- In this video we are going to show you how to install USB fast charging ports (buttons / switches) on VW Golf Mk5, Golf Mk6, Jetta, Passat B6, Tiguan, Scirocco, etc.

I installed the same USB ports on my Golf 4 car, but even though the car is not running, the USB port lights are on and never turn off and it continues to charge the phone. What could be the reason for this?

Does these USB ports are able to transfer data? Can they be used to connect to Carplay?
they are connected to cigarette lighter. but if u connect to them to radio then yes.
If you dont need the dual usb ports, you can just cut the wire end from the usb button and connect the red and black from it the same way? Just skip the dual usb port.

No bc the dual adapter makes it so the 12V from the cables are converted to 5V for USB, you cannot directly connect it because of high voltage
Why would you put a extra cigarette charger in
to put a twin usb charger hidden

Basically he converted his cigarette charger into two USB chargers. It’s a cosmetic thing, ie the USB ports look better than using a cigarette charger
A tutorial on installation of USB ports on VW polo mk5 would be helpful...
The procedure it is similar with vw golf mk5.

Why put a fog light switch there when all you need to do is pull the light switch towards yourself to turn the fog lights on?
