I settled next to the beach cave. I've got my fields above the cave on the sloped terrain and all my buildings on the lower flat section. It's been plenty of space for me. I love that the mine couldn't possibly get any closer, and there's TWO clay pits very close to the south and east. This wasn't a deciding factor early on, but now that I have the tavern, I'm in need of lots of clay for mead and wine bottles.
I have my village to the south of Piastovia, at the waterfall/cave area. Positioned my house that the one side looks directly at the falls. I put the fields on the flat land between it and Piastovia.
I started my village northeast of Piastovia. As soon as I found the waterfall cave, I knew that's where I wanted to build, so moved my village. I just love the waterfall. The two ruins close by are kind of cool.
I chose the area just north of the Ostoya lake and building there right now. It has everything and just seemed like a good location and great views of the lake.
I built my village just across the river to the west of Piastovia. I also built resource storage buildings by each cave, so I don’t have to haul my ore very far on my mining expeditions. Plus it makes finding the caves way easier the next time around. I go mining every winter.
A nice place to build is also north of Piastovia on the moon shaped lake. On my save my setlement is on the waterfall but you should really check it out!
5:12 is where I’m building my town right now. I love the rock formations, makes kind of like natural walls to section off the streets I’m making. I also love the mini stream going through town. Just up the path before it veers off to the right, there’s a cool horse shoe spot where I put my farm. And you were wondering if you can build a fishing shack on the swamp/pond. Yes you can.😊
I just started playing again. I was having some seconds thoughts on my placement of village so I had to look for a video about it. But I have settled down a few clicks under the most nothern abandon "mining camp", where the tavern has slide off the cliff!
I first start by waterfall. Nice location, but I prefer building with a lot of maples nearby and I think the size of your village is a bit limited. I’m building on the beach right now as well as on the island across the bridge. I think it’s a good location, but I need to plan better. Thank you for the tips.
I built at the beach cave. Crops above the mine on a slope, looks cool. Windmill is on the outcroppiing to the east, overlooking the settlement. I have lots of room and it isn't really that far from Piastovia and Klonica. Once you build up enough coin you can travel from Piastovia to Skauki and Ostoya using the wagoneer. There are lots of moose, deer and badgers just next to my town, wolves and boars across the road by the abandoned buildings and there is clay. If you need wisent, there are some by the swamp. I love the location. Built a boardwalk along the beach, and a nice central square around the tavern. In the early game it's convenient for gathering rock, ores and lots of trees. I love the location. Best one ever!!
Personally I got my omega village built around a South of pistovia right between two mines, easy access to the mine village and lake village too. Maxed out so much stuff that I'm just waiting for the child of mine to grow now lol
I always build in the area just north of Ostoya with the small marsh area (which is enough for a fishing hut btw). I use the entire area inside the space outlined by the road. Usually place my homes and workstations at the end furthest from Ostoya, and my animals and crops at the opposite end since it's the flattest and most open space. There is a single bear that sometimes spawns there guarding a chest in the marshy area, but it's not too much trouble to take out.
I settled the beach cave east of Klonica. You did mentioned and while it is true that building space is limited on just that beach. You should have talked more about the greater area further inland which offers deposits/sources/wild game of every resource nearby. The beach area can have the mine and 4-5 16×16 fields can fit and a Stone Extraction Hut. Which is what I used the beachfront for. Off to the northern shore I set up a pigsty and the breeders house to produce the manure for the fields. And some houses for the farmers. It is then on top of the cliff just above and beyond the cave where the actual building of the metro area begins, uphill towards the road fork slightly to somewhat sloped, but the terrain isn't too stubborn with the placing. Once you're on the other side of the road fork just a few yards ahead there's clay deposits. I plan to spend year 1 here, building a small and scattered settlement that produces all the raw materials and once I have it all I plan to settle further northeast to evenly spread the population density in the map. Having this beachcave hamlet as the half-way point between the fore-planned unbuilt just yet large city and Piastovia. Since every resource is grown/extracted here it makes it a great template for a "New Game" save file for a less grindy start on a future playthrough. If you wish to have a headstart where you just start out and settle wherever you want with a source of building materials to get constructing and managing right away. I recommend you check out the area of my narrative as I feel it is deserving of a showcase and feel free to reach out if you'd like to join my game to get some footage of my work-in-progress there. Cheers.
Just SW from klonica where the river starts to S is a great spot, and with the ability to build bridges now you can implement across the river and ample space for fishing a lot of animal spawns too
My village is on the big island just north of the Beach cave. I've made a small mining town on the beach cave area. Eventually once I get enough research points for a bridge I'll be building a bridge directly from the island to the beach cave.
I built my village on the island south of the east klonica point because I felt that "historically" it would be a good place for a town, as it's easily defendable, is located on a road that leads from the biggest city out of the region and has easy access to water.
I actually really liked building in the beach area lol. We started by the beach and sprawled into the wolf forest, and up the path. On top of the cliff was beautiful for our player homes
hello sir jay, new player here. I find your medieval dynasty videos quite helpful. The game has me but i am in a restart doom ofc. I am on gamepass so have not tried the oxbow but cant wait. anyway, enjoy the game.
Our multiplayer game we built just to the north of Piastovia in that C-shaped area. We're close to Piastovia, there's clay nearby, there's fishing in that big river right there. The only downside is it's swampy right there, so you have to build around the water.
I built my village directly west of Piastovia at the swamp. Sadly I cut down all trees and did not know I can't plant them. Guess I'am going to move east of Skauki next to the river.
Mine's East Klonika.. Main village on the island, farms and orchards on the other side all the way to the map's border. You can build a miner camp on the cave on the other side and connect it to the main village with a bridge. And Klonika isn't really that far when you have a horse.
My town is in that little swamp, and it does allow a fishing hut in it. There's a ton of clay, but the danger is not just boars. I had a rogue bear harass me every time I get too close to one side of that marsh.
My village is literally right next to the northeast skauki spot am working my way over to that area he marked on his map 🔥🔥🔥love being surrounded by water or being at my smith watching bears eat across the way
North of Ostoya or near the West Cave might be your best bet for space! You could also keep your current village and make a separate mini village somewhere else on the map, to offset all the crowding.
@@SirJayWalker I will confess, I also thought you were saying bison, but mispronouncing the "i", lol. Just started the game today. I'd never heard of wisents until now :) Thanks, nice to learn something new.

