I think it's more so the demand for quality. As the quality gets better the price is going to go up.
I never got into the Legends scale, partially due to the scale being all over the place. Now, it is in large part due to the rising prices. I have dipped my toe in though, as I just received my copy of MS Megatron, the shiny addition, and want to get their new Prime, when they put out a painted version.
Actually, The Ratchet is Papa Toys as is I think your Ultra Magnus. I chose the Papa Toys Ironhide and Ratchet so I could have their weapons platform tops. I prefer them to be more like the G1 toys myself. Mech Fans Toys is an evolving thing. They started out just doing small improvements on their upscale of DX9, then moving to other branches doing their own designs. They also now do upscale DX9 headmasters under the Vecma brand. They scale way better and have better actual head figures.

actually, Ratchet is Mechanic Studio Hot Soldiers, not POPA TOYS.
DX9 and Newage are together and Magic Square and Unique Toys are together. Iron Factory is by itself and MFT, mechanic studios are the same. Papa Toys and mister moon were the same

Magic Square and New Age... so, the DX9 design team split, and then split lol, part of them formed Magic Square, and the others did New Age.

that hotrod and magnus are both POPA TOYS, not mechfanstoys. your over lord is iron factory and NB Factory did the over lord knock off. then you have mechfanstoys, mech planet, and mechanic studios., which are all the same company. hope this helps

That Sixshot is an oversized version of the Iron Factory one. I started collecting Legends scale from Hasbro and from there went to third party, chug and MP's. First Legends scale were all the same hight. Wich I was ok with, because I was trying to collect mostly on caracter. Size was less important and they save space. Nowadays they start to give us size difference to let it look like the shows
Hey I really need help with deciding something, I really love and want to collect legends scale, but I did buy one figure just to test the waters which mind you was 11 dollars, but with a bit of play and use it became really crappy, it got super loose and joints started somehow becoming loose, but it wasn't any of the main parties that you talk about here, do you think having a collection of legends scale figures will last with play and whatnot?
Some can be finicky but most of the ones I have here have held up and I'm always messing with them. So I think they will be fine.

No problem! The newer ones definitely have gotten way better too. Pick your most loved character to buy and see if it's too your liking.
