The Soviet set was bundled with a t34 like in the picture. I got the figures and tank earlier this year. It was a great deal so I’m assuming it’ll be the same for all nations. 50 bucks and you get a tank and 5 resin troops. Sounds great to me
@@_Jaspy_ Be careful here when ordering. There is a set with Tank and figures (BT-027) and the figures only (BR-004). I compared prices here in germany and the set with the Tank just costs 8€ more.
Two great sets. And yes, I'd also like to see British and American tank riders. Also, there are several good kits of the M3 half-track and the SdKz 251. How about riders for the half tracks ?
$60 for the T34/85 & 5 resin figures when it was first released in May. Couldn't pass that deal up @ the time. They also released a Nashorn with 4 figures @ the same time.
Nice review! Would love to get these kits. Have built two of their Panzer IV kits and they are wonderful. Border should do an early Sherman M4 or M4A1 with troops..(please, no more Ez-8's. We have plenty of those now)😁
This is going to be a must buy as I need to make a T34 (or maybe a second STuG) and they seem fabulous. From my past experience from Border, I know the quality will be up there for a decent price. Thanks for the news Hank!
if you can't wait for a set to come out from them they already have a kit released with figures and tank BORDER BT027 T34/85 , The bonus is 5 brand new resin Figures! this kit is already out
Nice combination and poses for PG. It's not clear from online images I've seen what period uniform is represented. Looks like 1942-43? What's your view?
First start with modeling, starter kits aftger moving to new house...i need a ton of tools first :)...oh and also some experience under my belt ;) Always nice to watch your videos Hank!!
Wait other countries fought in World War 2, i thought it was only Germany and America? I would be happy to have some modern figures as long as they were American!
There's definitely a need for high quality 1/35 figures. I prefer figures that are not in combat poses so I'll pass on the German figures and I'm no longer building Soviet models so I'll pass on that set as well. But if they bring other offerings I'd be interested.
Good looking kits! Any word on any 1:48 scale stuff? A lot of tabletop games like myself use 1:48 scale models (armor, trucks and even planes) in our tabletop gaming. The catalog for 1:48 is small in comparison to 1:35 stuff...just food for thought.
That would be cool if they'd do that in 1/48th for sure! Or at least take a look at possibly bringing 1/72nd WW2 kits up to today's standards... We used to play a game called Battalions in Crisis in 1/72nd, 1/87th, and 1/100th all mixed together because we couldn't find units needed in the preferred scale of 1/72nd. Either there were no models of the units or the quality of them was so bad, the smaller scales were more visually appealing and pleasing and we could get them in the quantity wished for or needed. Would love to play it in 1/48th, but I fear the battle board would need to be 12' x 8' instead of an 8' x 4' for the smaller scales. However, I also play Warhammer 40K Apocalypse and am accustomed to large table sizes but others in my group could be very overwhelmed. In a different group we played a 16' x 12' table where the "off-board" artillery was actually "on-board" (because we had the room for the 155mm and 105mm batteries for the US Army and the German Army to have 4 of each gun on on each side)! That game was a blast! (No pun intended, just so happened to catch it before posting). But this is why I'm so excited in all the advances and breakthroughs in manufacturing for all the 1/35th scale stuff because we all know it'll get to the smaller scales sooner than later, meaning (for me at least) I can still build and collect my 35th armor and 48th aircraft for building and displaying, and wait a bit longer until I can rebuild my 72nd "gaming pieces" that will look good on their own, without having to take out a second mortgage, spend the kids college funds, sell a kidney, or any of the kids just to be able to stay in the hobby... So thank you very much for sharing this with us. There is hope for the future indeed.
Hi Hank Border models have been releasing complete kits with the figures included for such a cheap price that it’s not really economical to just pick up the separate figure kits. The T34/85 BT-027 for one! I’ve got their Bt-005, BT-006, BT-008, BT-020 and BT-024 kits as well which all include 2-4 figures in my stash pile. The figures look really fantastic though!!
For using Vallejo paint, if it’s Air just point a few drops of the paint and flow improver into your air brush and your good. The other Vallejo paints use thinner and flow improver along with the paint, does that sound good? If you use another please let me know, thank you
Hi, Hank. recent years GeckoModel released series US paratroopers figures sets.(35GM0041/42/43/44) Seems they arever nice kits. Do you have a chance to review or comment on those ones?😊
I bought them last year, the figures themselves look really great, as do tge weapons and separate gear items. Plus that little cart and scooter. I also bought the weapon & gear kit. I haven't built them yet though.
We have a little bit different problem. No one making the riding troops. Only Master Box did-they made a kit named "Off to the front". I'm trying to find the same kit or similar but even Dragon and Tamiya doesn't have it. So, I hope, the Border's guys will make something good and high-quality thing P. S. I got the one of the last kit, but it is not enough. I want to make a diorama and put em into L4500r maultier and hanomag but 6 guys isn't enough😢
“The detail on Miniart figures isn’t as crisp as on e.g. Tamiya figures?”I don’t know on what grounds you make that statement.😃 I own over a dozen of Miniart figure kits and over a dozen of Tamiya figure kits. The modern Tamiya kits are very good, detail wise, but Miniart is at least at the same level.
