I would love to see Katie’s puzz3d collection. I have a closet full myself, including the DRAGONFLY lamp, grandfather clock, and a church that lights up with stained glass windows. The downside is the amount of space the boxes take up, some of them are huge! Puzz 3d was a staple of my childhood puzzling 💕
such sister vibes lol. We got to see a different side of karen today. we saw her up against someone that could hold up a fight against her in puzzling. was really cool to see
lmaooo karen has such a younger sister energy when shes with her sister hahah!! the lamp looks kinda wonky but it looks so cool when its on at night :O! pity that the other lamp didnt work... the dragonfly design is really lovely
Loved seeing you interact with your sister-anytime she wants to come back on your channel, I'm all for it. And major kudos to your parents for encouraging creativity and interests that maybe aren't mainstream. Growing up in your household seems like it was an adventure!
@Jason Badass...how about Challenges against one another? Challenge 1 jigsaw puzzle (Karen's lane) then Challenge 2 Puzz 3D(Katie's lane). I was cracking up watching Karen's face.
Your sister is so cute and wholesome, I’d love to see her again and she’s such a natural at explaining her process! I have no choice but to Stan! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
TO BE FAIR, I was running all of the cameras while she got to just puzzle straight through. But I was very impressed that she kept pace and ended up winning!
@@KarenPuzzles lol well Katie paused a lot to answer your questions. So she probably just finished faster because she is more familiar to 3D puzzles more then you.
This was really fun to watch because I was into these 3D puzzles as a kid and I had this exact puzzle. It was my favorite. I also had the Titanic, which was challenging to assemble into 3D form. We got them from Goodwill so occasionally there were one or two missing pieces.
29:22 I love how Karen builds the dragonfly part flat on the table and stand it up in the end, while Katie builds hers in 3D form. Explains a lot! And I absolutely hope to see Katie on this channel again some day!
This tickles me because today is litha/summer solstice and a common way to celebrate is to light candles or bring out more light to honor the gift of the sunlight. So a lamp is so fitting hehe
Karen watching You and Katie assemble the 3D “DRAGONFLY” lamp puzzle was so fun!!! I would love to see Katie’s 3D puzzle collection and the Boxcar in the backyard 🥰🥰🥰
I found this video really interesting. As a bit of a math nerd myself, I’m really glad you guys included the flat sheet portion. It was really neat to see how they designed the dome by flattening it out, but also they clearly optimized to not have wasted foam. I loved the way the triangle pieces for the top of the dome appeared randomly between the circles for the base. Also, you could see how the red dot pieces have the same “teeth” on both sides, but the angle is slightly different to facilitate the curve of the dome. My sister was always a huge fan of dragonflies, and my mom once made a lamp in this style as a glass mosaic, with the help of my step dad who did the ironwork. Loved the video, loved the puzzle, loved the lamp!
I agree with Katie's reason for liking 3D puzzles. I did some woodworking and carpentry for a few years and love building things. I am a 77 year old woman and find I have to leave the 2x4s and saws and work with lighter materials that still take skill to build. I definitely want to get into 3D after I get more experience solving regular puzzles,
I would love to see Katie’s 3D puzzle collection. I tried the Frozen castle 3D puzzle during quarantine and it was difficult and to big to put anywhere in my apartment, so I am sticking to flat puzzles. Have a great summer 🐝
This is so heartwarming to see you and your sister do 3D puzzles! Me and my brother do the same but with 2D puzzles. We also both watch your videos together too!! 😄🧩
Thank you for doing a Puzz3D. I do not enjoy doing regular puzzles, but about 7 years ago I got a 1000 piece cathedral Puzz3D from a garage sale on a whim. I fell in love with it and finished it in 2 days. I would love seeing Kates collection.
I have never tryed a 3d puzzle. I was standing infront of one, as the 3D puzzles of the Harry potter Express came out, but i haven't bought it. I was Kind of surprised that there is someone, who is able to "beat" Karen, but since it is the older sister, it seems to be genetic. The lamp was really beautiful by night, and like other says, i liked especially the dragonflys of this lamp. I hope for more sister vs sister challenges. Or maybe you two challenge against another couple. Since bouth of you have an own style of puzzling, see you working on same puzzle might be interesting. Like "family puzzeling" :D
One of my favorite book series as a child was The Boxcar Children and I know this was just a small part of the video, but seeing that caboose in your backyard just made 7 year old me SO JEALOUS omg
Dragonfly! Love this! That caboose you made is about the coolest thing I've ever seen. It reminds me of the custom Ticket to Ride board game I made for my girlfriend/wife. Your last couple "family edition" videos have been awesome. I can't wait to find out what your mom's hobby is. Has anyone ever said your sister looks a little bit like Mona Lisa? I'd love to see a Puzz3D collection! Keep up the good work.
I've been on a little binge of your channel! I grew up doing a ton of puzzles, especially when I'm stressed and I fell back into it when my grandmother was in the hospital with covid and I just had to distract myself somehow. You inspired me to dig my old puzzles out and solve all of them, so thank you for creating a communion of puzzle nerds!
This was such an entertaining video. I enjoyed watching you two interact. I hope she comes back again as a guest. Katie's prowess with spreadsheets and statistics is impressive. I wouldn't mind a video tour of her puzzle spreadsheets in the future. She is so articulate. Dragonfly.
With the lights on, the dragonfly was the only thing I liked about the puzzle....but with the lights off it was legitimately cool! (love seeing the sisters energy!!)
This makes me wish that my sister and I were closer. We don’t have a hobby or anything that we can share or do. We used to watch the shows all the time together but we both joined the service and life has been different but it would be awesome if we could share a hobby again. We used to play games so perhaps maybe we can do that now with all the new games like mario party and golf :)
I haven't done a puzzle in a long time, but I have fond memories of my grandmother doing puzzles on her livingroom table. It was covered with cardboard and the tablecloth when not actively being worked on. You knew it was Puzzle Time when someone lifted a corner of that tablecloth! That 3D caboose is an impressive gift!
