This show is great written by hajime komoshida, same author who wrote Rascal Does not dream of bunny girl senpai. Finally someone giving attention to this.

It was kinda of bunny girl senpai’s fault that this series couldn’t be as great as it could have been. Because Hajime wanted to work on bunny girl senpai he pretty much rushed the light novel ending which ended up suffering from bad writing. Because of this they only adapted up to volume 6 of the light novels and the anime ended up being kinda incomplete.

This was literally my favorite anime ever, I don’t really know why, but it’s touching. I get really sad whenever it brought up because I know that I’ll never get something like it ever again and won’t be getting anything added to it.

Dude just watching one of the last episodes made me tear up so much which dosent really happen much often. It made me sad and hurt me inside when I learned that they arent making a second season as it seemed they were eluding to it in the last ep. Honestly a great anime that ik I'll rewatch down in life to get all the feels and emotions I did when I first watched this...

This is one of my favorite anime, it may even be my #1 favorite. It's so relatable for me, since as a teen I have no idea what I wanna do in the future. This anime hits in the heart for me, I love it so much. Especially the "life is not fair" part, "the hard working vs the talented" aspect, etc are what hit me where it hurt. It made me think more about what I wanna do. And that's the reason why I love this show so much.

No he didn’t really ruin Sorata’s character in the light novels. The main problem was that he wanted to work on bunny girl senpai so he rushed the last few novels. Because of this the 2 new characters had no real development and a lot of the choices made by the characters were dumb and it ended up suffering from bad writing. Although the ending was written poorly I would still say that the light novel is worth reading as there is some cool development in it, as well as the fact that the light novel allows you to dive deeper and understand what Sorata is thinking.
Also spoilers below:
No Sorata has always been thinking of funny things like holding hands and stuff just that he has good control over them. His personality didn’t perform a 180 and also it was Mashiro who told him she was mad at him for not doing funny things with her when they were alone and he had the opportunity. They end up doing it several times it is implied that they did it once a week but after they got busy they never did it again, so no they didn’t do it everyday (although I’m still traumatised that they did it and yes I agree that this was bad writing).

This anime is basically the lovechild of Toradora and K-On!
This anime is very close to my heart. I saw it after my Toradora!-induced post-anime-depression, and it really didn't help XD
Sakurasou always gives me nostalgia to moments I never had. I remember the pool scene like I was part of the group myself. I was also so invested in the Sakurasou-will-be-gone-arc.
Toradora was such a good anime, i also finished oregairu yesterday idk if u saw but it gave me post anime depression, made me feel empty and sad cz it ended.
This series has been on my watch radar but I haven't gotten around to it due to other anime coming going.
Oh man this music makes me tear up a little. Just finished the series. I never teared up during an anime so far, but Misakis speech really got me good damn.

I found this anime on Netflix yesterday. I finished it today and all I can say is ...
It's worth it.
I'm not sure, but I think it changed my perspective on life and what kind of guy I want to be. It shows what it means to have good friends and how strong the friendship can be. And of course the love story. Holy Sh*t the love story. It was an experience to keep imagining how it will go next and whether it will come to the kind of ending you want. After this wonderful series, I find it very difficult not to think about it and cry every moment.
Give the anime a chance. It has the perfect harmony of comedy and love that forces you to keep watching.
And what I mean by "changing my perspective on life" is that I was comparing myself to the characters and telling myself that I was an asshole. I wasn't the best example of a good friend because I didn't really know how to interact with friends. I don't have any real friends like Sorata in this anime and when I saw how they interacted I knew why. It is far too common nowadays that people insult each other in a friendly way, maybe hit each other and laugh at each other. If you have friends like that, leave them behind or explain to them why it's not good. Real friends support each other, you can talk to them about anything and they are always there for you. That's what I admire most about this anime.

So I'm saying it shortly without going more in detail as I was planning to do:
This comment is almost 1 year old and my perspective of Life has changed in this period of time. I think that every person has his own way of dealing with other people and living their lives. For example my school class. We're doing so much sh*t but at the same time we kinda like all of us in a different way. We all got our personal problems but no one hates each other and we all are just living the school live with... fun. I also wanted to say something about my comment like: 'If someone hurts you physically or psychologic but just wanted to make fun with you just *leave* them behind'
I realised that everybody got his own way of dealing with people how they were treated theirself and sometimes just don't know how to act with the people around them. I got friends who don't really know how to interact and sometimes say something mean without even knowing that it sound mean. The same way I got friends who live like they're inside a circle and just doing the same as always without changing, but everybody can change and everybody will change if he really want to.
About myself I think that I've grew up since making this comment and I'm constantly grewing up, learning even more and understanding more. I realised that you can't order things in black and white. I realised that sometimes you need to see a situation in another color. You can't always say this is wrong or this is right. Sometimes it's nothing of them, it's grey, it's a tough situation of Life were you can't do something being only wrong or right. And I also realised what it's like to feel yourself growing.
For now I can't say what to do with my life but I'm okay with that. I will find out for sure and I do hope you can learn something from my story.

Another year passed. Hope you are doing well. I fully understand what you are saying too, I have had friends who insult each other in a nice way. But I always go home feeling empty, and I wonder if it is the same for them. I’ll admit it, I did it too. but since reading this comment and growing as a person I have realized what it means to be a better person, even though I’m not sometimes.

