First autocross ever in my 1983 Porsche 911SC. Not fast by any means but it was fun to see my times drop with each run.

Hey Joe I sold my 911. A couple of your how to videos helped me with dealing with the frustration of the car but alas there were too many things I just didn’t want to spend the time and/ or money on. I remain subscribed to your channel out of appreciation and because I enjoy seeing what your working on from time to time. I am glad to see you are enjoying your hard work. Got me thinking about buying another one.

Never felt any love for auto cross events. Joining up with the PCA club or SCDA put you on the track for some real high speed driving. I’m in upstate New York, and that gives many tracks in proximity an opportunity. Watkins Glen, lime rock Park, Jersey Speedway, Thompson motor speedway, New York safety track. I’ve owned many air cooled 911’s, unless you’re putting them on the track, you might as well be drinking NyQuil.

Lucky. All my local tracks are hours away. This event was 5 min away.

Hey Joe, my 82 SC keeps getting stuck between gears locking up the wheels. I currently have been able to get back in neutral.
It seems to happen when I put it in reverse. Last time this happened the car needed to be lifted and towed by the rear wheels.
shop opened the side panel of the transmission and freed it up. I guess I need a transmission rebuild
