The first time my Narc boyfriend's mask dropped we were on a raid trip and he started yelling at me over where I wanted to eat. Instead of reacting I went silent. After a minute or two of his rage (which he never showed me before in our 7 months of dating) he started to get confused as to why I wasn't yelling back and then he started to get scared (he was wondering if I was gonna leave him for this). He eventually stopped and I acted like everything was perfectly normal I even ate where he wanted to eat but when we got home that evening I took all my stuff and left. I knew it was over the minute he showed me that side. It was confirmation he was a Narcissist and I was not gonna end up with someone like my mother.

@@Jennifer-di4nl well my mom is an NPD as well. And I had a narc mom, boss and friends at a certain point in my lufe. Always trying to please them, never good enough.. So I was literally surrounded by them. And I had rage as well, but I did not know why. Now many years later I realized what was going on. I got rid of all of them and my rage has subsided dramatically. It's the kinda rage that even a narcissist would run away from. It's like a wound that been open and the pain just pours out as rage. And the narcissists in my life have been tearing my wounds open for years. Now I have set up boundaries and closed myself off as I attract them. But that's my story. I did screw up with a girl at that time. But I was surrounded by narcissists and it was a miracle that I survived. I did yell at her with rage. I hate myself for it, but now I know why. I have never done that to anybody before. But at that moment in time of my life I was in a bad place.

This is so interesting. When my husband yells at me, I completely freeze and say nothing. This drives him nuts and he constantly tells me that I’m being abusive because I’m giving him the silent treatment and it’s abuse. When I do speak up and I’m upset then he gets in my face and yells at me more. Lord help me. I tried to leave last year and he freaked out on me with threats later said how he would divorce me if he could and take our girls away from me.

might actually need conversation like oxygen
and they might be toxic only because they need to speak thru it.

who might behave badly or even horribly, yet are not bad or even horrible people

It just sucks seeing how likeable they are to strangers artificially, around them I seemed like the elephant in the room and they’ll even invest in that narrative and say something to you that’s meant to sound supportive to the uneducated listener and degrading to you, the truth observer. Double meaning. If you play your cards right it’s easy to get them to tell on themselves. I was at a friends house that was planning to kill me. The guys an ex coworker of mine but he’s also a gang member and a genius. United Nations level genius. I knew he was smarter than me in most aspects but I had the advantage because I kept my ears open, I knew he was wearing a mask, he didn’t know I was wearing one, I have the ability to be sneaky. Thank fuck because he was real close to checkmating me I left at the perfect time I was 3 mins away from a bullet to the head. 👁

      @@MrNikhilgherwar ;
      Not true.
Narcissist are cruel and evil, knowingly setting out to destroy and hurt other’s. Some may NOT know they are Narcissist, but they ALWAYS know, they are intentionally hurting people, AND that it is wrong!
Empath’s would NEVER intentionally set out to hurt another fellow human being. In fact, we live to bring healing ❤️‍🩹 to others. It’s almost as if ….. it is our “mission” in life. We can even SEE, the intended Purpose of a person’s life, and the Good that reside’s within them. NEVER would we want to squash, or dim that light. We might however, “if so pushed” teach you a highly valuable lesson. Meaning; Reveal to you ….. or Mirror YOUR true Nature. But do NOT think 🤔 that YOUR reflection that you are seeing …… is us, or “our” tendencies! Lol 😂
I believe they call this; Going “Super Nova.” I don’t get caught up, in all the mumbo jumbo ….. I just know how it all goes down. *I personally don’t advise it, because I feel it’s useless. Not the person …. But rather the process. I do not believe that outside of God, there is any hope for a narcissist. Period.
And MOST people have “trait’s” of narcissism, but that definitely does NOT make them narcissist. Not by a LONG shot!

I agree with you but in these channels there are always narcissists trolling and trying to blame the victims; he/she doesn't care about all you said, which is true by the way, but they cannot learn lessons; they lack humbleness and that is needed in any learning process. We all know they believe they know it all.

