@Abi V Well I'm honestly not sure but what I make sure to do is drink plenty of water, wash my hands before washing my face and wash my face thoroughly, that's pretty much my method for a little break out I hope this helps a little, as for the carbs I'm not sure because I really do be eating hella, like pasta and shit lol.
@Abi V And my hemoroides dissapeared as well, I am 28 years old and had them ever since I knew my self, and also did my father and my grand father. I thought it was my gentic fate, but it wasn't, all doctors told me it's not life threatening and gave me different types of cream and pastes to reduce the symptoms. I almost cried in happiness when one day I was finishing off in the toilets and I was like "what the fuck where did it go?". About the refined carbs, just try to stay away from the sweets, refined suggar is the enemy, look up the list of ingredients, make sure you never buy stuff that has suggar (or simmilars like caramel or maple/corn syrup) in the first 3 ingredientes, and try to aim at 5th ingredient or higher. If you have the disciplne, let go of it altogether. Rice is the second on the list, so try to move to brown rice if you can, I personally can not. But I try to mix up some brown rice while reducing my white rice.
I started a vegan diet a week ago and I can finally BREATHE! I didn’t realize the dairy I was eating caused my nasal congestion. My face was always swollen and couldn’t breathe through my nose. All those problems are completely gone. I have so much energy now 😱
My husband and I are both allergic to dairy as well, so I completely understand!! We both gave up dairy before becoming full vegan and I think it made the transition easier lol. It's amazing what food does to our bodies!!
I’ve never been able to run on a treadmill for more than 5 minutes without feeling like I couldn’t breathe due to all the congestion as well. Yesterday was the first day I ran on a treadmill after 2 months of eating plant-based and I ran for 20 minutes straight without feeling like my throat and nose weren’t allowing air to come through. I feel you! 🙌🏼
What i've learned in 3 years as a vegan: - make sure to eat a BIG VARIETY OF DIFFERENT FOODS - Try to get protein from beans, lentils, peas etc and not only soy - drink enough water - exercise regularly - try to eat only a small amount of processed food (most things can be home made easily, such as plantmilk or seitan) - get your fats in (variety of nuts, avocado, seeds) - make sure you eat ENOUGH CALORIES!! undereating can lead to a skinny-fat physique and tiredness. - eat intuitively Good luck💪🐤💕🍃
Be careful with recommending everyone to purposely add fats to their diet, even the good ones. Conditions like insulin resistance (which causes polycystic ovary syndrome, diabetes, etc) are caused by fat accumulation in muscles (intramyocellular lipids), others are also promoted by fats like some heart conditions. Dr Esselstyn explains this very well.
@@Earth-ft4vu uuuuuff.. This story is a little bit hard to believe. However, if it would be true, it's only the story of one person. There are a lot of studies showing that plant-based diets are healthy. And did you know that the American and British health organizations say that a well-planned vegan diet is healthy in every state of life? So that also includes childhood and pregnancy. And they base their suggestions on scientific studies. I don't say that you can't get ill on a plant-based diet. But you can also get ill on an omnivore diet. Moreover, in your video, it sounds that you will probably get ill in the long term. And that's simply not true. I can imagine why you turned off the comment section..
@@moedideldoe1399 Its not just one person, many that choose the carnivore diet are ex vegans. And it would make sense that omnivore diet is the best as its least restrictive.
Watched Earthlings today... made a decision to never eat dead flesh again. I know to much to be ignorant at the animal cruelty involved in the food industry. Day 1 of my vegan transition, wish me luck
Vegan for 4 months - lost 10kgs (now normal bmi), cleared up pimples and severe eczema, loads of energy, feel fantastic, haven't been sick at all or had a migraine, periods are much lighter and less painful (I have endometriosis), super regular bowel..... the benefits just go on and on. And all this happened eating like a queen! Yum yum!
Liz I'm going to have my son go vegan again, see if his eczema clears up some more! He doesn't eat dairy or eggs (allergic) but does eat meat, I think I'll cut it out and see if it helps.
Lydia Hill It clears up a thousand things! Mind, body, and spirit. Plus long term he will not have heart disease, diabetes and alzheimers looming over his head. #smartmommy
FINALLLY! a vegan youtuber who promotes their veganism with evidence based on clinical studies and information from sources written by credible authors, instead of vegan "certified health coaches" making radical changes to their diet based on their feelings
Vegan for 14 years :) Went vegan when I was 19, now I`m 33. People always envy my figure and "that I can eat whatever and as much as I want". I went vegan for the animals and not having to worry about my health and figure is just a plus on the side. Going vegan was (and I think always will be) the best decision of my life!
been vegan for a week. i thought id be craving old food i liked like chicken and cheese but even smelling it makes me nauseous now lol. hopefully the rest of my journey is smooth
Christen Gardner I hate all of Trader Joe’s baked goods. But I love Trader Joe’s. I finally got their everything but the bagel seasoning and it take avocado toast to the next level for sure!!!
Birmingham City- Midland's Greatest Beans, grains, nuts, avocados and mixing vegetables can create complete protein. List are on the web. Sun chokes, also know as Jerusalem artichokes are complete protein. Look up Dr. Axe on youtube.
Wait what?! Your PCOS completely went away? I'm so elated to hear that. I have PCOS as well, and I've been dying to find a way to cure it. I didn't think that switching to vegan would fully remove it. Wow. Thanks.
Okat that's weird. Because of this video i went vegan and it has been 3 days and my FACIAL RED AND SCALY SKIN HAS COMPLETELY HEALED (facial seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis) Also I have been super happy and calm for the last 3 days, no more anger, suicidal depression and panic attacks. My parents are happy as hell for me. We are talking normally again, This changed my life.
kokal kokala This is bullshit. You’re telling me that after 3 days this has happened. That means before you were a vegan you never went 3 days without meat, or you would have noticed a change. It’s all a placebo
Your skin problems are a very common sign of lactose intolerance so cutting out dairy is what healed your skin! :) 2/3 Americans are lactose intolerant.
jetaime dubois my dad keeps eating meat because he believes he has to taper off of it first instead of going cold turkey. It’s been 6 months now and I think he simply doesn’t believe being vegan will help. My mom is the same. I’ve explained the details clearly and even made them watch “what the health”. The scariest part is that my dad is a diabetic, has high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. I hate that I’m not an authoritative figure. In their eyes, I’m still just a little kid who knows nothing. I can only pray.
