this event.
Breda drijft/floats: As many people as possible get motivated to join the masses in getting onto a floating object and float to the center. Stages everywhere down the route.
Breda Photo: Cultural exhibition with many artists showing their photo's in a different theme each year.
Cultuurnacht: The entire cultural sector gets into organising something and they let the crowd follow a route to see it all. (Have to pay for)
Klunen: Big pre carnaval event where we pretend to be on ski trips. We strugle on ski's trying to get from bar to bar without snow or pistes.
Trailerfest,: The main house/techno event down at the lake for teenagers with best vibe. Adults also allowed and not out of place.
Breda Barst: :Wide range of music festival in valkenberg park.
Brand Parkies: weekly returning concert in valkenberg park.
Last but the very very very best,.
Do not know if you guys ever experienced Carnaval, but this is the biggest and baddest event in the world if you ask me. This year for first time since corona outbreak as it used to be. I strongly reccommend either Maastricht or Breda to experience this fun culture shock to any foreigner.
Fair warning: Do not try this sober.

Hey my friends, for Barcelona a culinary tip is the many bars with "pinxtos" = the Bask tapas little bites that you order per piece and are delicious 🙂 And drink the yellow "Licor quarante y tres" -Licor 43 !
Keep your eyes open on the Ramblas.. famous boulevard but also famous for pick pockets that distract you and they work in teams 1 for distraction, 1 for taking valuables from you by bumping into you or touching you and another that takes the loot and runs! Many many tourists get robbed this way.. Please really keep away from any one there. Keep a distance!

I think I was 6 the last time I was in Breda (pronounced Bray-DA'). Certainly too long ago to remember... anything about the town.
Speaking of miniatures... Have you been to Madurodam yet?

Much of the south was liberated by the Americans and British. The Canadians liberated Amsterdam.

You could better go off to Dordrecht, oldest city from Holland "Not The Netherlands" It's 20 min back from Breda, between Rotterdam and Breda.. It's more historical, and fun facts

@@TAndTGoDutch You can take a tour through the little river cross canale the city, they also say it's the little Venatie of the Netherlands the old church you can climb up the there, only stairs.. Uhm, great restaurants, don't know what you looking for. But it's a very good place whit lots of historical places.. So the centre it's a great visit :)

@@TAndTGoDutch | The American Constitution was heavily influenced by an event that took place in Dordrecht between 1618/1619; the Synod of Dort. Apart from the Canons of Dort, (still relevant in many American Churches (presbyterian brand)) also a Church governance structure was formulated (very much focused on local self governance in stead of the centralized hierarchical Roman Catholic structures). That was around the same time the 'Pelgrim Fathers' arrived in Holland and participated in the implementation (in Leiden!). They emigrated from Leiden to America a few decades later. Some decades later they were involved in the founding of Harvard and Princeton (originally schools for Theologians). School that some decades later educated a lot of people who a few decades later participated in formulating the founding documents of the US. The same fundamental idea of local self governance is deeply ingrained in those documents. Many have pointed out the striking similarities between the Declaration of Independence and the 'Acte van Verlatinghe' (2 Centuries prior). It followed the same route. The Mayflower contained a lot of Dutch idea's... the option of becoming a Republic being another...
So take that in mind, when you're there...
