I got a message from them also this week! I have bought almost every specialty mustang and truck they have made over the last 20 years. from gt500s to lightnings. So fingers crossed i get an allocation!

First off…… Great content on sports and super cars! I started following you because you had a GT350R and enjoyed all your videos on the mustang platforms. Great information on street and track performance and daily driving experience and cost associated with owning them. I think it would be in Fords best interest to give you an allocation for the mustang GTD, cause I know you’d give us some great content on the vehicle. Best of luck on getting one!

I am with you... Mustang owners should be high on list for consideration. Especially the higher-end cars like the 350s and 500s. The GT should have some serious bias toward owning a GTD. Tracking cars should also be a factor. Good luck. Looking forward to seeing your content with this car.
I thought you had choice of color and magnesium wheels were an option. There was video I saw about it. See if I can dig it up in my watch list.
With millions upon millions of people owning Mustangs, it ain't easy to exactly pick from the pool that exist, unless you add in very specific criteria for it which ends up with the same result of the current situation of selections anyway.

Speed Phenom Great Video I definitely agree that Ford have S650 GTDs Serviced at GT Service Centers since the Technicians are already highly trained for working such high performance vehicles and I hope you end up getting a S650 GTD

I've purchased 7 new Fords, in my lifetime. I don't care if they were Pintos, I better get an allocation or I'm rising hell! You had a good point about if we have been Mustang owners, shouldn't we get priority on this GTD. Ford better do the right thing by me.
I actually have a GTD on order the dealership is getting 9 of those and I'm number nine on the line animals allocations and what I can tell you it is the biggest Ford dealership in the country

My guess is you can get any color you want since it’s pretty much hand built.
I really wish it was like the old days and you could pay extra on any vehicle and get a custom color. I’d pay $5,000 to be able to do that.
I think they are looking for people with the deepest pockets? That being said these cars are for the track so I really hope u get one to use what’s it’s made for instead of people buying them and sitting in a garage there whole life. Best of luck Austin.

I got the same letter. I have had lots of mustangs. Recently sold my 21 gt500 CFTP. Still have my 20 gt350R. We will see how it goes.
As much as I think you deserve that car I have a feeling with the limited production of them your out. Just because of this corrupt world we live in. I am sure there is a long line of (priority people) that have it locked in already.
If you get chosen and they say you can paint it any color you want you should have it painted Mista Chrome from the 04 Terminator that would be nasty

One thing i do know about ford is that if they accept your order then you sale it, itl be i high chance they wont look your way anymore
I haven’t heard from ford!!!! I’ve owned a 1980’s 150, 1974 Mustang II, a 2019 Bullitt, 2020 GT 500. Now Ford Austin is your man and rightly deserves the GTD as he will USE it and show the world all about it whether driving across the country or on the track and ask him about StephenR! And I forgot Bronco Area 51 color I purchased too! And I used a friends green 1969 Mustang for a year while he was in the Army.
The first thing I like to say again to Ford is, "If you are looking at this Austins channel please accept this man's application." Second, I'm so hyped for the 2024 race year. I'm looking forward to seeing the Stang compete in the Australian Drag/Supercar, Gt4/3, LaMan, etc races. My eyes will be glued to the GtPro World TH-cam channel every weekend, if I don't get the subscription u feel me. I can't wait to hear that theme music with the Mustang in the Highlights and hopefully, they will bring home some championship.
Hopefully one day Austin 🙏🏽 we will see you competing in the GtPro world.

$300,000 Mustang gotta wonder how’s the market reacting and who’s even willing to buy. So expensive , almost double the price of a C8Z06 which puts out remarkable numbers, I wonder what they’re actually doing with this thing 😳
If this does what they claim, it will be leagues ahead of the mid engined monstrosity you mentioned, at least this retains it front engine roots. How can they even call the C8's corvettes? they went from half decent muscle cars to supercar tryhard lol.

I've got the same email a few days ago. I've owned a mustang since 1982 and every model since. (Even Super snakes) I still have my 67 gt500 in 1982 recently highly modified. I'm a diehard blue oval man, I've owned f150s, 250s and my 22 f450 platinum. I'm at my local track with my highly modified gt350r & gt500 trackpac on a regular basis.
I hope I get the GTD, I wanted the GT but the markups were outrageous. I'm not gonna pay a million plus for a car, house yes, car no. I'm lost as to how Ford will decide who gets one. As long as it's fair to where everyone who wants one gets a chance. Not just car collectors and celebrities who won't even drive it to it's potential. Just look at to say I have one.
If get one I know one thing, it'll join my 67 gt500, 20 gt350r & 22 gt500 in my garage. Plus it'll be hitting the track just as often as the other three will. I don't believe in show cars, you get a car to drive it not to look at it.

Wasn't a reason you ditched the GT500 "it uses too much gas"? Are you thinking the GTD is more fuel efficient?
2005-06 Ford GT ownwers didn't get priority in the allocation of the new FGT.
I think the demand was higher than anticipated and they're trying to figure out how many cars they should produce.

