Absolutely love your videos JH keep them coming and OCD rules, nothing better than things being right, I bet Brian thanks you because it makes his job easy
So how did those field bins get dents in them? Did that happen during moving or something else? I would imagine they could get pretty unstable in the right wind when you're travelling alone. Love your video's. Big thanks!
We have tried them in the past but there is just to much variability in them to rely on them. With our moisture fluctuating so much it’s easier to have a large calibrated unit that I know I can rely on. I’m happy to do the driving to make sure my moisture is correct 👍
Would it be very hard for someone from NZ to get into farming like this in aus i've always been so fascinated by it but we just don't have this over here
Couple of reasons, the unit needs to be on a flat surface with constant power, if you drive around with them you will cause the calibration to go out and it won’t be useful. The second is that it’s a hire unit that is meant to be in a central location for other farmers to come and use. There are three other farmers who come and use the unit at my shed so it wouldn’t be fair to them if it had it with me out in the paddock the whole time
Can’t get bored watching your videos
That’s what I like to hear!!
Welcome back George, we're happy to see you smiling face!
Good luck combining your 2023 crops

Should set the moisture machine up on the back of your ute with a generator it would save a lot of time and driving
Great video JH
Just watched ya ol mate Jack outback, good video drilling 2 bores and plenty of good water and plenty of honest working words 😂😂. Great video Johno.
1 truck 3 trailers. What a beast of a unit. I never believed the flies were such a P I the ass in Aus.
Love the videos from Texas
Thanks 👍

Self propelled augurs are a back saver as well
Yep so glad we went to them after having the old three wheeled push alongs! Makes it a one man job now!
Should weld a hitch to the back of the feild bin so you can tow the auger behind when moving
You’ll have to get another couple of those 100 tonners. Shifting those bins and augers must be a pain in the ar•••.
Yep that’s definitely what I am thinking too. Only problem is I need to find a tractor to go on the new bin 🤔
That good
how much does it cost to plant 1 hectare of wheat or canola or barley family was in farming 43 years ago the machinery pretty technical now
17.5
If you’re canola goes over a ton to the ha your beating most of the east coast by the sounds of things
Do you cover field bins when it’s raining or just leave them
OI how goods the flies at the moment
Yep just lovely! 😂
How is your harvest going
getting there! only a few days left!!
how much tonnage are you getting a hectare in yeild
Great vids, how come you don't use a portable moisture meter.

How many tones off Bailey does the lorry carry at a time to town.
79tonnes
Where do you find that fancy hitch? What’s it called?
It’s called a Lazy Hitch and it’s from Hitch’s and More
The mow is gone
It’s currently growing! These videos are delayed so it was October when I was filming

To own a farm, yes very hard. To work on one like Henry has done, very easy! There is nearly a kiwi on every farm come harvest and seeding!
OCD field bins
For the win!
Tom question for you, why don't you have the tester in the back of your car. Instead of tripping back to the farm. That's wasting time.