January 6, 2018 will mark my one year Vegan anniversary! Have never felt better in my life. Went from having high cholesterol with risk of needing an artery bypass surgery at 200lb to 135lbs with barely any cholesterol & being the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. All achieved with eating plant based & exercising every day! I’ve never been happier than I am now! I wish I would have become Vegan sooner but I’m glad to have finally opened my eyes along with my mind. Best decision I’ve ever made!🌱💕
"Beans beans the magical fruit, the more you eat the more you toot, the more you toot the better you feel, so eat your beans at every meal." :) Thank you for your videos. I recently went vegan and I'm just trying to gather as much information that I can. Your videos are very helpful! :-)
I started veganism a couple of weeks ago and farted when I sneezed at dmv. I think the whole building heard me. I tried not to flinch so that I could pretend it didn’t happen but it was kind violent 🥴 I don’t think it smelled tho bc I’ve been taking blackseed oil. Still felt sorry for the person behind me 🤷🏽♀️
@Bartender Plus yeah obviously, that's why i will die for eating beans after years of consuming them, can't wait to eating meat again and die of obesity, or heart diseases!
I started being a vegan on 3rd January 2020, not because of a sudden love for animals but I have cardiovascular disease and had my first heart attack and stent at 36yo, 2 more stents since then, I am now 54. I struggled with weight loss since then but since moving to this diet, it hasn't been an issue, it comes off even without exercise. My blood pressure changed from 158/120 to 107/67 in the first week and medication strength halved in that time. To think food is the reason for all these problems still amazes me. Thanks for the positive motivation to continue Mic!!!
Just had results from blood tests and Doctor after 20 weeks of this diet; Blood Pressure Normal, Cholesterol Normal @ 3.8, medication strengths reduced, may as well keep at it :-)
I recently went vegan after I was hospitalized four times for a fatty liver & gallstones this was back in January 4, 2017 I was weighing around 200lbs.... It's now February I'm down too 183lbs :D which is pretty freaking exciting. I can honestly say going vegan was the best decision of my life.
Every baby steps taken to a lifetime Vegan diet endeavour should have been the Bulls Eye target of public heath promotional activity . Thanxs now caring for patients is much more fulfilling when seeing them get better and improve their overall health
G Mendez anyone can lose weight with proper dieting and exercise in a short amount of time, I was 180 about 5 months ago and now I'm 156. Just ate less meat, but exercised a ton, sound like you had a placebo effect that made you think it was all thanks to the diet
I became a vegan ( whole food plant based) because I was stricken with severe eczema. Not only did this diet heal me completely, I lost 17 pounds and also lost my allergies as well. I'm 60 years old, and this is the first time I've ever been at my ideal weight. I've maintained this for 3 years now, and the boon is, I eat as much as I want!
My husband and I both went vegan on November 11. We've both lost weight, we feel amazing, have more energy, and my depression has gotten much better. Going vegan is one of the best decisions we've ever made!!
Veganism is so stupid. All his "data" and "research" is bs. At 1:25 he talks about how "eating a sausage and egg muffin" shows inflammation. How are you going to include the fucking bread alongside with meat to say that meat is inflammatory? HUH? Srsly. Thats like saying to someone with cancer, "oh what? You smoke but also eat meat. The meat was the cause of cancer." Also, good luck getting your *natural* Vitamin B12 cos you sure cant from plants Dont be stupid, take my advice. Go on keto.
No I went straight from eating meat to veganism. Being a vegetarian is no better, because the egg and dairy industry is a LOT worse and more brutal than the actual meat industry. So going vegetarian is not a shift for the "better", it's actually making it worse. And it doesn't even prepare your body for the life as a vegan. You'll only feel worse and miss meat even more than before and think all the time, that you can't stop eating that freaking cheese (I've been there and failed after 2 months). Vegetarianism is huge trap, just go straight vegan! ;)
JIMINS BUTTHOLE STINKS Well it worked for you, but not for me. I couldn't handle the moral contradictory. But what are you waiting for? Why not go cruelty free and healthier?
I am borderline obese. After bloating for the first two months of going vegan, I've shrunk and lost 1.1kg in two weeks, no exercise, just cronometering my meals. One vegan restaurant binge day bec I traveled 2hrs for it! My waist circumference remained the same, but my usually lymph-filled massive legs are tighter. It felt so different being able to feel muscle after skin and not bumpy, wobbly, lymph. My body fat % dropped 5%, my bp is 105/53 and hr 75. My depression and anxiety is less... deep? I find it easier to crawl out of. Now on month 4 and I'm slowly starting to add exercise back into the mix as I feel my body has adjusted to it's fuel source. Let me just say, dancing with knees that don't feel numb and painful at the same time is dope. Have I mentioned my lymph has calmed down?! That's probably the 1kg I've flushed out!
I've been vegan going on two weeks already lost five lbs and I feel great. More energy and no stress compared to keto always worrying about the hormones in meat and crazy calorie counting. This is definitely a life changing experience I plan to keep
I don't think that's what I said, no. I don't torture birds or rodents unnecessarily, solely for my personal pleasure. I'm against unnecessary torture and suffering of conscious creatures, that's all. I fail to see the relevance of your examples, still sounds like a cry for help to me. Good luck!
Pre Vegan; heart palpitations leading to a heart attack aged 30, high cholesterol and blood pressure, type 2 diabetic, IBS, PCOS, severe headaches, rapid mental health cycling, cystic acne & Rosacea... Post 1 year Vegan; no heart palpitations, low to normal cholesterol and blood pressure levels, normal blood sugar with no diabetes symptoms, no IBS, little to none PCOS symptoms, only ever had headache when dehydrated, mental health is clearer and more stable, no cystic acne and Rosacea has improved dramatically The only major issue I still have is my weight, but that is something I have struggled with my entire life. I have leaks and troughs but am getting there slowly. I also developed a B12 deficiency so remember to supplement peeps!
Amazing! Well done! Good luck with the weight! I was finding HIIT sprints very effective at shifting body fat, before I started working as a cycle courier, and now I am trying not to lose too much weight!
TheKittyTrix Water is the only thing I drink, and I drink a lot (about 4 litres a day) and eat a whole food diet, as well as low-FODMAP most of the time. I do yoga in the mornings, but nothing intense.
Hi veganbuddies, this is my first day of living the vegan lifestyle. I became a vegetarian a few months ago, but i decided to become vegan. For sooo many reasons. I just finished my first day and i am very curious to how my body will react to this. I have been eating unhealthy for such a long time.. my body deserves good healthy food. Anyone else on their vegan journey, good luck!
This is definitely extremely helpful for me with gaining knowledge on veganism. Because of this video, I am 100% sure that becoming vegan is something I want to introduce in my life.
I have been on a vegan diet for 2 months now. Never had gas issues and I actually went from 95kg to 75kg which is my ideal weight... Best decision of my life, feels good to be alive baby.

