I have never done a epoxy floor before but i want 1 so im gonna give it a go and installing one my self Watching you guy gives me confidents. Keep up the good work
Do it man. I recommend Sunshine Supply Co if your in Cali
It will crack in time. Epoxy has no give so it cracks
Cheap and thin epoxies will crack but industrial grade applied at the correct thickness has amazing tensil strength and flex. This is exactly what we sell👍
doesn't the flex in the floor cause the epoxy to crack?
We recommend reinforcing the seams with fiber tape and applying our patcher paste over the tape. Then, flood the floor at 45 ft per gallon before doing your finish coats. This will reinforce the substrate, but it's always good to ensure it is solid before coating over. Here is a link to this process- th-cam.com/video/C3-NuJf1dH8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=B6Mn8yjRMOVFHVDM
One of the best if not the best floor coating video on TH-cam!
Thanks for the wonderful comment and for watching the video.
Love this for my home even!! It's seems durable and simple to upkeep. Thank you
It really is! Thanks for watching!
My favorite part is how you can still see all the seams of the plywood! 👍
Hahaha right
They did a new video recently. I was surprised. Like amazing now. I just wonder how the life of the product would be
Looks like you have done this once or twice before. WOW!
What did you use to patch between the ply?
Yes I would love this for all my floors
I have a room with a floor like this. I want to remove the carpeting and just paint it. My problem is I have to not deal the one panel. It is how I access the hvac system. What suggestions to you have? This floor is in the master bedroom.
i just bought a 14x20 GARAGE/BARN/STORAGE SHED with 3/4'' Tounge & groove plywood floor.. What is the most simple way to coat this floor so if i spill oil/gas/ or anything liquid it will wipe up. id rather not have my BARN storage ect. smelling like gas .. THANK YOU AND LOVE THE VIDEO..
Your in the right place, flake floors are great for shops and easy clean up!
Can I possibly do this using MDF on a stage?
What kind of magic shoes are wearing !!!!!!!!!!
He is wearing spiked shoes so he does not track the epoxy everywhere and when he step off the epoxy will self level. Thanks
Well, it sort of isn't technically a wood sub floor right? It is wood of course but it is laid over a hard solid surface so there won't be any chance of flex. I'd like to know if you can lay down epoxy over a normal wood sub floor?
Same here and I could have learned that in a minute and a half of instructions they didn't start talking are showing for 2 minutes I don't mean to put him down it's just aggravating when you ask for video about something and they throw this at you
Honestly I seem to not be able to find anyone who has done it.
I'd say just do it. Worst comes to shove it cracks and you have to lay down plank over it
I haven't yet, but I would guess you would have to lay another subfloor perpendicular to the first subfloor and no overlaying seems. With more screws than normal. Goal is to stop as much movement as you can even though the wood wants to move underneath. Then use a good bonding primer then base coat of paint.
I've laid a lot of tile floors and used lots of hardi and cement board. and the principal applies there for movement and no cracks (minus the bonding primers).
sick lol and that 0ne guy that did the flake's was like a bobcat
I love it. I really want something like this floor in my kitchen. How this floor called?

@@LeggariProducts thank you so much 😊
Could you tell me what kind of primer should I be using if I have an old wooden floor in my kitchen that has no stain on it no polyurethane or anything it’s raw I want to put epoxy over but I’m afraid the epoxy is kind of soak right into the wood!!!!!!
You'll definitely want the floor prepped well! In your case, it'd be best to sand the floor and do a layer of epoxy before doing the epoxy floor coat. Definitely call our team if you're interested in using our products and they'll help you with your project support.leggari.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Please tell me what this material is called. You put it in after the epoxy. Then you sweep the rest so that the floor is not smooth.
I love it 🙏🏻👍🏻
Thanks!
Wow brilliant job guys and you made it look so easy👌👌👌
What is the product that you used to fill cracks, joints and holes in the wood?
Probably just wood filler
Great job guys...
Hi, take a look at our online brochure. Thanks