Oh my gosh, that handmade caboose 3D puzzle is amazing! I'm so impressed that you handmade this and at how thoughtful of a gift this was. :) I'm also impressed that you guys have a caboose in your yard - how cool!
Hi, up until now I've been watching old videos of yours. This is the newest one I've seen. You've inspired me to move on from boring scenery 500 Piece puzzles to bigger and more interesting ones. Thanks for what you do. X
It's funny, I would have never said you seemed like a younger sister until this video (especially the hat part😂). I now wonder if I look like a younger sibling when my brother is around...
Dragonfly! And yeessss, I LOVE Puzz3D. if I wasnt working on 2d jigsaws then it was Puzz3D all day! My favorite ones were the skatepark halfpipe I build with my dad and he gave me enough confidence to build the notre dame one and it was such a fun build. I miss seeing Puzz3D in stores, but I have recently put together a mini hogwarts castle in 3D and have used lego builds to get my 3D building fix haha. Awesome video
I did a Notre Dame Puzz 3D as a teenager (about 25 years ago!) but didn’t like it as much as regular puzzles so never did another. I wish you’d spent more time showing us your homemade Puzz3D and that box! Your future puzzler and future crafter were both on full display. Love those dragonflies.
I have been enjoying seeing your family! The anvil collection video really showed me what lead to your puzzle collection/ obsession, and watching you hang out with Katie was really fun. It felt like a sleepover in a weird way, but it was very comforting to watch this 🥰
I've done a few harry potter 3d puzzles, they were so much fun! And: DRAGONFLY's are my favorite insect, they are so beautiful! Nice to see your sister in this video! She did great!
More Katie please! Holy dragonfly she is cool! I have never heard of Puzz3D before, nor do I want to take up 3D puzzling as a hobby (because cats), but it's fun to watch. I have only one 3D puzzle, but it's the solid plastic kind, where you build a statue in layers of flat puzzles, like a 3D printer.
Well you two little dragonflys were a delight to watch. Thank you. I've done 3D puzzles (maybe 3 of them). The most recent was a castle that was in a beach rental that we stayed at during the pandemic. None of them were Puzz3D's however. Thanks for this adorable sister episode.
I remember my older sister (8y older) doing these when she was a teenager. We always did puzzles as a family but the 3D ones were her special ones and I wasn't allowed to touch. She kept them including this lamp on a shelf over her bed. Funnily enough my sister is also now an engineer. She builds/designs bridges. Her hobby is still sort of puzzle like...she quilts.
It actually looks so cool in dark, the effect it gives is stunning, but I wish you could see more of the design like this, by having some places here and there that would glow in the dark, maybe like the dragonfly's wings on those light spots, some of the bigger and smaller circles around the lamp, that would be just an absolute win! And also, I'm pretty sure you could find a way to insert in it maybe a little more solid light in there, just so it gives more light and you know, won't break after 10 minutes :D!
First the dad and now the sister!?! I can’t handle this much Kavett family love!!! It was also cool to see the sibling similarities- from the love of puzzles to the noses this was just great!! “Dragonfly” Tiffany lamp triggers aside I loved this video!!
Yes I ve done quite a lot of those puzz 3D. Living in Québec, Wrebbit who invented the puzzle is from Québec ( quebecors are call frogs sometimes thats why they give this name to the company) they were very popular. I remember the taj mahal has been my favorite one. Libellule/ Dragonflie
I used to love Puzz3D puzzles! I love puzzles in general but I haven't had time to do them recently. I had a Cinderella's Castle, U.S. Capitol, and Empire State Building Puzz3Ds. The Empire State Building took forever! All of the windows looked the same!
Nice to meet another member of the Puzzles family! Thanks for the fun video. I've never done the DRAGONFLY puzz3D nor any others. I would be fun to see Katie's collection in a future video.
How lovely, meeting more of your family! It's nice to see the face behind all those statistics about the 24000piece puzzle! I've never done a Puzz3d as I think I'm too clumsy and would struggle with the construction. But I find them fascinating and would love to see Katie's collection. Oh, and, dragonfly (couldn't work it into my comment this time😂)
Oh Karen Dragonfly! That was very entertaining watching you and your sis do the puzzles together. Fun sister times!!!! Would love to see the entire collection !!! Sisters are the best!! ❤❤
I've never done a Puzz3D (although I recently made a quilt of dragonfly fabric). I have done several off the Ravensberger 3=D puzzles. The Eiffel Tower, 3 large spheres, & a small, ornament size sphere. I really enjoy those. The edges of the pieces are beveled, so they really do make a smooth finished surface (and there are no little red dot pieces). I would LOVE to see Katy's puzzle collect (and her spreadsheet - I LOVE a good spreadsheet). I love to puzzle with my big sister too. We like the same kinds of puzzles. She's an edge-first person. I'm a dive-in-the-middle person. We both love colors, so our sorting is pretty compatible.
It’s so sweet to see you and your sister together in a video when you speak so affectionately about your family. The Dragonfly lamp is very cool and I really want to do a 3D.
What a fun video to see both you and your sister assemble the dragonfly lamp puzzles! SO curious about the caboose! Did you use it as a playhouse? Tell us more!!!
My favorite animal is the dragonfly, I was so excited when I saw that’s what the shade had on it! I’m very tempted to try to find one of these for myself. The grandfather clock also was very intriguing. My dad built a grandfather clock before I was born, and it has always had a place of honor in my parents’ house. I’ve always thought it was so beautiful, but I’m not talented enough to in woodworking to make one myself. A puzzle one might be just the right level of difficulty!
Have you ever done a Puzz3D before? I hope you liked this video with my sister, making her TH-cam debut!
No but I have a curiosity box ordered!! Sooo excited!
No, but I’ve done ravensburger 3D puzzles!
@@frankhendrickson9779 I've done both, I like the Ravens burger ones a lot more, though they're equally evil
Nope, but I think I’m going to try some soon now 😂😂
I've done a castle one! Took me forever and a lot of frustration but the end result was rewarding.
It's definitely a collection where you need the space to store it!
My favorite part was when Katie had to explain why finishing the puzzle was important. Solid puzzling.
such sister vibes lol. We got to see a different side of karen today. we saw her up against someone that could hold up a fight against her in puzzling. was really cool to see
lmaooo karen has such a younger sister energy when shes with her sister hahah!!