I have not eaten meat for 5 months but still occasionally have cheese and yogurt. I know there are non dairy alternatives but I haven't been able to find any I like. I've made progress. Small, but even that is still something! I eat a lot of roasted veggies and I love them with quinoa! I also make chili with quinoa instead of meat. For me, cooking and being able to make meals that are tasty make it easy to not eat meat.
That’s merely a placebo, honesty you should just enjoy life and eat whatever you think tastes good. I enjoy a nice burger every week that I make out of fresh ground beef
Jennifer McEneany try replacements! I have vegan butter, vegan sour cream, vegan mayo, ranch, cheese slices! I also use soy milk and almond milk vanilla sweetened 😋
The problem with "vegan butters" is that many of those are also highly processed, they contain various kinds of oil, including cornola oil. Oil = pure fat in liquid form, which has been shown to clog arteries. What we need is a plant based butter that is made without oil.
@Mike K oil is fine moderation. Just like eating dairy butter in moderation probably won’t clog your arteries. If you want a healthy butter you’d have to make it homemade.
Yesterday, I started my journey to become a vegan. I'm taking baby steps to achieve it. I have stopped eating all meats except for eggs and fish but eventually, I will remove any diary products and all meats . Today, my parents thought I was crazy for doing this and said that I was going to be skinny and I won't see any muscle gains from lifting. This honestly irritated me so much ( I eat about 200 grams of protein). Now, I'm trying to find a new support system than can actually help me achieve this new goal. I'm subscribing to TH-cam channels that promote veganism. The Journey has just begun!
You don't need a support group to eat food. If you experience any health problems due to being vegan, then eat meat, but be prepared to be ex-communicated from the cult as all the others have been.
I'm pretty young, but I've chosen to be vegan. My family actually wasn't sure at first but now are fine with it. Many people where surprised because I went totally vegan overnight. I love being veagan and it was very easy for me to change. I consider myself lucky because it was so easy for me and I actually care about staying vegan now
Good on you! You are a great person! Keep it up, forever! Remember! Remember to buy a vegan b12,,, if you dont get b12 for many years it can result in paralysis! buy a supplement. its like 12 bucks!
uh huh uh huh if u need a partner to stay vegan i do too, add me on I G dreamer__j its a picture of danny devito or add me on FB Scdas Ssa its no pictutr
First off, im not a doctor, i think im a healthy guy but do your own research. Almost all plant based milks are fortified with b12 you just have to look :) If you want nutritional information if you search in your youtube browser nutritionfacts.org (whatever you want here) ... hes a doctor i really seem to trust, u may to but thats up to you, he analyzes numerous studies and is, the mannn... check it out!
Memona Rehman because majority of the vegans that the general population encounters are extremists and protest which causes those including vegans are hindered by for even getting to work. Sorry but I’ve met 1 of 20 vegans who don’t push thoughts upon others.
I think the vast majority of non vegans don't even care whether one is vegan or not. So stop playing the victim here, most people I've met have zero problem with it just because some idiots do it doesn't give you the right to generaliza things like that. In fact, I would say vegans in general are more prejudicial towards non vegans than the contrary, as some I've met tend to think they are better people than others, which is incredibly arrogant (although again that is also a minority, most people vegan or non vegan)
I've come to the conclusion that it's because it's a societal norm to eat animals and by products (dairy, eggs etc.) and its considered normal. So for non vegans, they don't like us being different and breaking the rules of society and to not be a sheep and follow the herd
@@CMAV8202 no man, I think it's more about the arrogance. I mean, you just called the "rest" of society a bunch sheeps, meaning it's pretty clear you consider yourself morally superior to others because you are vegan. If you think you are a better person than others because you are vegan, that's the kind of arrogant behavior that makes non vegans in general keep their distance; I mean that level of ego is dangerous
I haven’t eat meat in 13 days. I have been suffering for years of lower back pain. This pain is vanishing and I am not taking pills for the pain. It’s amazing. I don’t know if this is related to the change of diet, but I won’t eat meat again in a long long time.
Mauricio Neri same here!! 14 days. not to get too graphic but i also had a runny nose for 3 days. felt like i had a cold but i didnt. i had back pain and now i dont.
My husband used to have horrid back pain. He'd even throw his back out sometimes doing the most simple tasks!! Ever since we went gluten free and vegan, his back pain is non existent. He does better at work too. He's got more energy than any of the other men he works with.
Went vegan 3 1/2 years ago and the health benefits just keep coming! We lost weight, our cholesterol and blood pressures fell, sleep better..better everything. I just found your channel today from the interview you did with Chris at Plant Chompers. I'm excited to look at your content. This video is awesome!
Bartender Plus If we weren’t able to eat plant based food,we would all be dead due to our highly acidic bodies and the rest would die of heart attacks, diabetes and cancer.
could you kindly direct me to these new studies? I agree, nothing to worry about until you have it, now that magically cant pop out of nowhere ? unless it was somehow injected in us at birth.
update: 2 months in never felt such a weight off of my shoulders! feels great going to sleep every night with a clear mind knowin im not murdering innocent beings!

