Thank you for including WHEN the books come out. I always sit down to watch these videos with my Reading Journal in front of me so that I can write the ones that intrigue me down in the corresponding month and it is so much easier when the release date (or month) is included. I have started so many of these videos that do not mention at all when the books come out, only that they come out sometime in 2025.

Hi Jean! Happy New Year!! Well, almost. Let's see: Elodie Harper has Boudicca's Daughter coming out in August. I loved her The Wolf Den trilogy so am stoked for this one. Sarah Beth Durst of The Spellshop fame has The Enchanted Greenhouse coming out in July ... at least here in Canada. Martha Wells has Demon Queen coming out in October, a sequel to Witch King which I loved! I hope that we can get the next Juliette Marillier book in Canada as well. To not release it here would just be cruel!!!! I am eager for Naphthys as well. C.S. Harris has book 20 in her Sebastien St Cyr historical mystery series coming out in April which I cannot recommend enough!!!! Anna Lee Huber has her 13th Lady Darby historical mystery coming out in June and Laura Shepherd-Robinson has The Art of a Lie coming out in August, also historical mystery. There are probably at least 50 more books coming out in 2025 which I won't be able to live without but these few are highlights thusfar. Who needs food??? Amiright???

The Emily Wilde sequel is one that I'm looking forward to the most out of this list. I was disappointed when I got to the end of the first two books because I wanted more in the series and didn't want to wait for the next one.

I'm most excited for Silverborn (Nevermoor 4) - I know they've been putting it off for 4+ years but it's in editing so this time it's coming out for real, and Stag Dance by Torrey Peters (author of Detransition, baby)

Oh man legally blonde medieval au is a genius premise!!!!
Complete sidenote - do your anthologies of myths have content warnings in them by any chance?? I've noticed some collections have started doing that which is super handy, but no worries if not ofc!

@@jayciecarter2928 oh no they don’t! I’ve been including them in my fiction and adult nonfiction but it isn’t the MCL standard. However I’m compiling one right now for 2026 and I’m actually inspired to bring that up with them now so thank you!

I generally don't enjoy romance-novels but Medievally Blonde sounds and looks sooooo cool that I might just change my mind. Some of my most anticipated books by favourite authors are Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy, Owning It edited by Jen Campbel, Katabasis by R.F. Kuang and Kirsty Logans new collection. Also, Greenteeth purely based off its source-mythology

I look forward tot Ninshubar by Emily H. Wilson, to be published in August, I believe - loved Inanna and have yet to read Gilgamesh, but that will be solved in the next few months :)
Loved your recommendations! Will check out Emily Wilde, Medievally Blonde, The Message, The Amber Owl and Fulvia - there is just way too much good stuff to read, so I have to divide nu attention and also focus on books I already have :')