My sister, Katie Puzzles
Melted me
I’d like this but it’s at a perfect 333
They should make a new channel called Puzzle Sisters
@Jason Badass...how about Challenges against one another? Challenge 1 jigsaw puzzle (Karen's lane) then Challenge 2 Puzz 3D(Katie's lane). I was cracking up watching Karen's face.
Totally agree
Hey sisters
puzzled sisters lol
Or puzz sisters
Your sister is so cute and wholesome, I’d love to see her again and she’s such a natural at explaining her process! I have no choice but to Stan! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Katie: it a puzzle within a puzzle, Karen: meh
Karen: it’s a hat within a puzzle, Katie meh
Wonderful sibling video! Thanks for sharing.
I love it! I love how different yet similar they are! Though I feel karen on the hat thing :P I think we have a very similar sense of humor
I honestly didn't expect your sister to finish faster than you, that's pretty fun. And yeah, please bring your sister back again in another video ^^

First, you had your father on your channel, and now your sister! It's great to see how well you and your family get along!
I did a lot of filming while I was home! It was fun to have some projects to do together 🙂
Dragonfly. Yes I would like a tour of Katie's Puzz 3D collection. The lamp looks cool when lit up at night. Enjoyable video.
Me too! Would be nice to see Katie's collection
Yes!!! I want to see the collection