I was 215 pounds, have had major surgeries on my knee and foot. I needed to lose weight to take pressure off my joints. Initially went vegetarian 6 months ago, went vegan last month. I’ve lost close to 50 pounds on a healthier diet and minimal exercise. Mentally I feel much better, no more guilt about what we consume. Without videos like yours or Earthling Ed I don’t know if I would’ve ever changed my diet. Thank you for your work, it’s not in vain and changes are happening.

kcuf7 yes the normal response from a vegan, has not an answer to reality so "fuck you" response is applied... malnutrition is usually the cause of cognitive breakdown.
The age at which a person transitions to vegan affects your overall reaction to it. With me, I was mostly vegetarian for years but then I'd slip up and revert to eating meat because I could not adequately explain to my family why I was being in their words "so difficult". But reverting even though I refused dairy as dairy makes my joints scream in pain, on this I would not budge and as my husband would try vegan ice cream and figured it was not all bad, he conceded. After his cancer surgery, I asked him, "Doing it your way got you cancer, and if you don't change at least some of what you do, you can pretty well figure that cancer will attack another organ." (He had prostate cancer). When I cook, he eats vegan at home as I won't cook meat. I won't eat it when I am out, getting serious about it, I lost 55 lbs., all without being hungry ever. But I did have such frequent BMs that getting sore was an issue. This lasted for about 2 weeks and had I taken pro and prebiotics, would have lasted less time. Now I make it a habit to eat fermented foods like sauerkraut 2 or more times a week. No more problems except from beans. What I have noticed that when I eat cooked pintos and rice at the same meal, I do not have gas, before it was embarrassing to say the least. But I was determined. My friends all tell me how much better and younger I look and how much nicer my skin is. My husband had lost 45 lbs. (so he says) but whereas I went from a size 18 to a size 8 to 10 in ladies' jeans, he is still wearing most of his old pants. But I was like 65 lbs to 70 lbs. overweight and he was like a 100+ lbs. overweight. But it is when we eat out that he will not behave himself and he has really stalled his weight loss if he is losing at all. All I can say is that when you do the research for one's self instead of being nagged into it, you get better results. If I died tomorrow, our kids could expect their father to eat himself to death within 3 months. I believe in doing this for my health as at my same age, my mother and sister were dying of breast cancer and my father and grandmother where getting Alzheimer's disease. Gee, eating Vegan isn't bad and I am not forgetful to the extent that is anymore than other people I have known. My blood glucose A1C is 51, my BP is 104/66, my cholesterol is down within normal range, actually the low normal now. If you "own" your veganism, you will get the best results, you will be able to figure out how to order at restaurants and what you can eat and not feel tempted. You just have to know that you don't have to visit your former body parts in the hospital medical waste site. And you won't live out your days in diapers and not knowing even how to write your own name. Is this not worth eating Vegan? If you think not, are you not seriously addicted and acting contrary to your own best interest? I grew a backbone past age 65 so if I can do this, anyone can.
I have had asthma for 16 years. The asthma effected me to some level all the time. I have been on a vegan diet for 2 weeks now. I now have no asthma symptoms. My digestive system is so much better. My blood sugars is coming down and I'm loosing weight. This has changed my life profoundly. My doctor asked if he could tell his other patients about me. Oh yeah and the food is great.
Me too. I had to hit my inhaler almost every night due to flare ups. Been vegan for two years and I've only had to use my inhaler 3 times.. it's such a relief I found something that can somewhat control my asthma. My doctors said it's a life-long illness, but I feel veganism can eventually eliminate my asthma
Been vegan for while. Then my family brought some veggie pizza (no meat, still dairy). I ate it, and my stomach wouldn't stop gurgling, and I felt a little sick
Whenever I accidentally eat anything nonvegan like butter(mostly butter bc in Turkey it is pretty common to use it in, say rice), my throat feels... an "aftertase"? Like harshness or even a ache somehow? Other than that I couldn't feel much of a thing bc I do mostly immediately realize it after "the aftertaste"(which is that throat thing). Also probably other reason I couldn't feel it in my stomach etc would be that I feel like shit stealing a tortured baby cow's milk and fueled with frustration...
Your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth I'm vegan and I eat a lot of beans. I had gas problems for a couple of weeks and then I adapted. Also, I soak my beans overnight before cooking them, and if by combining them with something else I get gas, I always have my handy charcoal pills.
Well there is a difference between an american meateater who eats 2 pound steaks everynight and someone who has a balanced diet of 2 times a week a piece of chicken or fish and vegies and patatoes/rice/pasta. Many people have become 90+ on a mixed diet. Vegans take it to extreme which isnt needed to be healthy. I can understand vegetariens/vegans for their moral standpoint.. but someone with a biological farm who groes fruits/vegies and slaughters a chicken on sunday.. I mean those people are just as healthy as a vegan /vegetarien or what ever the fck people wanna call themselves.
I agree with you. But veganism is not just a plant based diet. It has ethical, political, ecological sides to it. These clinical studies are important to show that a vegan diet is healthy and accessible, atesting so that you can live well without resorting to animal exploitation. The thing in veganism is: you can live without causing suffering and pain to other animals, so why don't you?
Ricardo8388 the products of the industry carry energy of torture and pain. This energy will become you until you remove it and begin to detox. This can be accomplished by switching to humanely farmed AP's and raw dairy.
Went vegan at the beginning of 2018 and never looked back. I lost 55 lbs (I also started exercising and cut out processed food and sugar, but not carbs. I do love rice, potatoes or whole grain bread) and feel like I eat more and a bigger variety of foods than ever before. :D
i am vegan now for over 2weeks, and i feel brilliant, of course a lot of gas , but i feel that my body clean itself, like a new human being, peace , thank for video 💕💯
there is actually more protein in veg than in meat, Jake, For an example in beef = 6.4 grams of protein per 100 calories, whilst broccoli carries 11.1 grams of protein per 100 calories. It really is a myth that you have to eat loads of beans to get the correct type of protein.
Elegance Belleza That’s because you’re going by calories. Meat is a very dense energy source, meaning it has a lot of calories per small area. Meat has way more protein if you look at it in pounds. One pound of beef has 117 grams of protein, broccoli has 13. People don’t eat in according to calories, they eat until they’re full. Also, if you depend on broccoli for your protein, you require a lot more. Meaning that farms have to use more water, and more fuel to move it. Meaning it’s worse for the environment as well.
Great video again Mic. Could you maybe do a video on salt? Lots of people saying that sea salt or pink Himalayan salt is okay, but I'm not so sure. Sodium is sodium, right?
Puud the Vegan Don't forget Himalayan Salt also continue variable amounts of Fluoride, which are not good for the thyroid... especially in the absence of selenium and iodine.
Weinhold Thank you for your figures. My thoughts are that since Himalayan Salt is a naturally formed substance, the fluoride content is highly variable per sample, therefore not worth fooling around with. To that end, I only brush with a fluoride toothpaste once a day, rinse thoroughly and scrape my tongue. The remainder of the time use baking soda, Xylitol and calcium. I do drink tea, so use distilled water for cooking and drinking. IMO there's no reason to take Himalayan Salt when there are plenty of safer alternatives. 🌱
Weinhold Yes... I know! Kinda crazy the world we live in... it's really a case of picking your poison. I've also read there's an anticaking substance on salt, that contains various forms of ferrocyanide. As if salt use doesn't have enough issues on its own. As for rice, thats something I avoid, unless I have no other choice... primarily when dining out or if it's served at a friend's. Thanks for your well thought out and eloquent response. 🌱
Best decision I’ve ever made! Since going vegan, I have more energy, never been sick yet, no sinus congestion, skin is much smoother, stool is regular (at least twice a day), and interestingly, I enjoy and appreciate food sooo much more. Most importantly, my mood and clarity of mind have improved significantly.
Nicole Williams please dont go Purity Police on me. how does going 2 weeks without any animal product, then he sneaks in cookies. does that fit into "Somewhat"? or does the attempt not count so fuck it right? sorry for posting.
Sorry about that my friend. People shouldn't get lost in the semantics of things -- and if anything they are entirely in the wrong to correct you seeing as you specified "vegan diet" and that your father himself isn't vegan. I'm happy to hear your father dropped weight eating predominantly vegan/plant based. Thats incredible testimony, thank you for sharing. Please excuse the level 5 vegans out there, their hearts are in the right place lol
I went vegan for a week and I had the most energy I've ever had and felt great! I fell through and have recently been trying to get back on the diet. I'm having troubles but it is definitely something I want to happen and I want it to be lifelong. I want to feel great again.
forks over knives got me to go plant based, Mic. the Vegan converted me to a vegan! Thank you for lifting my meat blindness, becoming a vegan has made me a more compassionate person. I CURED my anxiety, drastically reduced the severity of my ADHD and have increased my energy. I now cook a Vegan diet for me and my boyfriend, my parents are vegan 6 days week, my little cousin who is 11 became a vegan and now her parents are trying to be mostly "plant based." ****YOU are changing the world***** not only changing our individual health, but making a global difference one person at a time!!! I love this channel so much because of the scientific basis to ALL of your arguments. Your passion becomes more powerful because it is not unfounded rhetoric. You have the perfect pairing of reason and fervor.
I've been meat free for almost 2 weeks and am teaming with compassion that was so clouded for so long. Vegan last night after watching "Earthlings." This is so true.
I'm at a year and a half now of veganism. I'm no longer on ADHD meds. And now also don't take anxiety meds. Wow, I guess the placebo is still working........
