Is there a cap on how many skills can be leveled up to cap? Also - do a villager that's meant to be a farmer/hunter - benefit from something like survivalability, or are those skills used only for the work assignments - and not i.e. personal survival...?

My only one piece of constructive criticism I can think of applies to almost every single village I've ever seen in these videos. People keep putting archery targets in interesting spots but they are always way too close to be of any real use. Many of the 'practice targets' near hunting lodges, smithies and so on have only like 3-5 meters available in front of it. Nobody is using a bow at that range and even kind of too close range for spears.

I just started with the game and built my village after randomly walking through the map searching a nice spot. It's so far away and the bears are scaring me, so I thought I made a big mistake. Turned out I built it exactly at your West Cave location, so obviously not a bad spot. 😊

My main tip about the baby booming is to have a man and woman in each workplace so when the woman goes on mat leave, there is still a worker there, and I rotate the women around to fill the gaps (the ones that come off mat leave take over the jobs of the women who go onto mat leave)

Last time I played , I put 3 points in treasure hunter and every season I hit every clay pit and always found 3-6 expensive items that you can only get from the exotic goods trader. Maybe they nerfed it since then...

Did anyonw find where the caravan was attacked in the beginning

I've been on the fence about getting Sengoku Dynasty for a while now. The steam ratings have been going back up recently, but it feels "telling" that it's number of in-game players in medieval dynasty tends to be 10x that of Sengoku Dynasty. It's like... "There has got to be a reason for such a big difference, right?" You'd expect MDs player count to go down as the game gets older, whereas SDs player count should be high considering how much attention it's been getting in steam. Do you feel Sengoku is getting the attention/fandom it deserves? Looking at this video, I don't like SD's character design. I'm not sure it's the models or the texture/shading. SD's characters look... smudged, or something. Not being able to choose to play as a woman is also a few points lost. As far as village development (buildings and such), SD does indeed seem to beat MD hands down. One question, can you drop items and use them as decor in SD as well? It may sound strange, but if not, MD would still win out to me. Building placement and lack of plantable flora and such are huge downsides of MD, but being able to decorate your village with objects freely is a great enough boon to make up for it compared to SD, if SD doesn't have it. Also, since I never liked MDs village management, if SD's is even worse.... Auch. TBH, looking at the video, it feels like my biggest beef with SD would be the high degree of required non-village-building activities. To me, battle is just something to spice up the game. The quests in MD are mostly a distraction, so having to conquer entire regions or help with building buildings not mine in SD... Dunno. Is there an option to turn that off?

How does work intensity work? Originally my workers weren't doing jack and after googling I found out that work intensity needs to be set. I set it to 100%, is that best practice or no?

So what? you have a village and what next? Are you just walking around in this Game? Hmmm Awesome. Are there any trade agreements in the game for products from your village, e.g. wood, coal, grain, etc. Trade loops with other villages?

Ive only seen the first 3 as of now but that very first one was incredibly creative. #3 however is very spaced out and i like that idea alot.

Watching 11 months after post and a few things. Everything mostly has stayed the same except the prices on some things have gone up and the bandits and guards are a lot faster and well armoured and there are a lot more of them. But this helped me get the most coins I'd gotten so far so no complaints

Unimportant Question: is the Heir always the same gender as you? And if your Heir has multiple children, do the children have a chance to be a different gender?

You should sketch the bird house , then when you go to islands that need animals, you can just build a bird house each time rather than use Jack or Avery

Yea, I'm not watching you play for 5 hours to find out what changed in the game.

This is NOT a good comparison. I have 1040 hours on Medieval Dynasty. I am not program bashing...but MD, after 4 years, is still missing a huge chunk of program. Item recognition and path finding. There was (still is) zero interaction between NPCs (villagers) and your character. At the start…there was no voice. You had to read conversations. An in-game hour takes 2 real-time minutes. You had to save game, read, restore game, click fast as you could to make selections. You could waste an entire day with one conversation. The villagers now say things... and things said are... lets just say they hit on subjects that the gaming industry stays away from. MD has a large problem with things ghosting through other things, such as a gate through a fence. A deer skull places as a decoration, is only ½ was recognize as solid. There are a lot of things that float around, grass, rocks, trees, knives. There were also bumps and holes found in the map. Arrows or Bolts would bounce off animals and you had to use Inspector Mode to find them. Cut trees would roll sideways on a hill, things dropped would roll away through fences, foundations and items that are supposed to be solid. NPCs or Villagers are often seen running into each other. The recent Autumn Update was an absolute joke and caused more problems than it corrected. Sengoku Dynasty by having the ability to move buildings, creating items in your home, NPC interactions and path-finding, already have Medieval Dynasty beaten by years. Rendercube, by their own posting, is focused on PlayStation, Xbox, PlayStation 5, Xbox SeriesX|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In my opinion they are vastly over-extended. Medieval Dynasty is 4 years old. Rendercube has not corrected any of the issues it started with. Current updates made no corrections and created larger problems. There are many videos of persons using a lot of creativity to make decorations from items. There is so much Open-Source Coding out there… there is no reason why Medieval Dynasty for PC should not be a top program.
