If these politicians were wealthy before they joined politics, then their wealth would be considered legit. Most only became wealthy after joining politics or government at high level. That makes their wealth suspect. In Kenya, If you want a quick way to get wealthy, become a politician. Politics in Kenya is not a calling to serve the people, it is a way to enrich self.