Denise Hay Why do you think that a human eating meat (which it is meant to do) would ever hurt a human. In fact it needs vitamins such as B12 which are found only in meat
People can get very internally defensive of their own eating habits, I went vegan for about a year ish when I was 15 and my dad told me in all seriousness that I had joined a cult lol.
Legit content. Veteran vegan here for 10 years. Videos like this is what we need, instead of the silly drama. Content like this reflects well on a the vegan diet.
I have been vegan for 8 weeks and combined with intermittent fasting and training, have lost 8kgs and feel awesome. I did need to supplement my diet with plant derived protein to keep my strength up.
Thanks for making this outstanding and inspiring video. I'm 75 and just starting a vegan diet two days ago after watching Dr. Esselstyn videos and eating too much dairy and pasta. At my age, this diet just made me skinny fat even though I worked out consistently and rode an exercise bike daily, and consumed whey protein powder. This video has shown me more reasons to eat a plant based diet for the rest of my life. I was a lacto ovo vegetarian for 7 years in the 1970s but didn't do it right. From everything I've seen and read of late, I've no doubt a vegan diet is superior, and the food choices today are abundant compared to decades ago. I see going on a vegan diet as an opportunity for renewal and a culinary adventure.
Ten year vegan. Have to say, never been sick, actually eat MORE than the typical carnivore, eat twice amount of lean proteins than my counterparts. Not to mention, fitness is on a whole new level within that time span as I can bench 500 in my bench press max alone, not to mention other exercises!
DEANNA Weeks mostly tofu. There are actually many store and restaurant Establishments that sell "meat" alternatives that are bean and tofu friendly. I got my protein from a lot of sources from beans to peanuts, tofu to most green leaf vegetables. Minus what conventional wisdom suggests, most vegetables are high in both water-souble minerals and proteins
@DEANNA Weeks You only need 0.65g of protein per pound of LEAN bodyweight. So the vast majority of people won't need anymore than 120g of protein, unless they are like genetic giants. A cup of black beans have 40g of protein. Peanut butter have good amount of protein. Seitan have a great amount of protein, 75g for just half a cup. Lentils are half the price of meat, and have about the same amount of protein. Also, some smart TH-camrs for fitness are AthleanX, Jeff Nippard, AlphaDestiny, and Bioneer Good Luck! :)
Facts and remember if you’re looking to gain weight well-being or starting a vegan diet you can still gain weight it’s all about your calorie intake in the day
I was vegetarian for about 5 years (and vegan for bursts within that period of time). My experience was - felt great for the first few weeks, started losing body fat and feeling more awake. Then I started slimming down, losing a bit of muscle mass a few months in. Then I guess 6 months - 1 year in I still felt good but was starting to feel bloated after meals more often. Around 2 years in I started getting fat, partly because I took a sedentary job. Bloating issues gradually got worse and I started to need to sleep more. Tried to combat this with a vegan diet, eating lots of greens but I didn't see an improvement. I turned out I was intolerant to soy, which was making my stomach bloat, so I wasn't absorbing enough nutrients and was almost anemic. At this point my diet was quite limited because I'm allergic to a lot of nuts and seeds. Despite cutting out foods that were causing the problem, I wasn't feeling any better. Towards the end I needed to sleep 10-12 hours a day, I always felt full/bloated and my body composition was terrible; I was overweight and had no muscle. I didn't want to go back to eating meat because I had strong convictions about animal welfare (and still do) but eventually I just wanted to see what could make me feel healthy again. And yes I started to feel better once I started eating meat again. I think maybe my stomach has never fully recovered but maybe it's 90% better. Sometimes I think about trying a plant based diet again. I think in the end I'll try it again one day with a lot of consideration, but I have a hunch that my health won't be optimal. Ultimately you hear this kind of thing from a lot of people who quite plant based diets. I think some people's bodies disagree with it, inspite of ethical convictions.
I personally feel that a plant based diet is more optimal for someone with no allergies to soy and nuts. Perhaps you didn’t feel well on a vegan diet because of these allergies, and maybe it’s not right for you. You’ll probably never hear that coming from any other vegan, but I’d seriously consider not going back on a plant based diet if you felt this unhealthy the first time. If you feel good now and your doctors say you’re doing well, don’t change anything that could make you feel worse.
Ash B, I had similar issues. I am eating mostly plant based however, I have to eat some fish and chicken. I spoke with a dietician and she also had the same issues. Everybody is different. I think it's good to still be primarily plant based as far as lots fresh veggies and fruit. Then just add some fish or chicken or whatever your body needs to be healthy and strong. We need to encourage people to be healthy whatever that looks like on an individual basis. That is the most important part. ❤
Ellie McKinney I went through same journey and now I got to next step, which I recommend is:- Whole food plant based diet. As processed vegan foods can be unhealthy too.
Right after I went vegan, I'd been able to maintain a very aggresive caloric deficit (with all the cautions with micronutrients) because of the high-fiber whole foods and lose about 50 lbs in just 4 MONTHS. Of course I've lost a lot of muscle, but I don't care, I was feeling like shit with my previous diet. Of course it's not strictly related to turning vegan, but it's a lot EASIER to be healthy with this type of lifestyle. PD: Sorry about the grammar mistakes, it's not my main language xD
Andrew thanks for asking! My one week vegan cleanse morphed into a month and now almost month 2 and feeling very good. Lost close to 15 pounds and if I lose another 10 pounds I will be back to my college weight😊 Everything feels better...body feels super light, no more food comas, I can bascially eat as much as I want because veggies and fruits are just fiber and water and very few cals, almost zero cravings for ice cream (my nemesis) or chocolate, feel more at peace with the world and myself (unsure of that’s real or not. Lol). Never in a millions years did I think i would be vegan but here I am and loving it!
Earthling Ellis I’m now 6 months in and still going strong! Had a couple meat based meals in those 6 months just to see if I was missing something but immed back to vegan
best decision i ever made tbh....switched my diet up for 4 months now im in the best shape in my life...some people dont understand being vegan becus of their culture/religion reasons
I have experimented myself something interresting about being vegan. Just before I turned vegan (september 2015) I began to follow my heart rate at rest everyday with fitbit. I had a this heart rate (at rest) : 79 It is pretty high for the age I was (28). I'm far from obese. I was around 140 pounds (5"6) but I wasn't active at all.... and I'm still not. But! One year after being vegan I am now around 125 pounds and my heart rate drop to 69 at rest. Much better! I think, it is still a little high... I could do better, when I will be more active I guest. Another thing: I had headaches everyday fu***ng day of my life! Not anymore, once a month maybe, but I just have to drink water and 15 minutes later, I'm good to go :) Being vegan is the best choice I did in my life and I'm so proud of it. Now my sister and my boyfriend are vegan too! My uncle was vegetarian and turn vegan recently! I'm so proud of my family!
Stephanie Ghali 79 is normal. normal resting heart rate is 60- 100 bpm. anything over 100 consistently is considered tachycardia. great that your bp and weight went down. it's nice to see that there are changes for you though. I wish the dietician and docs would put my patients onba plant based diet. it makes me 😢 and angry when they load them up with bp and cholesterol meds but still feed them a SAD smh.
I haven't been sick in three years, which is how long I've been vegan. I used to get sick often (2-3 times a year). And then I find out many other vegan have the same experience. Coincidence? I think not.
Weinhold oh no! That sucks. Maybe you picked up some nasty bug. I have no doubt vegans can still get sick from things, it's just our immune systems are stronger and we seem less susceptible to common colds, flus, and allergies and whatnot. Lack of sleep and stress lower the immune system, though. I haven't been sick yet from my travels, so I've been lucky I guess.
chapachuu I didn't get sick for about 10 years after going vegan, and then it was due to lack of sleep/rest and working graveyard shift. I find that not getting enough rest/sleep and not enough exercise will lead to me "catching" a cold or cough. I also found that throwing school/daycare kids into the mix will really tax the immune system, but I think I fare better than my non-vegan friends in that regard.
I've been vegan for over 5 years already and it's the best I've done in my life! You won't regret it! Good plant based diet, exercise, enough sleep, meditation along cold showers every day... well I don't even remember last time I was sick, not even a cold at all!
Brianna Lashay DAILY I GET ASKED IF I HAVE HAIR EXTENTIONS. lol. I tell them No. been plant vegan for a few years. On animal Protein my hair kept falling out and breaking. Now I'm 6 years vegan.
I’ve been vegan for four months now and man, I’ve lost like 56 pounds, I have a weird amount of energy and my anxiety is basically gone. I did have a weird hormonal imbalance which affected my period but that leveled out, and I had acne for awhile but that stopped too
I've eaten plantbased for years. But a couple of times I had a cup of coffee and ocassionally a slice of (not vegan) cake and I got inflammation of the joints each time, the day after. I think non vegan foods cause severe inflammation.
Just wanted to say "Thank You" for all your videos. My diet has gradually been working towards vegan for several years, and most people are skeptical or critical of this decision. It's nice to hear/see positive reinforcement & support. 💚
I LOVE this video! Thank you for saying it like it is. I have been on a vegan diet for about 2 years and have lost 54 Pounds in the process. I plan to lose another 95 pounds to get to my target weight of 200 pounds. I have documented my progress on TH-cam. Its not easy, but with leaders like you, it makes the journey easier. Thank you.
I went Vegan on June 2018 & I have never had more energy & I even lost 52lbs. I try to stay away from the processed Vegan foods because they can be high in calories.💚
Went vegan back in February and my acne has completely disappeared
My acne too!
Abi V yep refined carbs equal no good either. Try for once a week or less
@@Amy-ol3id True, only problem I have is with white rice, I just can't eat brown, doesn't feel right and I find no way to replace it =(
I tried being vegan after this video. And it's two years already

