Great job!! The portal spinning is fantastic I Remember When I was 19 I played it for the very first time and didn't stop for around 5 hours, no command control just the freaking keyboard. ;).
Why do you think that a reboot would mantain the elegance and the superb soundtrack? This game was made in a simpler time of the gaming industry. A reboot now would mean it would be virtually unrecognizable, bearing only the name in common. Just look at that game that got cancelled, LoK: Dead Sun. Over the shoulder camera, mini map, quest line objectives.
It looks pretty bleak now, but I feel as though the industry is taking a turn, and people are starting to realize the beauty of simplicity, especially utilizing it as a vehicle for superb storytelling. Dead Sun, from what I've heard some devs say, was a disaster from the start. If they could start from the ground up without resorting to the useless and over busy tropes of the current industry, and make a true classic action platformer with tight controls and great visuals, people would most definitely play it, especially with such a fleshed out universe still ripe with potential.
But if he did choose to sacrifice himself, having been the last surviving Vampire, it would've meant a far more devastating end to the Pillars and, therefore, Nosgoth. Even if it wasn't his original intent, his pettiness saved Nosgoth from irredeemable collapse.

Raziels final sacrifice was the epitome of free will in the world of Nosgoth. And he did it on his own terms, which no one could anticipate.
