Yours is one of the best reactions I've seen to 'Who's on First', and you had no problem following all the twists and turns. This is a perfect example of how one does not need to rely on profanity to create a fabulous comic routine. AS far as I can tell, Bud and Lou are the only non-athletes inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, and it's due to this sketch. In 2007, Chiang-Lung Hu was playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers. in one of his first games, he hit a single, Announcer Vin Scully reacted to this, saying 'After 70 years, i can finally say it: Hu's on first!'
I just turned 77 years old last month, and I have watched this classic Abbott and Costello routine more than 50 years since I was a child in the 1950s and I STILL laugh so hard every time I watch it. It NEVER gets old, it's brilliant. So nice to see SO MANY young people reacting to it. You are adorable and have a beautiful smile. Great reaction!! You should watch their "7 x 13 = 28" routine , it is HILARIOUS TOO!!
The reactions of this young lady are similar to the reactions of we "Oldies" when we heard and saw these two consummate artists of comedy way back in the 1950s. Genuine amusement coming from just a play on words. I am so ,pleased that maybe now more of the younger generation will get to see and enjoy what we laughed at when we were young.
By the time this specific performance was filmed, they'd done the skit many times over the years. (They originally started working on it in the late thirties; this performance was filmed in the mid fifties.) It was probably their single most popular sketch; certainly it has become their most famous work in the long term. The sketch isn't completely original; it's based on earlier comedy and burlesque routines by various people with similar word-play; but Abbot and Costello's baseball-team version became the most famous and highly regarded, probably mostly because they absolutely perfected the timing and delivery, although the popularity of baseball (at the time, it was the most popular sport in most of America) likely also contributed something to its success.
Even though you're not familiar with the game of baseball, you understood the comedy remarkably well. For reference, baseball is an American adaptation of cricket. It has been called America's pastime. There are several Abbott and Costello comedy skits on TH-cam, and they are hilarious. By the way, you are very pretty. Love and hugs from America.
Make up? You don’t need no makeup darlin. You’re adorable just like you are. And I especially loved your WICKED GAMES reaction. Omg. Thanks cutie. I’ll watch some more.
shows the brilliance of these two genius comedians that they reach out across the decades and culture to someone who doesn't even know the game of baseball and bring such joy. Greatly enjoyed your reaction
I have seen this routine probably one hundred times. So my attention was totally on your pretty face as I watched you enjoy it. Thank you for such a pleasant experience!
Oh, Nostalgic, I'm so glad I came across you today. You are a delight. I really enjoyed your reaction to one of my favorite classic comedy skits. Yes, you definitely understood all the funny stuff here. And you said something so funny yourself. You said "I was laughing my ass out." That was very very funny because the common expression in english is "I was laughing my ass off." It's supposed to be "off," not "out," LOL! But that was great, I loved it, LOL. OK, I am liking and subscribing. Now, one last thing. You absolutely look like a golden girl. I never saw anyone who looked so golden. I just gotta ask one personal question if I may. Is that your real hair or is it a wig? If it's your real hair, it's beautiful. If it is a wig then it was a very good choice for a wig to wear. Oh, I liked what you said at the end that we don't want mean humor, we want kind or just funny humor. OK, many blessings to you!
Look out for the full radio episodes. They run for roughly 25 minutes - half an hour. This particular episode also features Marilyn Maxwell and Skinnay Ennis who sing musical numbers plus the ads for Camel Cigarettes. Other episodes include “Nylon Stockings”, “Thanksgiving Dinner”, “At the Circus” and “Lion Hunting”.
Great video reactions here are some popular suggestions for you.. 1. Bee Gees - Too Much Heaven 2. Earth, Wind & Fire - September (Official HD Video) 3. Three Dog Night - Mama Told Me Not To Come (1970) 4. John Denver - Rocky Mountain High (From "Around The World Live" DVD) 5. Earth, Wind & Fire - Boogie Wonderland (Official Video) 6. Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street (Official Video) 7. Elvis Presley - What Now My Love (Aloha From Hawaii, Live in Honolulu, 1973)
They were the top comedy team of their time. Costello was the boss; Abbot got 60% because he was the best straight man in the country and a good one was hard to find.
You have a glorious smile and laugh. Makeup is a waste on you, you are radiant and do not need it. Makeup is bad for the skin and also makes people look unnatural and fake. I love seeing the natural beauty of skin. Yours is exquisite.
I've been re-watching the Universal Abbott and Costello movies. Most are very good, at least a B- and some are A- to A+. Abbott and Costello made about 35 movies for Universal from 1940-1955.

So lovely to see a young lady enjoy this so much.
They did that for twenty years, never the same twice.
Yes Lady😂😂😂 VERY funny 😅😅😅
One of, if not the best comedy routines written. I'm happy to see a those who have not seen it before to enjoy it.
You dont need any make-up, you are beautiful as you are, especially with your amazing smile 🥰
Your reaction to this was wonderful!! 😂😂😂
Thank you for the reaction! This act can be hard to follow unless a person is familiar with baseball, but you did a great job.
Glad you enjoyed it!❤

Bobby Barber handed Lou the props.
This was absolute genius when it came out, and it still holds up, judging by your reaction.
PS - You are cute.
Aww thank you 🙈💗
Glad you enjoyed this❤
Although Abbott and Costello have been doing this routine since the 1930s, this video clip was filmed in the 1950s.
Now you know everything about the great game of baseball.

Joke:
Using my exquisite command of the English language, I said nothing.
Joke: There are three kinds of people in the world: those who can count and those who can't. 😊
😂 nice one
@@Nostalgicsensation - Nice two.... oh, wait, you're right, it was only one :)
This joke done in 1953
Love your accent where are you from
Nigeria ☺️❤️
You might like Laurel and Hardy too.
Simple question for you. Who's on first?
Try an English comedy The Two Ronnie's Four Candle's sketch, this will show another play on words.
Why?
OH, Yes. The Two Ronnies!
They were WARNING us way back then, to not use pronouns like ze/zer/zi etc..
We didn't listen.😞
