- Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania campaign rally on Saturday night. Twenty-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, was identified as the shooter. We talk to Green Beret, sniper, Recon Marine, and author Clay Martin about what he believes happened that day. In the busiest few days of all time, Donald Trump has also had his trial dismissed and selected his VP, JD Vance. Yesterday, Jack Black announced on social media that Tenacious D's current tour will be canceled amid blowback against band partner Kyle Gass, who made a comment related to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump during a concert over the weekend.
Guests: Jimmy McCartney and Clay Martin (Martin served in the USMC and the U.S. Army. In the Corps he was in the infantry, a scout/ sniper, and a Recon Marine. In the Army he served as a Green Beret, with most of his career spent in 3rd Special Forces Group. He was also an operational detachment alpha communications SGT, intelligence SGT, and ended his career as a SFAUC instructor.)

@@cliftonmcmullen7167 I'm 33 been doing factory work since 18 and right now... at 33, the softest people I meet are 35-50. That is the most entitled, lazy age range that I've personally encountered in at work. Even when I was 24 I remember a guy named Mark who was 34 at the time and he was twice my size and he would complain about wrist pain from the job.
The "Rhee Tardy Oswald" line is proof that the best comedy comes from dark places. That one is gonna stay with me for a good while!
It's my belief that the essence of humor is incongruity, presenting or highlighting something that isn't how it should be or how we expect it to be. Dark comedy naturally has some of the greatest potential for incongruity. Of course, it also has the most potential for the unhinged to indulge their hatred and call it comedy.
For me, if your not using humor to heal or cope...your probly doing it wrong😂

Social media was the worst thing that could've happened to humans...
The biggest unacknowledged impact of Social Media is that people are able to be in a fantasy world of who they themselves are. This includes all types of people. A great example is 2A gun proponents who make it a massive part of their personality. You can't actually be one of those people and not be forming a militia 50 years ago if you take yourself seriously at all, but it's not real. It's people putting on a show so nothing actually happens. Just like another example, leftists acting like Trump was the devil on earth. If that were the case this wouldn't be the first attempt we've seen on Trump. People are really into putting out the idea of who they want people to think they are. Because of social media, nobody actually is guided strongly by who they "are" as a human.

Personally, I do not think Tenacious D's apologies were sincere or enough. I also don't believe it was an actual joke, like most of the liberal left bubble they live in they thought the media would carry their water and only veiled their thoughts in a joke. They lost me as a fan who has gone to their concerts and got their albums and films. Whilst I agree that there needs to be some reconciliation and de-escalation in politics if people don't make good faith efforts then their part isn't real and you are the only one giving ground and that's how they win. Both statements were generic and in my honest opinion written by a PR person not heart felt which is worse than not giving a statement of apology.
