I had this season ranked #7. The cast for this season is so fantastic to watch this season, and there's a lot of memorable characters. A lot of the early didn't get a loot of screen time, but I really don't mind that at all if they don't make it far. The pre-merge mainly is there to help build who will be the bigger players in the merge like Adam, David, Jay, Zeke, etc. One we hit the merge, we go full steam ahead into blindsides and chaos. I thought the steal a reward advantage was probably put to as good of a use as it could've in this season, and the way the idols were hidden and found this season were very nice. Plus, I really enjoyed how David even made a fake idol along with a decoy coconut to hide it in. Adam along with the story of his mom make for very compelling television in this season, and I had absolutely no problem with him or David winning down the stretch. I felt Hannah could've had a shot too considering how many moves she orchestrated late in the game, but her fatal move was getting rid of Bret over David at 5. Because if she got rid of David there, then she could've realized Adam was the next favorite to win, and she could've gotten rid of him at four. I also respected people like Ken and Will throughout the season, plus Jessica and her brutal vote out is absolutely insane. Michaela's blindside was also a big highlight in this season. In my opinion, this season just has so many highlights throughout the season, and it's hard to really find any votes that were entirely clear cut. The players on this season played hard, and they all helped create a fantastic season of television for Survivor. This was the first season in my top 10 to be listed, and it holds up quite well.
This was the season that really got me back into Survivor. I tapped out after One World upon going to college (missing a lot of good seasons in the process). Had Game Changers been the first season I had watched upon returning I probably wouldn't be sitting here typing this.
This was the first modern season that got me into survivor when I stopped watching it as a kid. I had some roommates watch some around me but wasn't super interested. I love this season sooo much. The characters, the strategy, and the story archs. It's surprising but somehow wraps up very nicely. Probably a top 5. I'm rewatching now for the 3rd or 4th time.
All the comparisons of Millennials to Gen X is also frustrating because when Gen X was the Millennials age the Baby Boomers would also complain about them being slackers and not hard working in the 90s. So that part of the Gen X demographic personality was ignored.
Cleaning my house to move out guess I’m listening to this 4+ hour podcast hehe and I looooved this season. It was the first one that got me sucked into Survivor after not seeing it for years it’s def top 10 for me
I love this season so much. It's probably a top 5 for me. I'm now rewatching it for the 3rd or 4th time. The characters are amazing with David, Zeke, and Jay being my favorites. The winner is very inspiring and I think he's underrated as a player. Actually I was a little disappointed the first time I watched it but the more times I rewatch the more I like Adam. It's just a fun season with a lot of great moments and great strategy.
MvsGx is a top 10 season for me. Great cast, the most fluid game in the history of the show. Unlike David vs Goliath, the players wanted to play a fluid game post merge, it wasn't forced by one side using advantages to get the other dominating side to change their steamroll strategy. The finale was probably the best in modern survivor history with no clear winner till the David vote. I still think the Amazon should be lower than top 11, I see you "ROB"😂.
Yeah Amazon really is too high. It's not in my top 10. Lol But I get its Rob and RHAP fans will be bias towards it so I won't be surprised its around 6-8.
Hannah keeping David until final 4 was obviously too big of a risk but the reason she might have feared Bret would take her out the next vote is probably because in her mind Adam was a goat who everyone would want to sit next to. Of course that's not true but the whole food fiasco with Taylor and Hannah seeing Jay and Zeke both call Adam arrogant probably molded her perception that this is the guy to bring to the end. So she might have assumed Bret's read was the same as hers. Her read on him and the whole jury was off though, as she had been pegged ( unfairly) as a goat most of the merge. Credit to Adam because if he doesn't have good relationships he probably is a goat after being involved in something centered around food theft
Not gonna lie, listening to this while working and having the dog bark keeps scaring the crap out of me every so often 😂😂 keeping me awake though lolol
millenials vs gen x was my first ever season, so I have an emotional attachment to it. I really wish it was higher on the rankings. (btw I'm 14 and a super fan)
To me, Hannah’s game kind of falls apart at the Brett vote as she doesn’t recognize both David AND Adam are threats to win, she kinda needed both of them out 5th and 4th in whatever order. A Hannah, Ken and Brett final 3, surely Hannah wins in that scenario right? I think she got lost in her own perception of Adam’s game being messy (which it was but clearly that wasn’t a concern for the jury) while also not recognizing how her own game was being perceived by the jury. So the way I see it, Hannah’s downfall was simply not knowing her jury.
It actually wasn't hannah, adam, or Ken according to Adam, it was the jury and their reactions when Bret was voted out, Adam pointed out their reactions and how moronic they thought they were. He was also the one who made SURE that David didn't win final immunity. Credit overall goes to Adam. Plus, Hannah's case that she got out David has a lot less legitimacy when she voted to keep him last tribal. Plus, Hannah doesn't have good jury management like Adam did. He did a very good job hiding his cards and his relationships with people on the jury, which Hannah didn't know
How did WaW made it to top 10? Is it because of the Tony win? Because the pre merge was a clusterfuck of disappointment and the merged was average at best.
In my opinion, the cast alone makes it iconic enough to be in the top 10… but that’s just me. I understand the complaints with the edit and boot order (though I don’t think it’s the editors fault… there was just way too much going on)
This panel was hilarious, I don’t think I’ve laughed this much at top 40 until now

dude its crazy how this was literally me too. MvGx was the entire reason I got so into survivor again, and I also dropped off around 20-22

This is one of my all time favorite seasons! So many great characters and IMO Adams winner story is the most touching story told in Survivor
not really adam used his mom as a sympathy card the entire season
im sorry about your mom but you knew he was using it as a card to get further in the game.
@@b.herdlein8764 no? He only told Jay nobody else knew until the very end so I don’t think that’s accurate at all.

Same!
Imagine Millennials vs Davids vs Gen X vs Goliaths.
vs Hustlers

What if the David's are just like 4 David Wrights

Idk when David vs Goliath is coming, but someone needs to tell T-bird to get Alec Merlino for a talking with t-bird for that season!
Pretty sure Taylor's mason jar comment is supposed to be about weed
I don’t know if you know this… but you can put your weed in there

Philippines deserved top 10. Amazon, Tocantins and winners at war should be the next ones
Nah. Name ten things Philippines had over those other seasons.

KIRSTEN, 🇨🇦 FELLOW CANUCK, MICHAELA IS ON THE CHALLENGE. ALSO MICHELLE, (WAW). NEXT MONTH, 11th.

Nah. WaW was epic. Best winner ever playing a dominant game through the toughest field ever, by far.
I think you have a good point, but in my opinion it's the best of all time from the final 9 onward. That alone should put it very high on the list.
Ok be honest is Survivor Amazon actually this good or was it ranked high because of Rob
Definitely Rob. Also why All Stars was 24 when it probably should have been ranked in the 30-35 range
I think we got the top 10 right. Good job to everyone who voted!
12 out of the 15 seasons I’ve seen are in the top 12!! I only watched the good ones lol