@@One1Luv new rule, you can generally tell when a narc comments. Scroll past it, they do not deserve your supply. If you can't tell, it's the person defending narcs or blaming ppl that are not narcs for narc behavior. Anyone in their right mind, wouldn't do that. They are a narc or an enabler. I'm an empath that became the silent one. Not from the beginning tho. I had no idea what a narcissist was. Not until I started to do my homework did I know that these people exist. Empaths will try to give people the benefit of the divine lol. They see light and try not to take this energy on but sometimes it's impossible. I know now but I had to learn.

  • @clearwaterwellnesslife
    @clearwaterwellnesslife 2 ปีที่แล้ว +39

In my experience, a super empath will use these tactics as LAST resorts. It is literally the opposite of how any empath wants to live. A super empath is not likely to choose this path if there are easier, healthier, and safer options available... like walking away. If feeling trapped, then will a super empath use up the immense energy and focus needed to "destroy" a narcissist. And the process can take months or years. AND let's not forget the process ALSO DESTROYS the super empath sense of wholeness, although temporarily. This is NOT as lovely as some people are making it out to be. I'm concerned people are trying to make this archetype a superhero. A super empath is not a super-hero. Often, they are also deeply wounded and just trying to go about their business and have gotten caught into the endless traps of a narcissist. It is a no-win situation. Unless someone enjoys fighting to a type of soul death, the best option is to get away. Far away.

I'm an extreme empath, confirmed by psychiatrists. This didn't make my life easier, rather harder because I tend to excuse behaviour for every possible reason. Now Im working on becoming a super empath that protects oneself.
Even though I knew my ex was a narc I stayed. I tried to ignore the signs. Blamed his childhood, just like he did .
At the beginning of our relationship I didn't react to his stupid arguments, at some point I started reacting to my narc ex. Fast forward 4 years I stopped reacting again. Started seeing a therapist etc and learned to have inner peace again despite being challenged or provoked.
One night nothing happened we spent a great evening out with friends, but he became extremely angry with me suddenly as soon as we were alone outside. I stayed calm and offered to talk at home. At that point he didn't even hear me. He was too furious. Fast forward an hour and 30 min ... he almost killed me hadn't people noticed what was going on.
*Be careful, don't ignore the traits narcs are displaying. It can cost you many years of your life or worse ... your life as a whole.*

As I started learning about super empaths, one person came to mind. He is a pastor who walked me through some difficult moments in my life. Everyone who was counseled by him knows how amazing he is. Now, watching that video, I am 100% sure he is one. He has sermons about how to deal with narcisists and knows the topic a lot. He dealt with many narcisist who wanted tryed to stab him on the back. And when we started our counseling, he acted exactly this way towards me. I would talk, he would observe, nod his had and tell me what I needed to hear. Within time, he noticed I was not only taking his exortations, but I also loved being in his office, even though he was harsh to me on ocasions. I ended up becoming close to his daughter and he is still one of my favorite pastors to talk to.

It's so true! Just before going no contact I was becoming indifferent to all the shenanigans. This chick would literally get in my face to read my emotions. I found that odd. Then I felt her staring at me in car rides in my peripheral vision. Honestly, it creeped me out, bc I could feel her panic. About 2 weeks after I ended a 14 yr illusion of a friendship.
Covid, really brought out another side of her, she was really fearful, but wouldn't admit it. Her behavior helped me piece everything together. She's done a lot of crazy things when I really think back, but this time I couldn't ignore her anger rising, that was also new to me.

