Was born in 1975, so I was old enough to remember all of this. Girls wearing ugly clothes was a thing. There was a sort of one foot in Madonna-land and one foot in alternative rock look. You see a little bit of this in a number of movies of the day. Pretty in Pink seemed to put an exclamation mark on it and the soundtrack was exactly what you thought of when you saw this look.

Me too born in 75. I remember the same . I wore the Madonna lace style gloves to my 5th grade class one day they were hot pink and my teacher made me take them off and give to her til the end of the day 🤦🏼♀️

No, we’re 12 and a 1/2. You go to work dressed like Ducky if it’s so great. I’ll stick to my tshirts. The other guy wears the hat so you can beat him up all you like.

Enjoyed this review. You should consider doing Some Kind Of Wonderful which is another John Hughes (written) movie. It's an underrated movie and is probably better than Pretty In Pink even if it gets compared to being a rehash of Pretty In Pink. Plus the main characters are all likeable (except for Hardy who is the rich character).

Molly Ringwald’s female friend in the film died shortly before the film premiered, no one knows how she died
Yikes…was it on set or before it got that far into production?
@@KisstheReviews it was after they filmed the movie/before it premiered, she died in her apartment, her death certificate says she died from complications from asthma, but a lot of people are suspicious about if that is actually the cause of death, she was 23, R.I.P.

😂Green is the only album from the 80s I’d consider in the same league as 90s REM and that was released in 88. They hit their highs in the early to mid 90s. Thanks for commenting!!
@@KisstheReviews Radio Free Europe was a big indie hit. That came out in 1983. You are referring to big commercial hits. Well The Smiths were never a big commercial band in America, but there is still a poster of them shown in this movie.
We never said they were an anonymous bar band but it’s all good man. I’m not going to get into a semantic argument over the popularity of REM in America from 83-84. They were totally a “thing” and you are absolutely correct.

In the end Duckie got a better trade off he got a hotter girl in Buffy & Molly dissed Jon in real life I was bothered that Andy didn't go for Duckie at the end but learning more now they would've been better off not being together. Because Andy probably would've ended up cheating on Duckie & who's to say she & Blane have a happily ever after after the movie? They probably don't they end up going their separate ways when they go off to college.
Totally agree! They would have been a horrible couple. Can you imagine Andy having to explain to her next bf that she lost her V card to a guy named Duckie? 😂

It's called The Nutcracker fantasy it's like a stop animation & the voice actors are Christopher Lee, Melissa Gilbert, Dick Van Patten, Eva Gabor, & Roddy McDowell. This movie is very dear to my heart but it's up to you guys if you don't want to review them that's perfectly fine no hard feelings here.