I just wished the story was longer. Had more side quests. I hope a part 2 comes out.
The ice mountain climb was pretty kool

Great intro to the Oxbow. I settled at the waterfall/cave area south of Piastovia on my first game, and I love it there.

Bridges definitely a game changer for city building

I have a village in the Northeast Piastovia exactly in that location. The 4 way cross in the road is the center of town.
Got the skyrim tavern music… 🥲 classic
2:30 the best place i found was just north if piastovia at the crescent moon pond, nice large flat area, easy city reach and even wisent spawn

Wow thx for all location i think i wanna take the same place than you ^^
I would like to know how you made to film in aerial view ?
My village the massive island south of where your charter is standing for east of klonica
how did you make videos and screens from birds eye??
Photo mode in options menu!
Is there anywhere where we can get the map like the original Dynasty map
are the PC and PS5 maps different? I don't have Piastovia on my map?
Console updates are slightly behind the PC update. All we know is that the Oxbow update is coming to console before summer
Started at the waterfall and I'm running out of space. Looking to move.

First place of the video for my village. But i want to test somewhere else.
"pay the kings tax of one like and one sub" clever, Im going to do it, also, he didn't say "smash those likes" so double win!
Skyrim music in the background.
5:17 is the best location to build
I bought this game in the early days, now years later, I don’t even recognize this game anymore
Dang dude, I paid the tax! Lower the crossbow already! 😂
1-str location - there oxes, wolves and bear in the range of 50 meteres)
I built on the beach with the cave with my friend
This game has to change how you place the farming field and the orchard... It would be much easier if we could rotate the planting patch..
I agree, but I don't see them changing it anytime soon, sadly
I disagree. I use farm fields to create the grid that keeps my towns "squared".
Here Early
Wait, but isn't it Bison? Like "Bye Son" xD lol
I wish they had AI type npc's since this game almost turns into a second life!
That would be nice for sure 🙂
I thought I found the coolest spot no guides and boom it’s in the top 3 lol
Did bro just say Beesons? It’s BISON like BYE SON…
They're not called Bisons. They're Wisents. That's how u say it

@mindybrown8571 All good! Maybe I should use the English pronunciation as to not confuse people in the future cuz I get this a lot 😅
Pay em tax 😂

Yea let's build a village next to another village lol
You're not supposed to build close to the villages already built.
What are you talking about lol
I dont like any location
Might have to go and explore then or play on the Valley. the choices there are better IMO