Coraline Jones Watch the truth about dairy by Doc Neal Barnard!!! Dairy solidified pus😷🤐 no dairy no skin probs👍🏻
Coraline Jones same!!
Omg goodness
My husband and I are both allergic to dairy as well, so I completely understand!! We both gave up dairy before becoming full vegan and I think it made the transition easier lol. It's amazing what food does to our bodies!!
I’ve never been able to run on a treadmill for more than 5 minutes without feeling like I couldn’t breathe due to all the congestion as well. Yesterday was the first day I ran on a treadmill after 2 months of eating plant-based and I ran for 20 minutes straight without feeling like my throat and nose weren’t allowing air to come through. I feel you! 🙌🏼
What i've learned in 3 years as a vegan:
- make sure to eat a BIG VARIETY OF DIFFERENT FOODS
- Try to get protein from beans, lentils, peas etc and not only soy
- drink enough water
- exercise regularly
- try to eat only a small amount of processed food (most things can be home made easily, such as plantmilk or seitan)
- get your fats in (variety of nuts, avocado, seeds)
- make sure you eat ENOUGH CALORIES!! undereating can lead to a skinny-fat physique and tiredness.
- eat intuitively
Good luck💪🐤💕🍃

You say eat intuitively at the end, but before that you give tips what and how to eat
@@moedideldoe1399 Its not just one person, many that choose the carnivore diet are ex vegans. And it would make sense that omnivore diet is the best as its least restrictive.

jetaime dubois my dad keeps eating meat because he believes he has to taper off of it first instead of going cold turkey.

My husband and I both went vegan on November 11. We've both lost weight, we feel amazing, have more energy, and my depression has gotten much better. Going vegan is one of the best decisions we've ever made!!
Let’s do it!
The meat was the cause of cancer."
Also, good luck getting your *natural* Vitamin B12 cos you sure cant from plants
Dont be stupid, take my advice. Go on keto.
Great stuff mate. I'm a vegan for a long time and since going vegan I have more energy and am healthy. Never going back to eating my animal friends.
Arvid Shirasb were you a vegetarian before u became a vegan?
No I went straight from eating meat to veganism. Being a vegetarian is no better, because the egg and dairy industry is a LOT worse and more brutal than the actual meat industry.
So going vegetarian is not a shift for the "better", it's actually making it worse. And it doesn't even prepare your body for the life as a vegan. You'll only feel worse and miss meat even more than before and think all the time, that you can't stop eating that freaking cheese (I've been there and failed after 2 months).
Vegetarianism is huge trap, just go straight vegan! ;)
Arvid Shirasb I've been a vegetarian for 10 years
JIMINS BUTTHOLE STINKS Well it worked for you, but not for me. I couldn't handle the moral contradictory. But what are you waiting for? Why not go cruelty free and healthier?
Right, because that automatically had to do with them eating meat. LOL!
I’m a type 1 diabetic, and I’m obese. I went vegan one month ago, and my sugars are so much easier to control now. My insulin resistance is gone.
Gotta be more effective and healthy than this "no carbs for diabetics" fad.

