Wow! Thank you ..feel like I'm in the presence of people who know Madonna on a deeper level, so there was some juicy stuff here, but no smut...for example - M doing a Vegas show, and the Kylie reference - mwah to that discourse ...spot on! Feels like home, proper queen discussion ❤🎉

I wanna remind everyone again that in the case of "desperate" Madonna, She's been desperate since the day She arrived in New York with $35 in Her pocket. She was desperate to get her record played at the clubs, desperate to get a record contract, desperate to be seen and heard and to be successful. Madonna, along with anyone in show business, is always "desperate" for one thing or another, why is this very normal way of being for any artist only projected onto Madonna, and always as a negative? The words
"old" and "desperate" (they go hand in hand even today) have been stamped on Madonna since the day She released Erotica, the SEX book and the Girlie Show!!! Fans have obviously, maybe subconsciously, adopted this narrative and it does Madonna the biggest disservice. I love you Nadya...you had me cackling in the first few minutes of this podcast! 👑
ps. I can see M doing a "sitting on a stool and just telling stories and not being prepared" when She's 75 or 85!!!

That’s true. I think she’s always had to fight and prove herself as an artist and that might be a hard thing for her to give up. I see moments where she tries, but I think she still wants to create and have those creations be celebrated and be successful, not so much for the fame or money, but to have it be accepted. I don’t see why that’s such a bad thing, though yes, she might create better art if she did it to please herself first before anyone else.

@@graphiquejack , it is rather telling that despite all the success that she have...she probably do not need to work for the rest of her life and just retire... all that money is not enough or mattered, she just want to continue to work and create. Kind of like the Norma Desmond character in Sunset Boulevard. She was rich and lived in a huge mansion but she remained profoundly unhappy because all that mattered to her was to keep working and remain relevant.

Success come from within..I love it! I'm achieving something, feeling more authentically me. WLW embracing, and achieving new and greater goals I set for myself

Final thread on Madonna's take on fame .I think you referenced Madonna, her Biopic, and her success brilliantly. It's not about who likes you, it's about achieving. Not sure I've quite grasped the nut of that idea here, but I do get ya! Would love to govt dinner with you both, then an intimate Madonna experience ..perhaps the film as it was explored here, with Madonna going back in time , no control, a small room dialogue with those she loves and trusts

I agree Madonna is a reflection for us all! We see what we want to see. Also what’s inside us that needs attention. Madonna is and always will be Madonna. She does her perfectly💓

Nadya has a very insightful perspective. Loved the interview.
I’m sick of biopics!! Like documentaries they have become normie fare!
I really wish Madonna called this tour ICONography. To establish herself as THE Icon. To show her power!!! Also it fits into her visual/artistic language better. I am curious to see how nostalgic she goes! I wish Nikki Donna Jose and Luis and Carleton and everyone was there!!! She tried it with that tour announcement video.

I love the Sphere and the footage of U2 was mind blowing. I do think it would be cool if she did it but i also think she would want to do something new. So if she did Vegas it would need to be pioneering. It’s unfortunate that she didn’t secure the censure before U2.

We must remember Madonna doesn’t get to go see a Madonna concert and check for spoilers like we do.we don’t think of this on a daily basis and we need to.

I disagree. With a lot said about Madonna on this episode. People assume a lot of shit about her and her motivations for what and why she does what she does.

I don’t like her take on Madonna either. I don’t really understand why she’s a guest on this podcast. I prefer when they have people who have actually worked with Madonna in some capacity like the dancers
