Congratulations Don and Mela and Don's Dad for completing the electoral system . It was a lot of work .and along time coming but you guys did it . I am so happy for you guys . Mela sounds like you have something up your sleeve for Don 's birthday . I know it will be good !!!!
Bought my bus last month the day before my 39th birthday. It’s a 1972 Wayne International. Your videos are extremely helpful! I’m gutting and redoing the whole bus. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge as well as what you learn along the way. Maybe I’ll start sharing my adventure 🤣
Mela, I’m sorry you had to make such an emotional medical decision. I can’t imagine how hard that must have been. You are all woman and you are beautiful. If you decide to adopt, that child will be incredibly fortunate to have parents like you and Don.
Mela I repair antique furniture and when I have wood that looks lighter after staining, I mist chocolate brown paint on entire piece to help darken. I haven't had any complaints. This works well with different grain wood.
It's amazing how far your home has come...feels like it's only been a few months since you were tearing it apart. What day is your B-Day Don? Mine is the 11th and I just turned 51. Happy Birthday and great work on the electrical system.
I used to build test boxes for a space and defense manufacturer, and have wired miles of different sized boxes from refrigerator sized to bread box sized. I've used more crimping tools than I could count, including pneumatic crimpers. But I loved those blue crimpers you have! Thank you for the link, because I was very curious to see how much $$$$ they were! Oh, and happy birthday, Don! 🎈🎉🎂🥳🎊🍰
Awesome y'all have electricity Yayyyyyy so happy for y'all. Mela I am happy for you getting your surgery date hope all goes well in the mean time. Take care and god bless
I spray Fluid Film on all of the terminals to keep corrosion down. Battery bank has been clean for two years. And retorque the connections on a regular basis.
Great job on the electrics Don. Your right to mate, if you don’t know what your doing get a pro! You can watch and learn! Happy Birthday! Best of luck with your op Mela! 🇦🇺🍺🍺
Dont worry about your surgery, god is there next to ya, my wife went through that last year in August, I suggest that you invest in a bath/tub chair. and Don will need to do some bath things with ya to help you out. my wife is on that facebook thingy if you would like some advice or even support cause its hard on you and Don, i am sure ya have allot though, wife name is Christy. anyway yall are doing a great job, cant wait to see yall first trip!!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys are great! My Wife who is 23, myself who turns 30 in October just bought a 1985 Mci 96a3 last month. We are so thankful to have you guys sharing alll this great info. As we are not doing the same build we are using exact measurements and products through the whole bus. When we finish and get to whatever the next step we are at we watch a new video find the products on your blog and we order. That being said we are on our sheet metal process and we are going to our local metal supplier to get our metal cute, only thing is they asked a very vital question. Do we want 26 gage or 29, would you care sharing what you guys would prefer. Best regards from Kaitlyn and Taylor wood from Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
Are you going to put some sort of finish on those bed side cabinets??? Also do you start the bus frequently??? Will you start the bus now to recharge the batteries periodically???
Also, use the alternator on the bus. It will work as a generator for charging the battery when there is no sun and it will also charge while travelling...
Hi I'm A off-grid Canadian I was so impressed with your solar electric install I thought I would share a 45 yrs old idea Hydrogen on Demand HHO fuel manufacturing to suppliments your travel costs there are store bought conversions that would save you A fortune or home made fuel cells that take you off grid for diesel cost tons of good videos on you tube makes for good research imagine being able to save 80 percent of your diesel cost my name is Steve I feel like I know you thanks for the education Very take hydrogen on demand serious it is real
Hi you 2, I've been watching your build for a little while now, I went all the way back to your demo but didn't watch that, I've done that....I'm curious how your bus went from black to school bus yellow, I can't find any episodes where you painted it??? Good luck with your build, I can hardly wait to see the finished coach, BTW, I'm 72 and live in a 36ft Country Coach full time.........Paul
Hi Paul! It's in Season 2 in the demolition series. It was a black wrap we took off, the yellow color was under. We plan on painting it still, definitely not staying that color :)
Hows it going people just poped in to say giddy, I see alls fine. That's very serious cable sizes there mate I could run my 400 arch off that. Cheers for now Down under nz
Hi Paula, we run a network across 10GB Ethernet so we get speeds of 1,250Mbs where as WiFi can get you maybe 25Mbs so the answer is speed :) makes a huge difference when we are both editing videos at the same time across our network
No discount at this time, you just missed all their big sales at the end of 2021. But if there are any other sales we will post on social media - instagram and facebook
Don what is on the inside of your right formarm..if it is a burn OUCH..maybe it is a tattoo of the number 8? Keep up the awesome work all Mela hang in there we are pulling for "it" to be a non event :) Keep on keeping on!
Ha when you said the heat gun gets hot, alls i could think about is when I'm working in the garage at night in the winter i wear steel toed boots and use the heat gun to warm up the steel toes to keep my feet warm. And mela gets a haircut, but well share that with you next time.
You've got spammers attacking your videos. Those are the ones that are usually very short - they normally end in fyi or something similar. I've only started seeing them this week on vloggers i follow. You can block them - goggle the letters as text usage. I found one video by a guy who has a vlog who also tells you how to block them. Good luck!!!
I think your kitty is looking for rodents. Have you done anything to rodent proof your electrical bay cuz they will chew thru wiring BIG TIME!!! Also leaving the leash on kitty could be hazardous to their health!!!
Congratulations Don and Mela and Don's Dad for completing the electoral system . It was a lot of work .and along time coming but you guys did it . I am so happy for you guys . Mela sounds like you have something up your sleeve for Don 's birthday . I know it will be good !!!!

I have so enjoyed your build from the very beginning…. Your perseverance is inspirational and I m blessed immeasurably…. Thank you!!
You have done a very good job explaining and demonstrating how you put together the electric system.
Doing the entire electrical system is the most important time-consuming part of anyones build. Your system looks great, GOOD JOB.
Thank you!

Watching Don and Cory work on the electrical system actually gave me a headache!!! Is Cory available to hire??? 😳😳😳

It's in Season 2 in the demolition series. It was a black wrap we took off, the yellow color was under. We plan on painting it still, definitely not staying that color :)
I've never seen a bus conversion that used that thick of wiring. What are you using it for???
Are you making 220v with the different inverters?
Had not noticed the nose jewelry in any previous videos. Edit: And a Happy Birthday to Don.
👍👍

@@Rehabit8 Fair enough, video editing is rather data intensive. 🙂

Mela how can you let everyone walk on your flooring that isn't covered????
When we are living in the bus it’s a no shoe zone.
Ha when you said the heat gun gets hot, alls i could think about is when I'm working in the garage at night in the winter i wear steel toed boots and use the heat gun to warm up the steel toes to keep my feet warm. And mela gets a haircut, but well share that with you next time.
With all the whirring, why don’t you do a fo panel to hide all that
Gotta ask... did your Dad ever imagine that you would get deep into the world of construction and electrical?
You've got spammers attacking your videos. Those are the ones that are usually very short - they normally end in fyi or something similar. 23:44 This sucks!
Just a thought on your cupboard and draw latches have a look at the ones they use in this van: th-cam.com/video/jGEyJo8krfg/w-d-xo.html
Ah thanks for this! I saw these on an earthroamer the other day and was wondering where to find them! Cheers!
I think your kitty is looking for rodents. Have you done anything to rodent proof your electrical bay cuz they will chew thru wiring BIG TIME!!! Also leaving the leash on kitty could be hazardous to their health!!!
It’s not a hazard. They are always with a human watching them outside even if you can’t see the person on camera