Hundreds of insects are killed for each plant you consume.
Another cry for help. Bacteria and viruses die too, you know. But, like the insects, that's not needless torture of conscious creatures. Good luck!
Bacteria and viruses don't have nervous systems. So you can kill a bird or rodent by using pesticides, but not a cow for eating?
I don't think that's what I said, no. I don't torture birds or rodents unnecessarily, solely for my personal pleasure. I'm against unnecessary torture and suffering of conscious creatures, that's all. I fail to see the relevance of your examples, still sounds like a cry for help to me. Good luck!
Pre Vegan; heart palpitations leading to a heart attack aged 30, high cholesterol and blood pressure, type 2 diabetic, IBS, PCOS, severe headaches, rapid mental health cycling, cystic acne & Rosacea...
Post 1 year Vegan; no heart palpitations, low to normal cholesterol and blood pressure levels, normal blood sugar with no diabetes symptoms, no IBS, little to none PCOS symptoms, only ever had headache when dehydrated, mental health is clearer and more stable, no cystic acne and Rosacea has improved dramatically
The only major issue I still have is my weight, but that is something I have struggled with my entire life. I have leaks and troughs but am getting there slowly. I also developed a B12 deficiency so remember to supplement peeps!
I went Vegan 5th June 2015
Amazing! Well done! Good luck with the weight! I was finding HIIT sprints very effective at shifting body fat, before I started working as a cycle courier, and now I am trying not to lose too much weight!
Lucky. My IBS, acne, and PCOS is the same as ever after three years being vegan. But I'm glad it worked out for you, though!
chapachuu Water, whole foods and seed cycling have been the main reason my hormones and gut have rebalanced. What kind of diet you follow?
TheKittyTrix Water is the only thing I drink, and I drink a lot (about 4 litres a day) and eat a whole food diet, as well as low-FODMAP most of the time. I do yoga in the mornings, but nothing intense.
Yay!
Happy vegan here for 23 years!
Wow... Now it's 24 years... Congrats.
Wow. I’m trying to get on your level. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Vegan AND a Frank n furter fan?? You’re awesome.
Vegan for about 2 years here! How is it going for you?
Compassionate Living i just started today. wish me luck!
@Chaotic Cottagecore good luck! 😊
Compassionate Living thank you!
Dlr how is it going?
This is definitely extremely helpful for me with gaining knowledge on veganism. Because of this video, I am 100% sure that becoming vegan is something I want to introduce in my life.
I suggest the following website for information on how to avoid pitfalls.

I have been on a vegan diet for 2 months now. Never had gas issues and I actually went from 95kg to 75kg which is my ideal weight...
Best decision of my life, feels good to be alive baby.
Awesome...it always starts well. If you notice health issues after the cleansing diet, then stop at once, and all those in here will hate you!

savydude1 ur obsessed with vegans.
I started veganism a couple of weeks ago and farted when I sneezed at dmv. I think the whole building heard me. I tried to flinch so that I could pretend it didn’t happen but it was kind violent 🥴 I don’t think it smelled tho bc I’ve been taking blackseed oil. Still felt sorry for the person behind me 🤷🏽♀️
Courtney Bryant I read that in his voice!! Lol
I'm on day 7 vegan. It's not easy, but I definitely feel better
Griffin Pearson just take your time
Griffin Pearson keep going. how longer, how easier.
I'm on day 4 and I feel you. 😭 Though it's a bit hard, I'm excited
I haven’t eaten meat in almost 4 years but dairy has been such a struggle to cut out totally.... I’m determined now- No dairy!!!
Jennifer McEneany try replacements! I have vegan butter, vegan sour cream, vegan mayo, ranch, cheese slices! I also use soy milk and almond milk vanilla sweetened 😋
Dairy’s gross.. you got this!
@Bartender Plus okay doctor bartender. Thanks for the health advice 🙂
The Journey has just begun!
hey man congradulations on going vegan, you could message me anytime if u have an instagram (dreamer__j) or facebook (Scdas Ssa)
www.nomeatathlete.com/ This is a great resource.
If you are doing it for health resons. Keeping white fish and egg in your diet is much more benefitial than overeating on rice, beens and soy.
You don't need a support group to eat food. If you experience any health problems due to being vegan, then eat meat, but be prepared to be ex-communicated from the cult as all the others have been.
@@pampararapamparam No Lucia. Fish and eggs have their own problems
Plant protein is the cleanest of proteins.
Justin ad wow, thanks for the advice :)
uh huh uh huh if u need a partner to stay vegan i do too, add me on I G dreamer__j its a picture of danny devito or add me on FB Scdas Ssa its no pictutr
Justin ad sorry to bother you anymore ,, but what's a good source of that vitamin? How should I get it,, is there any way to get it without pills?
First off, im not a doctor, i think im a healthy guy but do your own research. Almost all plant based milks are fortified with b12 you just have to look :) If you want nutritional information if you search in your youtube browser nutritionfacts.org (whatever you want here) ... hes a doctor i really seem to trust, u may to but thats up to you, he analyzes numerous studies and is, the mannn... check it out!
Yes! I just got done watching "Forks over Knives," and this is my dessert. Thanks, Mic!
Why non-vegans hate vegans so much? You can't leave us alone in peace just like you can't leave animals alone
Memona Rehman because majority of the vegans that the general population encounters are extremists and protest which causes those including vegans are hindered by for even getting to work. Sorry but I’ve met 1 of 20 vegans who don’t push thoughts upon others.
You can't leave the animals alone either; your diet is dependent on agriculture which kills millions of animals and destroys their habitats.
I have back pain. I am excited for it to stop. I’m on week one.
My husband used to have horrid back pain. He'd even throw his back out sometimes doing the most simple tasks!! Ever since we went gluten free and vegan, his back pain is non existent. He does better at work too. He's got more energy than any of the other men he works with.
I have fibromyalgia and with vegan diet it goes away but only a little meat or even little milk, cheese the pain comes back

What if I told you there is no vegan food.
There's just plant foods and animal foods.
That’s deep.
Bartender Plus If we weren’t able to eat plant based food,we would all be dead due to our highly acidic bodies and the rest would die of heart attacks, diabetes and cancer.

Vegan food is actually pretty delicious 😋
its all in the seasonings man
I totally agree! -kay
Anita Star compared to road kill I'm sure it is
PurpsOnNugs yup all your msg loaded seasonings sprinkled all over your processed pasta dishes... yay veganism
kcuf7 yes the normal response from a vegan, has not an answer to reality so "fuck you" response is applied... malnutrition is usually the cause of cognitive breakdown.
I grew a backbone past age 65 so if I can do this, anyone can.
you should do a "what i eat in a day", that would be cool!
Joocelyn Yes!
I'm pretty sure he did it once.