@@LeggariProducts
Please note... Even though it's been 2 months since I watched this video...
I have been waiting for my Title on an old 1985 Class A RV... it has wooden subfloors.
I really want to do this method...
You need to know, that I watched 3 of your videos in order about applying your beautiful epoxy.
The fist video I watched was "Metallic Epoxy Coating/ over a wood sub floor tutorial ...
Please NOTE: I love all of your videos but this one was the WORSE video you have... It did NOT look like
Marble at all... the guys did NOT "Feather" out the lines, and it looked like stone, on a patio... (Please take this video down)
(It hurst your reputation... Leggari is super professional... this Video is NOT. If I had only watched this video... I would not think
to buy from you, feeling I'd end up making my floors look like stone pavement, instead of marble...
Thank goodness I found these other 2 videos...
The 2nd video I watched: Luxury Epoxy Flooring over wooden subfloor... It was GREAT... I don't expect anything less...
The 3rd video was this one that I'm watching now... Which in my opinion is the very BEST...
I have "Flipped" over 25 Houses or RVs in the last 20 years... I have never used epoxy on a floor... This is new to me, but I love it. I am 64 years old, and this last 1985 Class A RV will probably be my last... (I say that every time... LOL)... I want it to look Spectacular. It is in such bad shape (Very Old, and UGLY) that everyone around me thinks I"m crazy to even touch it.
All I see is a Blank Canvas....
My question is this... Can I do this application in an RV? It needs to be flexible, I would think...
Thank you for taking the time to read this... and sharing your great videos...
I was thinking of doing this on my middle (main) level. Mostly bc the wood floors creak when walked on and its very loud in basement. Do you think this adds any noise damping benefit vs stardard wood or vinyl plank flooring? Also Should i look to make sure my sub floor is 3/4 inch?
You will want your wood surface to not have any flex in it our you will have problems with the epoxy cracking.
@@LeggariProducts
OHHHH Snap... That is a problem for me... I want to put this in my Class A RV... it needs to be flexible.
I'm very sad.
The wood floors creak because they weren't glued down before they were screwed down. Or possibly the glue is so old it's not working anymore. Find the screws and lift up the boards and put down heavy amounts of glue. It's in big tubes and you use a caulking gun. It will cost like twenty dollars for a small room and then put the subfloor back down and reapply the screws. Then put your flooring back down.
It will take time but so worth it.
Can you do this but on mdf floorboards . I’ve taken off my carpet and there are mdf boards under it .was hoping there was timber floorboards but now I have to seal the mdf to waterproof as it is bare ,and am wondering what is a good thing to cover them with like get some timber boards and put them on top and polish them or those diy laminate waterproof packs you can get which are easy . Or can I just do something like this with an epoxy finish .Am after a hard wearing waterproof finish . Thnx for the great vid too 👍🏼

Does the epoxy tear if placed on a wooden floor if that floor shifts like the slightest bit or does stay in shape without damage?
This is what I want to know. That issue is why epoxy is not recommended over wood. That isn't answered by this video
where are you guys located?
Would this be okay for upstairs in a home?
Yes! You want to ensure the floor is solid, even, and level but with proper prep, you can coat nearly any flooring substrate💯 check out this kit and others like it here! 👉leggari.com/order-flooring/
You mentioned in one of your 2018 videos that your working on how to do the epoxy over tile on a backsplash. Wanting to learn how to apply the epoxy over old tile backsplash so I can then order you kits for complete kitchen and bathroom counter tops.
Thanks enjoy your video tutorials.
Email leggari@gmail.com with a picture of your tile backsplash so our tech can take a look at it. Thanks
Hey I wanted to know if i have laminate can i sand down and do the same to it?
For laminate flooring, it is best to remove the laminate and coat the subfloor beneath if possible. Our flake floor kits are designed to last so it is best if they are installed over a substrate that will last.
Can you do liquid art on plywood too or just this heavy chip since the mica hides everything but can you do the granite metalic epoxy on jt
Can you achieve a hardness which is suitable for a car driving over this type of floor regularly without causing damage to it (e. g. by stones sticking in the tire tread)?
Interesting. I'd like to do something simple, but very durable like this, but over concrete. I wonder if the price goes down if you just want something basic (visually) like this. It would be for our garage.
Awesome and inspiring. Just what I needed to see before I begin work on my floors. Thank you!
Did you do your floor
@@israfil1534 Hi! No I decided to hold off as I am going to sell my home in next few years. Most people don't appreciate art. They seem to want carpet and basic soulless bland decorating.
Your video caught my eye because in 1990 I lived in the projects.
The only place I could afford ($236/month) had basically decades-old peel-off tile. The duplexes were actually used circa 1950s as a former Air Force Base for housing privates and the married enlisted.
So it was in very bad shape but I was allowed to do absolutely whatever I wanted to fix it up.
I painted the floors a funky fuchsia and then sealed w a clear top coat of laquer. It was ....to this date.....my most favorite place I have lived.
Your video reminded me of a very happy time in my life where I was super creative. ❤️
Is it slip resistant? And if so how long before you need to add more material before slip resistance wears out?
I need to know if this is applicable to the floor of a Mobil home.