With all the appropriate complaints he brought up about the Ford Dealership problems with 350R carbon wheels and tire installation, I'll be surprised if he gets an allocation.
Not only that, but it seems like it would be even more headaches trying to get the GTD serviced. Maybe you're better off if you don't get one.
We will be selling ours 100k over sticker, already have a reservation for a local customer.
I think this is the keep the Dolphins (aka Flippers) away as much as possible and to get more into the hands into the envisioned demographic a la Ford.

Absolutely , NO Mustang is worth $300,000! Ford should embrace any sucker willing to pay that amount.... I can see your desire for YT content, but do you really plan to keep the car long-term, I doubt it. You do have great content on here!
What exactly do you mean by it's not worth 300k ? What exactly does this car have or not have that makes it cheap or in your point of view not worth the pricing it's asking ? It is not of any real importance, I am simply curious. It's also worth noting that Ford is looking for long term buyers, if Austin is the type to not wanna keep it long term than it's more of a reason for Ford not to accept him as a serious buyer, so it's best he shows real interest unlike most people who claim to deserve it or claim others like Austin deserve it.

You would think a TH-camr who specializes in actually tracking cars, would get some consideration. Would hate to see collectors get cars that sit in a private garage to collect duct. If you don't get an allocation, there is always Barrett Jackson in a year or two. The Porsche GT4RS was impossible to get an allocation, now there are all over Autotrader.

How many Mustang owners can actually handle driving this thing or will actually track it ? Last I checked people really like making fun of Mustang drivers for sucking at driving and crashing into crowds, which I don't exactly follow but it sure is an argument.

Here’s the right way you choose buyers for these special-edition track-focused cars: ask them how often they’ll bring the car to the track, and sort them by that. PERIOD. Not how much they are willing to pay over sticker or how many F150s they’ve bought in the past decades!! Simply not relevant!
I dunno about that. That seems like a lot of R&D for just a handful of cars to be sold to people willing to risk a $300k vehicle on the track.
That's the worst way to sort things possible, and the least proper way too, as in that's the laziest way to make an allocation and simply invites people who are irresponsible or incapable of actually purchasing or driving the car. If you are to own a specific vehicle that is an actual track car, letting Ford know that you do, that you actively use it and actively have owned multiple versions of different vehicles and their own is a much more responsible and thoughtful way of going with things. Anyone would apply to this if all the requirement is simply how much you might take it to the track, there is literally even less chance for people who actually deserve the car to get it than because anyone can.
@@raionshishi8290 Austin is EXACTLY the type of buyers you’re talking about. In fact, he’s a bigger enthusiast and better driver than 99.9% of them. So answer me - why haven’t Ford give him an allocation yet for the GTD? And why Ford denied Austin’s eligibility to purchase the new GT40?
I see you posting multiple replies under this video bashing people’s ideas on the allocation process. Do you have any better idea on how Ford should do the allocation? I suggest you be constructive instead of critical in the comments.

@@jackzhang6705 Austin is 1 of the many people in line for this allocation, same as the Ford GT, Austin has the potential to be picked, but it's ultimately up to Ford who they decide gets it and gets it first. So no amount of excuse or opinion or bias will change any such factors or make it better for anyone. You don't have all the answers in the world so why should I ? Austin simply didn't get the Ford GT (not GT40) because he wasn't on Fords radar of what they were looking for or simply had others who were picked and was limited.
You see me post and say I bash people which is ironic considering they are doing the same thing with no real constructive feedback even tho I barely comment, they simply say what they feel and their bias towards giving Austin or complaining about Ford not letting just anyone own it. Why not complain about any other manufacturer that does this ? Ferrari, Porsche, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini and many more all have the exact same process and nobody ever has anything to say and even when they do they go quiet soon after because it's not something they can influence or change, it's the way it's set to be and suppose to be. People need to understand that things aren't the same, things change, and you can't simply look at the past and say it has to be the same or that it has to be that way. People can't accept that a Mustang costs 300k, no Mustang is worth 300k, I would rather buy a Porsche than a 300k Mustang. Do those sound like proper constructive comments or comments with any real thought put behind them or real understanding of what is the point ?

I still say the gtd is a useless development. The Ford gt is the best platform they have to develop . Ford could use a cosworth 3.8 liter V8 in the Ford GT .
I'll never purchase any kind of vehicle that I have to jump through hoops in order to get. Ferrari, forget it. If you don't want to sell me the model I wish to have without me having to purchase several other models first, I don't need or want your vehicle. You are too stuck up on yourself. Ford, the same goes for you. If you expect me (many potential customers and car enthusiasts) to fill out an application to be selected or rejected the ability to purchase your vehicle, goodbye. I think that there are other enthusiast car builders that want my money. I don't need to purchase your vehicle as much as you need to sell it.
The problem is. Most mustang owners are 17 year old children. So I can understand why u wouldn't get priority because it wouldn't make a difference
lol gtd is not a mustang lol , all were look at now is buying artwork from Ford period . It’s not HP since when ever Ford comes out with a new model it’s never enough shit need more gotta have mods just make 5000 HP lol, people won’t drive theses much , investment, such crap so stop making mustangs period