I remember when me, my best friend (him) and a mutual friend with narcissistic tendencies (her) sat in a room - he was just sitting on the computer while me and her started discussing religion and we disagreed. Suddenly she got up and said "if you don't stop talking, I leave right now!". Then we all went to the entrance door and she began dressing, turned her back directly pointing away from me, addressing my best friend: "So (name), shall WE TWO go out for breakfast tomorrow?"
A very obvious attempt at excluding me as punishment for challenging her, to which my reaction was to laugh because it was just so childish and obvious. My best friend didn't take the bait of course, and she was mad at me for months afterwards. We became friends again for a while until last summer - then she got mad because I said no to eat ice cream with her on her way to a meeting that I was not going to attend. She still ignores me after 7 months. It's fairly entertaining once you look at it from an analytical perspective and already know not to trust them.

I just figured out at 63 years old and 32 years of marriage as a stay at home mom who raised 4 children who belittled me like their dad, that I'm an empath. I'm trying to figure out what to do now. No career, no money, just someone who tells me to quit spending money while I must create art to keep myself sane. He keeps badgering me to stop spending money. I buy stuff from thrift stores for clothing and watch where I spend money while he drives a $90,000 BMW, his second one, I drive a 8 year old Nissan which I love. He has a boat and a dock and we live in an expensive house which we could have gotten a much cheaper one. He has to have all the best but I have to watch what I buy. He says he loves me but looks at me like I'm stupid if I talk. He insists he doesn't do that, but has made me feel dumb here and there to keep me in my place. He recently told me to stop blaming him for everything. I told him ok, he was right. I am the one who is at fault.
I see it now but I don't know how to get out with no means and I am pretty crippled up from many back surgeries from all the physical labor I've done bearing and raising 4 kids while he traveled all over the world and I took care of things at home. I am beginning to get the picture that he really doesn't care about me down deep.

I totally disagree. There's no way you can be empathetic, empowered, and emotionally mature when you go about purposely ignoring other people seeking your attention because you think that they are the narcissist.
    Everyone is narcissistic.
Narcissism is on a spectrum- mild, moderate, or severe.
    Normal people are mildly narcissistic.
Emotional immature people are moderately narcissistic.
And NPD is severe; and can only be diagnosed by a professional therapist.

I respectfully disagree with avoiding. I do agree with not reacting. And eventually going no contact once you fully know that is what is going on. But we are not phycologists or drs. We are not qualified to diagnose a personality disorder. I also agree with poker face. But I don’t agree with avoiding. Often folks avoid resolving an issue the first time in order to not rock the boat. When in fact being passive and keeping things under the rug. Makes it worse in my experience. Especially if you’ve never tried to bring it up to them. A lot of these videos fail to Mention. That if they are a narc we will see repeated patterns of this behavior. I didn’t hear that here either. Especially if you’ve been in relationships for a long time and they do something that’s a red flag but have never shown it before. I would give them some slack and try and resolve it or let it go and see if they do it again. You could be assuming this about them and their character over a simple misunderstanding or two people just not getting along. This is why I disagree with taking such a drastic measure of avoidance. I would make sure first by paying attention to patterns before labeling them this way

Sometimes i laugh at the stuff my step kids father says. He is terrified of me. I'm really nice to him. Im just not pretending his fake world is true. Ignore him most of the time

This is called "grey rocking" and anyone can figure it out. I'm not an empath, I had no choice but to avoid my narc in this way. Ever wonder why we have narcs running around calling themselves empaths, spiritual teachers etc? They see videos like this and run with it.

Don’t worry the fake empathy the narcissist can only mimic (not feel) will give them away

I have lived with these kind of people my whole life my mother my sister my ex-husband my son even close friends and I have to ask a question is this all it is in this world for us to look at it does not matter what you do being perfect it's one of the hardest things that they can accept they will never find acceptance for someone that is willing I feel so sorry for these people and I feel sorry for the people that have to live with them I pray one day before I died that I will be able to live free of this time situation there is just no need in this stuff and I can understand why but all you really are is a spoiled brat and a bully you will never talk to respect yourself and the way that you think God willing not with the help of Someone Like You guys it is Hell getting helped if you know no one they don't even know what being a friend is anymore sad very sad I mean think about it what good are you?
