    The thing you call a wobble plate is actually called a swash plate and you can buy gasket kits for these compressors and rebuild them for like $25

    Times I've taken compressors apart on customers drives and rebuilt them with just a new gasket set and a couple of ounces of oil and it's good to go. And the customers don't realise how clever you are saving them a ton of money. Now with the new types of compressor there's no chance of a rebuild.

    Looks like it died a nasty death! Couldn't have been far from seizing as there as no oil in it. Great vid!

    Now I can see why they want 150 for a rebuilt one and 275-350 for a new one. Theres alot of precision machined parts there, plus valves, bearings and bearing surfaces. I can also see why when I used a NEW compressor, it worked so much better than a Rebuilt one. I have found that using the New ones are WORTH the additional 75 to 100 bucks!...its the diference between having 'so-so' cool air and Ice Cold Air! Longer warranty too.

      More350Power I have one that has completely shredded itself. It is not pretty. all the reed style valves are shredded and stuck into everything.

      @More350Power  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL !!! Never heard that one before..... Yea, it rattled and did not pump. Most of the oil leaked out onto the engine.

    how do rotary ac compressor repair... rotar body & vane , any solution..
    reply plz.

    • @More350Power
      @More350Power  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      automotivezone.in some cannot be repair, or I should say it may not be cost effective. This compressor was done. Most of them if in still good condition, the seals, bearings, reed valves etc can be replaced as long as there is no scoring. If I had a rotary vane compressor I could do a vid on it, will keep my eyes open for one, thanks !