Glen Cole Congratulations on your vegan journey!
Eweeeee body rebelling
Whenever I eat cheese again I have those intense cramps in my belly ... I became lactose intolerant I think (I've been vegan for 3 years now )
Whenever I accidentally eat anything nonvegan like butter(mostly butter bc in Turkey it is pretty common to use it in, say rice), my throat feels... an "aftertase"? Like harshness or even a ache somehow?
Other than that I couldn't feel much of a thing bc I do mostly immediately realize it after "the aftertaste"(which is that throat thing). Also probably other reason I couldn't feel it in my stomach etc would be that I feel like shit stealing a tortured baby cow's milk and fueled with frustration...
I get that too! Stopped eating dairy after I realized that consuming it just made me feel crappy and sluggish. ❤️🌱
been vegan for a year 💪
"Beans beans.. 3% of you might fart more for a couple days, but then life will be better" ...Definitely not a playground hit 😂😂😂
That's how I remember it... :P
beans are a musical food! lol Checkout the song *Vegan Batman by Vegan Artist BJT!* it's hilarious! XD
I Am the 3%...
Your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth I looooooove your username ;)
Your joy will turn to ashes in your mouth I'm vegan and I eat a lot of beans. I had gas problems for a couple of weeks and then I adapted. Also, I soak my beans overnight before cooking them, and if by combining them with something else I get gas, I always have my handy charcoal pills.
good work, when putting benefits of veganism in perspective, it becomes very hard to find any logical arguments against it!
Meat tastes good. That's my logical argument for eating it.
Went vegan at the beginning of 2018 and never looked back. I lost 55 lbs (I also started exercising and cut out processed food and sugar, but not carbs. I do love rice, potatoes or whole grain bread) and feel like I eat more and a bigger variety of foods than ever before. :D
So, you did the standard elimination diet. lol
I always learn a lot on your channel. Thanks for helping me make the change!
I really like that leaf decoration in the background 🤣🍃

Iv Ka Tge gas is from getting rid of old undigested fecal matter. Drink organic shots of Apple cider vinegar.
TodaysRealHealth TodaysRealHealth it’s from the beans she has to eat to make up for not getting the correct type of protein
there is actually more protein in veg than in meat, Jake, For an example in beef = 6.4 grams of protein per 100 calories, whilst broccoli carries 11.1 grams of protein per 100 calories.
This was exactly the kind of video i was looking for, with all the references to medical studies. Thank you.
Great video again Mic. Could you maybe do a video on salt? Lots of people saying that sea salt or pink Himalayan salt is okay, but I'm not so sure.
Sodium is sodium, right?
Your skepticism is justified. Maybe I'll make it my next vid as I have been planning it for a while.

I started this month. I'm never feel so great like that. All the pain in my body is gone. And my boyfriend is trying also. He fells amazing.
That is good to hear
Try doing that without supplements tho
where tf did he say he was taking supps?
@DEANNA Weeks
You only need 0.65g of protein per pound of LEAN bodyweight.
Also, some smart TH-camrs for fitness are AthleanX, Jeff Nippard, AlphaDestiny, and Bioneer
Good Luck! :)
What's so fantastic about eating MORE? Just curious.
@@lunarequine7734 Agreed!!!
Everybody is different, some people's bodies just don't agree with a vegan diet, and that's okay. Wish the best for you and have a good 2020!!!
Vegetarian for 4 years, vegan for 3 years now! Since I was 12! 😊
Ellie McKinney that’s simply not as healthy as eating meat. Your diet probably consists of tons of things to substitute your lack of meat
Ellie McKinney of
Gross ... please stop malnourishing yourself.
Jake Lump saturated fat and cholesterol are horrible for you kid
More fibre. Also you should eat more protein.
I see no mistakes at all. Good for you!
I’m tryin! Day 4 of going vegan. Wish me luck!
Good luck, hows it going?
Andrew thanks for asking! My one week vegan cleanse morphed into a month and now almost month 2 and feeling very good. Lost close to 15 pounds and if I lose another 10 pounds I will be back to my college weight😊
Everything feels better...body feels super light, no more food comas, I can bascially eat as much as I want because veggies and fruits are just fiber and water and very few cals, almost zero cravings for ice cream (my nemesis) or chocolate, feel more at peace with the world and myself (unsure of that’s real or not. Lol).
Never in a millions years did I think i would be vegan but here I am and loving it!
you can do it, it's definetely worth it!
Earthling Ellis I’m now 6 months in and still going strong! Had a couple meat based meals in those 6 months just to see if I was missing something but immed back to vegan
Are you still vegan
best decision i ever made tbh....switched my diet up for 4 months now im in the best shape in my life...some people dont understand being vegan becus of their culture/religion reasons
I have experimented myself something interresting about being vegan.
Just before I turned vegan (september 2015) I began to follow my heart rate at rest everyday with fitbit.
I had a this heart rate (at rest) : 79
It is pretty high for the age I was (28).
Not anymore, once a month maybe, but I just have to drink water and 15 minutes later, I'm good to go :)
Being vegan is the best choice I did in my life and I'm so proud of it. Now my sister and my boyfriend are vegan too! My uncle was vegetarian and turn vegan recently! I'm so proud of my family!
Stephanie Ghali Congrats! I hope I have some of that happen to me when I go vegan.
Stephanie Ghali my mom turned vegan after I broke down about the animals in front of her 😂🔥
I haven't been sick in three years, which is how long I've been vegan.
I also found that throwing school/daycare kids into the mix will really tax the immune system, but I think I fare better than my non-vegan friends in that regard.
chapachuu it's been just over a year and I haven't either! Yay veganism!
Same. I got a flu shot because I "needed" one to volunteer at the hospital. First time I felt sick in years.
Adam S Levison same!
Science based, evidence based information, well done :)
Bartender Plus i- it's literally clinical trials
I've been vegan for over 5 years already and it's the best I've done in my life! You won't regret it! Good plant based diet, exercise, enough sleep, meditation along cold showers every day... well I don't even remember last time I was sick, not even a cold at all!
Who wants to start the journey of veganism into the 2021 year with me?

I loved this video! I was so excited so see the minor changes that have already taken place!! Can't wait to hit the one month mark!
Brianna Lashay DAILY I GET ASKED IF I HAVE HAIR EXTENTIONS. lol. I tell them No. been plant vegan for a few years. On animal
Protein my hair kept falling out and breaking. Now I'm 6 years vegan.
Do research before making a life change. Vegans are less healthy than people who eat animals
jake have you watched the video? lol
Vegan for 14 years now, healthy and loving it.
Black Beans will most likely be your best friend.
Can confirm.
Agreed. Planning to buy tons more black beans 😁
You don’t get inflammation in the joints that easily unless u already have an underlying health issue! Lack of collagen and calcium.
Thank you.
