THAKS SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO! BEAUTIFUL NEIGHBOHOODS! HA, HA, HA, MORE THAN SHOWING US THE PLACE, YOU ARE DOWN THE MEMORY LANE REMEBERING YOUR LIFE IN THAT TOWN!
I just graduated from Port Moody Secondary School and I must say, this city is undeniably beautiful and has so many qualities but it's kind of lost it's charm. It is starting to become overpopulated. For example, St. Johns Road has a lot more traffic than it did around 10 year ago. Even though the city is starting to lose it's charm, it won't change the fact that Port Moody gave me the best childhood anyone can think of. So proud to call Port Moody home.
I graduated from PMSS in 2014 and we were still called the Blues back then, I'm not too sure about now though. Port Moody is definitely the best city out of the tri-cities :D
Port Moody seems like a nice quiet place to live. Very touching to see all the places where you grew up. Curious, but I noticed 2 car garages are common in Canadian homes. I am a spoiled American lol, who would prefer a 3 car gagarge. Which is common in newer homes here. I am a big car enthusiast, and like keep my cars indoors. I am far from ready to buy and have never been to Vancouver. However you're videos have helped give me motivation to work harder to eventually afford to live in Vancouver. Keep up the good work man 👊
This hits extremely close to home for me! xd I really like your work on summarizing and capturing shots of the neighbourhoods around here along with the additional notes of history and your childhood memories! If there’s one slight thing I’d have to nag at however, it’s that I’ve never really heard anyone call the “North Shore” neighbourhood by that or anything truthfully. Besides that minor point, the video was fantastic!
ArcticoFolf, I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed it. You didn't share why this video hit so close to home for you, though. Did you grow up in Port Moody or do you live there now?
Thank you Craig, this was informative and entertaining. I’m in the same boat about speedos, I can’t rock em like I used to haha. Memories are an interesting thing to relive as we age, I am happy to see you sharing the fond ones and reminiscing positively. I might have difficulty in my old hometown, I hope my own kids can think back as fondly on their youth as you. I’ll look but have you done a video about Coquitlam?
Hahahahaha. I'm happy you found it entertaining, K.B. I think your kids will definitely look back fondly on their youth. We take so much for granted when we are young and it is only with the wisdom of age and hindsight we see what those times in our youth really meant. I haven't done a video on Coquitlam yet. It is on my list to do, however.
This is a very special episode for me. I grew up in Port Moody so, not only are you going to find out what the top 5 neighbourhoods in Port Moody are but you'll see which house I grew up in, where I went to school, and what swim club I swam for. Don't worry, there's no footage of me in a speedo! 😂Grab you FREE market report here: bit.ly/GetYourFreeMarketReportNow
Good morning craig! I have a question for is better a townhouse or a duplex? My boyfriend and we are looking for a place, but we are not for too much maintenance of the house and some day I would love to adopt a cat. Is it true that in townhouse you can't have pets? The area that we are interest in are burnaby in the sfu and port moody 😀
@@vancouveritobeans7801, you can have pets in a townhouse fir the most part. It depends on the strata’s rules and bylaws. A half duplex is also a great option and you can definitely have pets in those. I recommend getting in touch with me and we can discuss your home search needs in greater detail. Thanks.
Awesome video! I am planning to move to BC still this year and initially my husband and I will rent out a place to stay for the first year to get to know few different areas around Vancouver. The first place that came into our mind is Port Moody and after White Rock. This video brought me exactly what I was looking for ! Thank you for this amazing work. But, I have a question, where are you living now? Or why did you decide to leave Port Moody? :)
Congratulations! I hope your move goes smoothly. I live in North Vancouver and have been for approximately 14 years now. I left Port Moody after I graduated high school.
I am in burnaby on the coquitlam border, am 19, and getting into the workforce soon. Do you think with the right kind of saving, I could eventually afford a small one bedroom in Port Moody? Will I have time before the market gets too pricy? I am mostly interested in the nature walks and low crime rate
Vaporvision, the fact you are only 19 and are already thinking ahead towards purchasing a property is amazing. Your parents should be very proud. I recently came across this terrific article about how to save for a downpayment which you may find useful. www.repmag.ca/news/how-to-save-for-a-down-payment-on-a-house-fast-334371.aspx
@@LivingInVancouverBC Thanks very much for your response. I want to get something going so I don't have to worry about renting all my life... I assume I'll end up spending much more money that way. I'll read up!
My elementary school teacher taught all of me and my 4 siblings, then still teaches at the same school where my niece attends. Hopefully he'll be her teacher as well.
New West is a great place to live as is Port Moody. It really comes down to your lifestyle and budget. Reach out to me at craig@craigveroni.ca. I'd be happy to discuss your home search needs in greater detail.

I used to live right across the water from where your intro is on alderside road:’)
If you still lived there you could've waved while I was filming! 😉 Thanks for watching.

I really want to move here from the UK, can I ask as I’m Turkic is it a welcoming place for non-Canadians, is there a diverse community?
Yes. Port Moody does have a diverse mix of people.
Nice video. You forgot to mention that Port Moody was suppose to be Vancouver the big city, but instead it became what it is.
I did talk about that at the beginning of the video where I talk about Port Moody's history. 👍
