  • Its been a little while since i did something with the Huina 583 front loader , so i thought it was time to do a bit more work on it :)
This time adding some weight back into it after having taken out weight to make the magnetic battery compartment.
I managed to fit in about 740g, but could fit in another 380g if i want. I'll wait and see how it handles with the new weights first ........ there could be more room for more weight, but that will involve a bit more investigation and opening up the body to find more space.

Still need to do a proper test, but it should be worth doing ..... especially is you've got a box of weights sitting around

i used the space inside the wheel where the drive shaft connects to add weight, i had a tube of fire cement which is heavy stuff and a caulking gun and filled the wheel in a bowl shape to allow the drive shaft clearance i also set a bunch of nuts into the fire cement before it hardened, it added a lot of weight, il also use this vids way too

nice, you could try getting more weight in the body at the back, there should be a bit of space in there somewhere. Just remember the more weight in the wheels the more the motors have to work to move them.

@@Granite-City-RC your 100% right the motors are already strugling, do you know if the metal gearbox/driveshaft upgrade has more power?

@ from what i remember ther do have a little more power, and would add a little more weight. i'm sure a while back i saw a video of someone adding a motor to drive each wheel as well, but i think they replaced all the electronics with their own and modified a lot to get it all working , but that was more effort and skill then i had and was willing to do lol

Put some never sees before you put the wheels back on make it a lot. Easier to takeoff next time.
