- Armand Duplantis broke his own pole vault world record at the Diamond League in Xiamen, China, clearing 6.24m. Duplantis bettered his previous mark of 6.23m set at the Eugene Diamond League finale in September, clearing the bar with ease before leaping up off the sponge mat below and racing off in celebration at his first outdoor event of the year. It is the eighth time that Duplantis has broken the world record, and the 24-year-old was the only man to clear six metres at the Egret Stadium.

He is so far ahead of his competition it’s unbelievable.
What an athlete. He is putting the achievements of the great Sergei Bubka in the shade. Armand is doing for the pole vault what Usain Bolt did for the 100m/200m. The question now is what is the length limit for a safe pole? Unlike other events, this one must have a limit that is coming soon.
He is on of the the greatest athletes
Magiskt🇸🇪
Amazing how it is when someone breaks the world record in athletics like this over and over again. After a few records people just stop caring about it as much and does not give the credit where it's due.
Speak for yourself. Every world record in Track and Field is special. Some last for decades others may be bettered within minutes, but they’re all brilliant.
he doesn't breaks the WR time and time again, he gets a bonus every time he breaks it, he knew he could jump higher earlier, why break the record by 10cm when you can break it by 1-2 cm multiple times and get an expensive watch or cash every time.
He is running so well ! What an athlete
He is so high ! So high ! SO HIGH !!!
what spike does he wearing?
Excellent !!!!!
Amazing
A very appreciative Chinese crowd ! 👍👏🀄
That's nearly 20 feet, 6 inches. Completely insane that someone can convert a fast run into an gain in height of over 20 feet. Respect.
Eccezionale!!

Woa!

MY FAVORITE SWEDISH AMERICAN 🇺🇸 🇸🇪
Mondo cool
Some 30 years ago Sergey Bubka did 6.14 in Sestriere, Italy. Way over the bar.

step it up a notch MONDO, you would be 640 soon.
😮
This magician could probably jump 21 feet if he wanted to.
Tell me you're American without telling me you're American...the whole planet uses metric
This jump was worth 6.30m easy !

@@zlmdragon.Haha
the super swede
Isnt he just breaking his own records now?
Ya
He broke his own record 8X now(times)
imagine if he jumped what he actually could?.. he'll break WRs cm by cm which is actually a shame. 3 years ago he couldve jumped 6.35.
You're exaggerating now. I believe he maybe already could've jumped 6.25 last year, but 6.35 is just ridicilous. He goes up by 1cm for the money, but also because it's incredibly difficult. He doesn't break the record every meeting does he?
if I were him, I go up every 1cm as well. If he went for 2cm (6.26) and cant do it, it will build pyschological barrier.
@@powerrangers16712es que nunca subirá de 2 en 2. Ya que cada vez que bate el récord le dan 50k creo
it's about the money. the more often he breaks it, the more money he gets. the GOAT of pole vaulting, sergey bubka, did it that way too, though sometimes he did it by 2cms instead of 1
@@i_dont_know_who_i_am69mondo is the goat keep coping
Back when anybody cared about athletics, this would have been big
Heat starting 5 ist fast so jung wie okc und zerstört Boston und Björn und Maxx haben wiedermal keine Ahnung vom Basketball
💉💉💉
Unable to beat Russia in sports games, the US and EU had to use jungle rules to avoid competing with the Russians. This result seems unclean
Can't root for him, he is an American, lived here went to school here, total BS competing for Sweden
Has a Swedish mum. Spent every summer in Sweden as a child. Now has a Swedish girlfriend, speaks fluent Swedish.
@@Busluren great , who cares
You seem rather invested...
Sweden is more unique and better than the US so...
@@realAndresilver many places are better. the US is where loads of money go to the priveledged. So thats the attraction.
He is so high ! So high ! SO HIGH !!!
