Thanx guys! We are new but been on the delta for 30+ years. Went out yesterday. was tough, but used your tips. Got 15+ with two over 5+. I appreciate what you do!
Hi Guys, great content and great information. I have been fishing the delta for a few years and never approached it this way, I can't wait to get out there and try some of your ideas and methods. I really think that this will open the door for many of us to be more successful on the Cal Delta. Thanks again
I have been fishing a few years now but not bass.. So,, I am a rookie to bass fishing. By watching your channel, I learn a lot and decide to give it a try this time. So my only suggestion is when you said swim bait or any other baits, it would be helpful to show us. Thanks in advance. Your channel is awesome.
Great job on a good bag! Your channel rocks and love the attention to detail. The Delta is one of the best fisheries around and planning more trips this year, so every bit helps!
It depends on a lot of different variables like water color, lure I'm throwing, etc. For a senko I like straight 15-17lb flourocarbon in all water colors. A frog and punching are the only two things I will use 65lb braid. Any other topwater I'm using 20lb mono. Hope that helps a little.
It is actually a 6 inch Bass Pro Stick O in Purple Brown color. I picked that darker color because the water has a brown stain to it. In cleaner water I'd go with Green Pumpkin.
@@TheBassHookup Thanks! That makes sense. I think I only own the green pumpkin, watermelon, and black variety at the moment. Would you use black in that water condition?
Great question. I don't know if it matters but what matters for me is boat control and lure placement. I like to get the boat going against the current so I can go as slow or as fast as I want. If it's going with the current more oftentimes I'm fishing too fast. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the reply... I follow a bunch of different TH-cam channels for fishing.. (Greg Blanchard, Tactical Bassin, In Deep on the Delta...etc... what I find that is really helpful is when they show what actual lure they use, color, technique and equipment (rod, reel, line). Do you plan on doing some videos that also focus on some of that stuff? You guys do a great job already, just wondering if you have that planned. Also, how do my friend and I get involved in local amateur bass tournaments? I’m a teacher, he is a sheriff, so we probably can’t do a bunch of tourneys, but we might be interested in getting in a few tournaments a year (Delta, Folsom, New Melones). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks again! Nick
@@sliknix3165 we do try and talk about what we are throwing but will try to do better at showing the bait more and we do plan on doing a lot of side by side underwater comparisons with different baits/techniques. I'd say a really fun delta circuit is a night time circuit out of Ladd's Marina. I believe they start in May and they are every Wednesday. Start at 4pm and fish till 9pm. Another club that is a good fun club and have tournaments all over is Bass Anglers of Northern California (BANC). Best Bass Tournaments is a circuit that fishes everywhere and is a lot of fun as well.
Love the videos bro, I used your tips and advice this past Monday. Sunny day but was able to bag 14 pounds. Those sparse Tully’s were hitting with a 1.5 square bill in craw color . Never really looked at it like that, I always would just fish down the big walls of Tully. Keep The content coming!

Happy to see some local guys show us how to fish the delta. Very difficult area to fish as the delta changes though out. Thanks again
Lots of good info. Thx for sharing. Much appreciated 👍
These videos are some of the most helpful for new guys I’ve seen. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for the advice. Your approach is really good.
Great video! Do you use a weighted hook for your senko?
Nope, totally weightless. Thanks!
FIRST! Thanks for the Delta tips!
Thanks, we appreciate you sir!
I love going to the Delta, one or two trips a year, but have always found it very hard. Your videos help a lot! Thank you

We have plenty more coming up. Thank you for the support!
Thank you for the videos. I been struggling to figure the delta out. I really enjoy any info you can give.

Good stuff man, liked and subbed!
What line would you recommend using for fishing the delta, straight braid?, braid to flouro leader? etc.

@@wdh1068 yes black is always good early in the year. Typically by late March the water starts to clear and we'll go to the Green Pumpkin colors
Great videos...does it matter if you throw your lure and reel it back with the current or is it better to reel it back against the current?

What was the orange jig? Looked like a spinnerbat? what was that manufacturer: zako trailer?
We make those swimjigs and there isn't anything like em out there that I know of. I had a 3.3 kietech as my trailer.
