I got the the disc version so the braking surface is not an issue. To me the lack of a flashy logo is a plus and I'm not seeing the poor quality finish you mention. I've been amazed at the quality for the cheap price. The ceramic bearings and freehub pawls came fully lubed. As you point out these things roll and roll and the freehub is the quietest I've ever had. Thanks for the heads up on the lack of rubber seals for the hubs and the need for the occasional clean and relube job.

Yea no flashy logo etc, but suppose that's what you get for the price. Still happy with them. Just make sure to clean and re grease every couple or few months 👌👌

I bought the same one after seeing your review. I've had Zipp 303 Firecrest V9 before and the brake surface is pretty much the same. Not much stopping power when wet but I feel Ryet is better when dry.

When I got a new frame I made sure to get disc so I would not concern myself with braking surfaces on a carbon wheelset

Hey mate good no nonsense video.. Got a question with the ceramic bearings, obviously they arent sealed, but do you know what the bearing standard is? I was able to find generic sealed bearings for my 2017 year American Classic 420 wheelset, despite the fact they dont make them anymore. I looked up the website, which had all the bearing/hub info for all their wheels, & got the bearing standard no from there, & was able to get new sealed bearings for my front hub, for $40 NZD.. The reason i ask this, is if you know the bearing standard size for the ceramic bearings, would it be possible to buy identical generic steel bearings, remove the bearings & clean the bearing shell etc out, replace with ceramic bearing lube, & replace the steel bearings with ceramic ones, in the generic, but sealed bearing shell? .. Also, do you know if they make gravel disc wheels?
Also props for the DJing, what genre are you? I'm mad into my D&B, Jungle, Dubstep, House, & Techno, deep & low.. EZ, Peace :)

Hey bud, thanks for the kind words, currently in the process of building a gravel bike, so will post that video soon. Produce and play house, tech house bud, check out some of my tracks on my channel. In terms of the bearing size I have no idea bud, you could reach out to certain companies like ceramic speed as I know they sell the bearings separately, then buy cheaper version with the same size on AliExpress, or you could ask RYET directly as they might sell you the bearings. swapping out the bearings isn't an issue you just need the right tools to get out the steel ones and change over. there is YT videos showing you how to do this :)
