Greatest performance ever recorded!!! This truly is the stuff that "makes life worth living"!!! I'm NOT kidding! I don't care if "No One Else Agrees". I'll take THAT ONE to my grave!
Wow. They still got it . I remember a concert in my town . The curtains open and the stage was magic. Like being onboard a ship. I’ll never forget it. It was a great night. 🙏💜🙏💜🙏💜
I love this song. I'm so glad I bumped into this live version. I was quietly playing it on my guitar and thought "there must be a video!" . I bought a 12 inch single back in the 80s and just played the life out of it.
I was in Auckland when the Fin brothers played this at the Domain for the late Sir Peter Blake's memorial service. Loved my time in NZ and love their music. Also love what Blakey did for sailing in NZ and putting the Kiwi sailing on the international sailing map. Legends the lot!
Hell yah, you got it. I was listening to them right after high school in 1975 when I became a huge fan. The brothers Neil and Tim Finn produced so much genius music with Split Enz, and then went off on separate and solo careers for a while, but continued to collaborate. I got to see Neil Finn's spinoff group, Crowded House ("Don't Dream It's Over") live in 1990, when half way through the set, Tim Finn came out and reconstituted Split Enz for the rest of the set. The crowd went nuts with many attendees holding up album covers of Split Enz records. It was like a reunion of Lennon and McCartney. It is one of my top 5 concert memories in my life. Plus, their videos were awesome for the MTV era.
Brilliant. In my top 5 songs of all time. It's weird, every time I hear this tune I think of the Wiggles Great piano playing, classic tune ENZ music will live forever!
Peter G you have no idea. Who wrote the melody? The words the voices the harmonies are what is special and Noel Crombie costumes and design of stages. The songs arranged and produced the, selves did they. He played keyboards. Wrote nothing and did back up vocals. If he was so great what has he done outside the band? Nothing. Possibly the most ignorant and stupidest thing ever written about the band
@@suemich2319 Eddie Rayner was never a member of Crowded House but Tim was though. Tim later joined Crowded House after Split Enz broke up. Paul Hester joined Split Enz just as they were breaking up the band. Because I know because I followed and I listened to both Split Enz and Crowded House live in concerts and bands members interviews etc. In 2006 it was announced that Split Enz were reuniting with a full 2006 concert live at the MSG in Melbourne Australia. And again in 2009 Split Enz performed live at the Sound Relief concert at the MSG in Melbourne Australia hosted by music band The Midnight Oil. 2009 was the very last time Split Enz performed live concerts. Lead singer of Split Enz Tim Finn Neil's elder brother was asked about any future Split Enz reunions and he said no not likely. So at the moment it's just Crowded House. Who recently reunited while Neil Finn is with Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac decided to disband after the death of their keyboard player and vocalist Christine McVie. And Mick Fleetwood who originally founded Fleetwood Mac has been in the hospital getting surgery done after he fell on stage. Neil Finn joined Fleetwood Mac after Lindsay Buckingham was let go after it came out that he was violently abusive towards ex wife and Fleetwood Mac lead vocal singer Stevie Nicks. Which was true. Then came Christine McVie's sudden death resulting in Fleetwood Mac's decision to disband because the group would never be the same without their keyboard player and lead vocal singer Christine McVie. So Neil Finn decided to reunite Crowded House and no Tim is not part of the Crowded House reunion. But instead Neil's sons Liam and Elroy Finn have joined the new Crowded House line up with their father Neil Finn and Nick Seymour. So after this live concert Split Enz never reunited after this concert. And Tim Finn said there would be no future Split Enz reunions even though he'd like that very much but a talk with other Split Enz band members: Eddie Rayner(keyboard) Nigel Griggs(bass guitar) Michael Barker(drums and percussion) Noel Crombie(drums and percussion) Tim Finn(lead singer and guitar player) Neil Finn(lead singer and guitar player). Phil Judd,Mike Chunn and Malcolm Green left Split Enz. Paul Hester(may Hessie rest in peace bless his resting heart and soul for the drumming he gave to Split Enz song I Walk Away and Crowded House) joined Split Enz just as they were breaking up. But sadly Paul Hester killed himself before getting the chance to rejoin Crowded House in their latest reunion. This was their very last live concert. They broke up again after that.
Yes they do sound awesome,i had the J 45,would prefer the Hummingbird, sold it to fund a Les Paul Epipone Pro two and Joe Bonamassa was right. Now i wait for the fender twin, the little fender tweed amp i have is perfect for now, Rock on
Очень классная группа. Музыка неподражаема, на стыке арт, классик рока и новой волны. Альбом 82 года, откуда эта замечательная композициях, пожалуй лучший.
Eddie Raynor is one of the all time great R+R keyboard players.
Get this band in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame PLEASE?!!!
Why? Its irrelevant surely. Its like the Nobel prize for music. Meaningless.
They’re not in it, but some shit bands are. Why?
Greatest performance ever recorded!!!

Aotearoa .. rugged individuals - glistening like a pearl at the bottom of the world . . .
Tim Finn still has great hair!
Brilliant. In my top 5 songs of all time.
Among the small handful of New Zealand's finest sons.
This is one of the very best songs to see live, along with Crowded House doing 'When you come' - that song is absolutely amazing live
Unforgettable song. Thanks, boys.
My no. 1 band in the whole world... ✨🌎✨
This is just beautiful. One of my favorites by the band. Thanks for posting such high-quality image and sound.

So love this song too...one of my all time favs.. thanks guys..
The Finns may have written most of their songs, but Rayner gave them their sound. They wouldn't be half the band without him.

Beautiful to hear this performance - and wow, their keyboard player is quite something.
Eddie Raynor, one of my favorites always.
