Hello Christian. Thank you for watching! I would appreciate the opportunity to earn your business. Please contact me directly at revcycling@gmail.com and I will get your order going for you. Cheers!
I have tried SMP saddles in the past and currently have one on my new bike. (It was what I had on hand and would fit since my extra preferred saddle has carbon rails.) I know exactly what she means by them being too firm at the cutout. My hypothesis is that it narrows down so much that it puts extra pressure. I've tried to adjust them but, they are also very finicky to placement. They really lock you into one spot. They are not the saddle for anyone who moves back to climb and forward when dropping the hammer.
I disagree wholeheartedly with you. I know in an instant if a saddle is good or not. I don’t need a 70 mile ride to prove anything. Same as a bike I can tell in the first few pedal strokes how it feels and how it handles. You should learn to acquire those skills. 😊
@@SeeYouUpTheRoad seems opposite to me. Seems like they feel great at first. It’s only when I get deep into the ride when things get sorted. No offense. I rode that saddle for a long time. My comment is not even about the 612.
@@TheRickysee I’m not taking offense. But there’s something wrong with your approach to the first five minutes of evaluating your saddle or whatever. You should know instantly if it’s a go or if it’s a no go. Furthermore, and this will definitely surprise you, I haven’t test ridden a bike before buying it in 20 years. I buy the frame I want and build it up.
So at 130 +2, what does she need in the SQ, 150? According to that guy Neil on Cam Nichols channel, SMP is god's gift and the answer to almost all saddle problems.
I have ridden SMP saddles but I prefer the SQ Lab saddle. Side note - I find Neil extremely annoying. A know it all and I find myself disagreeing with him often.
Thanks for sharing this George. I am going to test out a 612 Active 13. If it works out, I’ll be ordering one from you!

I’ve tried SMP in the past. They seem ok. I just don’t think they will work for me in Ultras
But the test of a saddle happens at the 70 mile mark not in the parking lot 🤷🏻that’s what makes it so difficult 😥

Since i use sqlab saddels, all my seat problems are belonging to the past. Best saddle ever. Shame that it is quote unknown and underestimated. Peter

@@SeeYouUpTheRoad I'm with you 100% regarding Neil.
I have a couple of SMP saddles. They are very good, but not my preferred saddle.
