It’s incredible to see how much the community has grown these past couple of years, as well as all the wickedly talented people who have contributed their own projects to it. Thank you for growing and facilitating such a wonderful place and here’s to the future! (Also woah that camerawork)
Great community update! And congrats to Ampersand for winning the competition. It was fun to be a part of that. I've learned so much from the community lately! It's nice to see everyone's hard work and projects! I heard Cartboy Zero was a new project that would be worth featuring. 😉👍
I am I all for making everything easier but that takes the fun a way. When I finished my minty pi I was so happy that my 3 Month long project was finished
I'm gonna need a new build guide for the mintypi now, it's changed so much since I've seen that vid that there's no way my little brain's calculating that one out.
V3 looks absolutely awesome, definitely picking up one of these kits! Finding a packet of Altoids in Australia is going to be a little tricky tho haha..
I regret not going to school for electrical engineering. At the time I wanted to party, so math was a no go. Now I work in an extremely technical job I have to learn how to do stuff like this on my own.
For the charge circuit I would let her know she should keep it at .5amps simle reason is for longer life of the battery. I know its slower but it will helf with longer life of the battery. In my option. Awsome channel too.
I am just the average consumer, and an extreme admirer of your work and this community. I do not know how to build these on my own, nor do I have the tools to do so. So I was curious, when you do eventually open to sell these products, will you ever sell one that is completely made and does not require construction?
Hey wermy, i was wondering for when the new version of the minti pi comes out you could sell everything in like a kit instead of buying all the parts seperately, love the vids keep it up!
I’m doing a lot of research into the mintyPi and RaspberryPi because my friends and I are developing games for PC with no way of letting others test the games. Our idea was to make our own handheld console with the games built in. Bring it to conventions or letting others we know playtest
This is an awesome channel! Question: Have you looked into the Retrostone by 8bcraft yet? It’s already a really cool device, however has a couple major flaws. For one the screen is not the best. Second the software is super undeveloped right now. I’m curious if you would be willing to get your hands on one to see if you could make any mods on it to make the screen better and just put your creative touch on it. I think if you did it would be an absolutely amazing device.
Wow! Impressive works! I’m very exiting about the new minty pi. Can u add a full hdmi out to the minty pi on the same side as the L and R buttons? And add the 3a boost board and the usb C port to it?
Is the next mintyPi going to need much work to assemble? It looks really cool but i don’t have a soldering iron or anything and would rather not have to buy one when i’ll only use it once.
If I could ask, does do you possibly know when a batch of the mintypi 2.0 pcb boards might come out again? Though I know you guys've gone to this 3.0 version, I've been quite stuck with finishing my 2.0 set, since I had originally had to buy the parts from Amazon and such (embarrassingly forgetting I would need the pcb board.) If not, could you possibly let me know where to create a custom pcb, or possibly create a makeshift one out of copper tape? I'm sorry this is so long, but I've had these questions for a while now, and I'm fairly new to this stuff. Many thanks for the update.
I really think you should hold the function button for saving and just press the save/load button for loading. People are going to be loading more often than saving, so loading should be easier and quicker. But that's just my opinion.
I m lookin for a best fitting battery pack for original GameBoy shell ... do some know how to found out a good one ? By the way, nice work and cool videos. Continue as far ! 👍🏼👌🏼
I wanted to build my own motherboard for a orange pi handheld project I have. I am quite trying to learn it myself so it would be nice if there's any tutorial on how to make it on one of those programs like eagle
Dude will you be selling some of these or selling kits anytime soon of the mintypi? I want to have one, whether i buy one or build one. I do not have any experience with soldering though and i am also very young. And the tutorial videos and parts list overlap and are complicated. I just want one, parts or built.
Yay! Glad to hear about mintypi v3! So will we be able to use the old ds lite a, b, x, y, and the dpad instead of the silicon, but still keep the select and start silicon buttons?
You could but the 3D parts were designed for the silicone buttons, you might have to mod the 3D part a bit for them. These silicone buttons are so much nicer than the old ones used.
What's that handheld sitting next to the NVIDIA Shield? Looks too thick to be a 3DS XL or GPD XD, yet it doesn't quite look like a Pandora (though its pretty dark, so I'm not so sure).
To anyone whose made the minty pi before, is it a good beginner project? I have zero experience but I think it’s very cool and a really want to make a one. If it’s not a good beginner project what’s something I can do to get more experience. Thanks

Looks awesome! Been subbed since the second vid
I'm gonna need a new build guide for the mintypi now, it's changed so much since I've seen that vid that there's no way my little brain's calculating that one out.
Finally. I love you man. I’ve been waiting for sooooo long😭
That new PSU board is a godsend for my OPi PC handheld. Finally going to finish it!
Love the new updates wermy! Should be an easy update to already completed v2s.
V3 looks absolutely awesome, definitely picking up one of these kits! Finding a packet of Altoids in Australia is going to be a little tricky tho haha..

You're the man Wermy!

SO EXCITING!
Excellent
Would love to see more assembly tutorials, specially for the Gameboy Zero and Null aswell
I think the tinyPi might be much easier to handle if the buttons were on the sides and the screen were in the middle.
Lux Deluxe I agree but it’s kinda supposed to look like the Gameboy
Lux Deluxe same
Austistic Woomy I just realized that (also that is an amazing name)
This is an awesome channel!

Any more info on Mintypi v3 preorders? Just got into playing with Raspberry pi and I love the idea of a portable emulator.
Looking at buying one and trying to build, but it sounds like and update is coming, any idea when?
WERMY! Or is it, Sudo Mod? We need a mintypi 3 guide!
Could you get gameboy color start and select buttons for the mintypi and put start and select writings under them?
This is super excited for this! I can't wait :D
I would like to buy a kit for the mintypi 3 please let me know where i can buy one!
Just got my helder psu, wish I knew he offered that battery when I ordered.

I would love to see the MintyPi 3 with USB type C
Hey Wermy, what job filed would this be considered. Like making the things you make
When does the custom battery get released?

Can we get a gameboy zero 2.0 video please
Wish Helder went with the rpi compute module i the minty pi v3 but still just glad a new version is coming out
Would have been cool but the power and thermal requirements just wouldn’t make it feasible I think.

For the mintypi buttons . Is tgere an color for the snes controller?
Edit. I shouldve watched 10 seconds later *_*
i know you guys cant do this due to the bottom of the minty pi being metal, but wouldn't it be cool if the mintypi could wirelessly charge?
Try making a mintypc or something like that where there is a mini keyboard and touch pad.
Where can I buy the parts for the mintypi?

The game boy null is just great
Can you please do a new guide for the mintypi 3?
Also, wermy you should try to add the compute module to the MintyPi & I still use micro usb.

Re: new battery board -- shut up and take my money!!
Hey I’m 12 years old and a wanna build a handheld (the Gameboy null) and you really inspired me to do this but unfortunately it’s out of order
Can you have it were you can use the htmi and micro usb