She doesn't have any public social media, but I'll see if I convince her to be back on my channel one day!
She said at the beginning of the video that this was her first time ever on youtube lol.
I had the Notre Dame Cathedral 3D puzzle that was amazing I put it together probably 100xs i never got bored with it
Wow! So its a puzzle, plus construction and origami!
150+ of them over 24 years now, right up to the 3141 piece New York, NY so many memories lol

I'm so obsessed with your wonderful family! A caboose in the backyard, puzzles for days, so fun!
As someone who has two older sisters, I know exactly what kind of energy you are talking about. Dragonflies
I have been enjoying seeing your family! The anvil collection video really showed me what lead to your puzzle collection/ obsession, and watching you hang out with Katie was really fun. It felt like a sleepover in a weird way, but it was very comforting to watch this 🥰
Lol random thing but during the summer dragonflies always follow my mom and nobody knows why
I've done a few harry potter 3d puzzles, they were so much fun! And: DRAGONFLY's are my favorite insect, they are so beautiful! Nice to see your sister in this video! She did great!
I was watching this while doing one of my puzzles! Your videos give me motivation to not give up on these puzzles! Love your videos!

The dragonfly border is pretty! Yes, do a 3d puzzle tour! Your sister seems really sweet, glad she did a video with you!
You two had such fun chemistry in this video, the sisterhood is cute! And would be really cool to see the Puzz3D collection 😍😍😍
Well you two little dragonflys were a delight to watch. Thank you. I've done 3D puzzles (maybe 3 of them). The most recent was a castle that was in a beach rental that we stayed at during the pandemic. None of them were Puzz3D's however. Thanks for this adorable sister episode.
Such sibling energy.. You two should do The Sibling Dance!
Loved this video! Never knew the world of puzzles was this deep. Glad to see the dragonflies as well.
What a nice and creative way to have fun with your siblings! Great Job!! The lamps are amazing and that DRAGONFLY design is beautiful!!
I love the dragonfly design lamp and watching you and your sister do them together was a treat.
There is something uniquely intelligent and utterly charming about the way you communicate. To sum it up, your voices are music to my ears.

This was adorable. I felt alllll the sister energy. I can so easily picture my sister and I communicating in exactly the same way XD
Yes yes yes....full tour of Katie's collection!🧩🧩🧩 Definitely!🗼🗼🗼
Yes I ve done quite a lot of those puzz 3D. Living in Québec, Wrebbit who invented the puzzle is from Québec ( quebecors are call frogs sometimes thats why they give this name to the company) they were very popular. I remember the taj mahal has been my favorite one. Libellule/ Dragonflie

Nice to meet another member of the Puzzles family! Thanks for the fun video. I've never done the DRAGONFLY puzz3D nor any others. I would be fun to see Katie's collection in a future video.
I loved that you had 2 puzzles and put them together simultaneously. The puzzles looked like fun and he design with the dragonfly (íes) were beautiful
Great video, so fun to see you and your sister working on those DRAGONFLY puzzles together.

I saw the caboose in the anvil video and was curious about it so thanks for sharing a little about it. The dragonfly wings remind me of cicada wings.
What a fun, fun video! I so enjoyed watching you and your sister play together. I love the dragonfly design on the lamp, too.

Have a wonderful upcoming week Karen.
Happy puzzling! 🧩😁🌈✨

I looooove that this runs in the family, it's just beautiful ❤️
It was so fun watching you and your sister do this together! I've never done 3D before, it gives me the feeling of doing Legos
"This is so complicated..."
"This is the fun part!"
Ahh, I can see why she went into engineering lol
Love 3D Puzzles. I've done the New York, New York 3D Puzzle too! You guys look like you're having fun together.