About how much is the cost per square foot for exact job. What is the expected time needed to complete the job including total cure time? Do you have sample materials for customers to look at as far as the choices of inclusions added like different color Mica flakes and pigment choices? I am only familiar with torgonal. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
Typically the cost per sq ft for flooring including shipping and a top coat comes out to $2.25-2.75 per ft. For domestic US customers. A countertop kit will cover up to 50 sq ft of countertops and costs $432 including shipping for people within the U.S. Below is a link to order a sample kit. Thanks

Amazing!!! I have chip board closet doors in metal frames that have plastic on the top. Any idea if I could I do something like this on the closet doors???
I'm trying to do this with my film / photography studio. how would I get a very smooth finish. like glass. ? I see this is very nice but has a bumpy look to it. how would a guy get it glass like smooth?
We have 3 different top coat options. Glaze coat is our super high gloss top coat that lays out glass smooth just like the metallic epoxy coat. Our WB Urethane comes in high gloss and leaves a minor texture and we also have a WB Urethane that’s a Matte/Satin finish.
Looks like the flakes gave it that texture. Those would be smoothed over with the topcoat but still there to some extent. No flakes and it should be pretty smooth even before topcoat.
Is this product low voc by any chance?
Le champion good job
Thanks!
Nice job, what's the drying time on it
I want heated floors so I'm thinking of installing the heating element under thin plywood, 1/4"; So can I put epoxy over it?
@Russell g its not that bad of an idea, he should
Can you give me a list of all materials..

Hello! What should I use to ground laminated chipboard tops? Recently I made a table in a similar way as you do after 15 minutes, the eyes appeared like a lack of adhesion of the epoxy resin. What could be the reason? greetings

What kind of primer is that?
Is everything included in the kits?
Our primer is a water based epoxy specifically designed to chemically bond to almost all smooth surfaces. And yes the primer comes in the kit. Thanks
Do people rent it out to come in and make their food?
That was machine like broadcasting....awesome 🤙
Thanks Victor for watching the video
Where to you get all those materials? I can't find any....
Great job guys. I have a project I'm working on and I really need help with it. It's a 8000 sqft wood floor warehouse, want to do dark gray Epoxy. Can you tell me how to Prep it. Two different session of the floor, plywood and Hardie board.
You can email leggari@gmail.com with your question and our techs will help you out or you can contact our techs at 844-534-4274 Ext 1. Thanks
What kind of patching material you guys use it
You can use Bondo multi purpose putty from Home Depot to fill cracks and holes.
Crushed it. Numero uno.could I do that in my personal home I mean from a to z.just curious?
Yes you can, we made the process for DIY'ers through our tutorial videos on our website that show you step by step the process. Thanks
To add to that wood expands and contract with weather change. More so in a home than at a commercial location. Does the process shown allow for this to happen to prevent buckling in the floor from the wood expanding? Also are these kid proof?
As the application to countertop, does the floor shall be leveled?
How much a project like that cost? More or less??
Is this water resistant? Can u power wash it?
Yes it is water resistant. Once the epoxy cures it is 100% sealed.
You need a drone headlight like the new Audi:)

WHt did you use as a top coat?
He used a urethanes top coat. Thanks
I'm confused as to how they can walk in it and not leave marks
Spike shoes that elevate us above the resin. We sell them on our website. Leggari.com thanks
Did you add anything to the epoxy to make the floor not slippery
Our urethane top coat comes with a part C which is grit and if you add it to the urethane it will give the floor more traction. Thanks
Whats the durability time

How many top coats?
You just need to apply one urethane top coat over the product.

We add our part C grit to our urethane top coat to give it better traction.
