- Since 1941, Jeep has been a brand known for its rugged and off-road vehicles and the 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport is just that. I didn’t really think twice about this tiny SUV until the owner schooled me with a few facts about its history. Plus it’s in Goonies, I mean, c’mon.

love these zero turn jeeps, bought one for 500 bucks cdn, tires and a windshield and a tune up and its still running awesome six years later.

In the late nineties my family relocated to another position in the county. One of our neighbors had a 98 Jeep Cherokee sport red just like this one here that was a classic color 4.0 inline 5speed manual. It was my first time in a vehicle like that and I had my doubts of its performance. But the neighbor going down the highway and pulling out rip through all the gears and blew my mind away. Later in life not too long after that my dad ended up getting a 1991 Jeep Cherokee sport just like the one in your video automatic 4.0. and you mentioned about no body roll, that is absolutely the God's honest truth. That vehicle has 3 shocks per tire and handles more like a sports car I would go in the turns at speeds that would surprise me vehicle handle very well on and off the road . I liked its performance more on Dry Road because I'm a sports car person. I never had to worry about the engine being under power to past people never had a problem with a vehicle. The only time I got stuck was when I went off road in a blizzard in the snow got that deep it was impacted underneath the vehicle and lifted the tires off the ground that wasn't Jeeps fault that was my fault. At that time that you made by Chrysler you could even see the image on the windshield near the dashboard. You did a very well video on this vehicle and discovered you through Scotty Kilmer Channel and I subscribe to you and look forward to many more high quality videos I love the way you present your videos you have a great speaking voice you're very knowledgeable and you have humor in mixed with it too. Also you seem like a very cool dude.
I love my 2004 WJ with 4.0 I-6. Sometimes I pretend it's an XJ because I never got to get one. It almost is. Mine has 108k also.
I haven't seen the Goonies in so long, and I just recently became interested in the Jeep Cherokee XJ, and I'm amazed it was in that movie, I went to a site to try and find other movies that had an XJ in it, weird I did not find it from this movie in the first few pages.
Brings back memories! My parents had a 1988 Cherokee Laredo back in about 1995. Rugged machine! Nice review!

Never been a fan of Dodge, but I'll always give love to the old square bodies. You should buy Hoovie's Wagoneer, since you love them so much.