That sounds great, I'm not acting well sometimes too but I think that making Mistakes is a Part of growing and learning. I often got problems with some people in my class but thinking about it, I don't have to be friends with them, sometimes it just doesn't work out. But I got some nice Friends I'm doing lots of things when we got Time for it and I'm glad to have 'em. From Time to Time my Friends and I learned what each other likes and dislikes, and we're constantly growing together, being nice to each other. It's rarely happening but sometimes even we got our Problems with each other. But we sticked together to this day and I'm sure you can do as well!

I started rewatching this an i still love it im only on episode 5 but im having a blast rewatching
I enjoyed watching this. Too bad they never continue it as I heard it wasn't to good of an ending or something and the studio picked more profitable options and it was never commissioned for a second season
Its honestly a little upsetting that they couldn't continue. It really seemed that with that ending on the last episode they were setting up for a second season which I was more than excited to see when it would be released if it would at all. Only to be greeted by the fact that one of my now favorite animes ((and one of the few that made me cry)) isnt being continued. Honestly I wished that they could continue it and I actually got upset and sad when I figured out it wasn't being continued. Although I know for a fact that I'll go back to rewatch it and feel all those emotions and most likely ill cry aswell like I did before and maybe I'll rewatch it with my girlfriend aswell for the first time. ((which I've asked. She hasnt watched the show yet but has heard of it)) all in all it pains me to see such a well made anime not have a second season and I'd honestly pay for a 2nd season. But it seems that all of my favorite anime dont get continued or get a second season do they? ((Oh well if you somehow read through this lil paragraph well....you deserve an award for listening to me ramble. ))

if you're going to watch this, watch it in the original Japanese with subtitles. The english dubbed version in an unwatchable abomination.
The joke is on you because bunny girl sempai put me on a grind for watching everything Hajime Komoshida made on anime format except gundam, one of his best works because just because only got 13 eps and the execution wasnt the best story wise, the way it ends its fine but could have been done better. But still my main favorite thing of Pet girl is how the protagonist fails, even with his efforts into it, the way he fails its something that felt real, no gary stu but just a normal guy who found an ambition but he cannot feel more than frustrated seeing everyone around him doing amazing things while he cant even win a competition, I'm right there rn in university that is why it felt so close home, everyone is better at design and drawing, and the ones who dont have that skill are really creative so i feel so out of place as an average guy in a school of geniuses. Overall his best work for me personally
I’m only just started to watch anime more and I literally just finished this in 2 days and the last few episodes I just kept tearing up I’m just going around trying get some closure about a season 2 happening but I know this show is nearly 8 years old or more then that so I won’t get my hopes up but you never know, anime does just make me feel a different way tho

This video reminded me that I had picked up this show some time ago, and after watching this video I really want to re-watch this immediately. You can definitely tell that Hajime Kamoshida and Kēji Mizoguchi of Bunny Girl Senpai worked on this. Tremendous work!

Not gonna lie, the last 2 episodes literally made me cry and I usually don't. It seems like I can totally relate to Sorata Kanda and my one goal in life is achieving something with hard work but at the same time finding a girl that I love and ngl, the girl Kanda ends up with is exactly my type as well so I especially found the very 2 last episodes joyfull and reason enough to make a grown man like me cry. ありがと がじますさくらーそう の ぺｔ な かのじょ for this amazing experience in life. I may have found my very own way to do things
I watched it in 2020 and completed in less than 1 day other than sleeping I didn't left the show for even a second and I am a guy who takes 3 weeks to watch a 12 ep anime still I watched nearly 30 in less than one day
The emotions,charcters,comedy, relationships and most important friendship and just so beautiful I even cried at end when saw that Last scene and after that I cried and searched for s2 but no hope and overall the animation is freaking good,very colourful and beautiful both visually and Emotionally and amazing and engaging story and screenplay and The Op and ed was so good

honestly, i feel like it’s extremely cliche and is written too similarly with other animes. It doesn’t really stand out, it’s not bad but not outstanding i know a better school/romance anime.

no i don't believe so. Heard they did the story wrong in the light novel, so i wouldn't want it to happen as well. This is possibly the best ending for the story and just like things outside, it all comes to an end. Hope you had fun watching, because it was worth it in my opinion

My second favorite anime after Oregairu
I rewatched this show but now I want to do it again. I love this show! Everytime I hear the music or see sad scenes from this anime I got a tear in my eye. I was watching the anime with only „knowing“ the hentai scenes from tiktok, but after I watched it, I saw the whole thing. It‘s not a hentai like many people think, and it‘s way more then the few scenes. I really loved the show and I can proudly say that it‘s definitly one of the greatest Anime in history.

Loved the video. What really made this anime stand out to me were the characters struggling with the feeling of inferiority. That one scene where Sorata finds a letter from the company he's been trying to work with in the mailbox, only to find out the letter was addressed not to him but to Shiina, and his jealousy then bursting out in one go really hit me.

I love about the concept that they're eccentric and unique and gathered at a place called Sakurasou, since i have found my own Sakurasou filled with people that crazy, unique, and filled with joys and tears, and yes it is Sakurasou not a house or dorm it's home
My romcom list is pretty high. About 50-60 shows are there but Sakurasou somehow managed to get to the Top1. Infact, this is the show that got me in romance genre. I remember watching it in 2020 and re-watched last year.

Fuck Man, thank you for this take on things I hope people know it’s ok to just be you, just be. You don’t have to be anything or anyone or accomplish anything. If you want to make something please make it, there might not be fame or viral potential but if you find a place where you belong or find other people that share the struggles you’re internalizing, and the thing you make will let someone relate to you or the place you created for the future. You can do what you want and be who you want to be. You don’t even need confidence in your self, just take one step toward the thing you want. If you want to just enjoy what others make that’s fine too, that’s what life is, to enjoy what others left behind for us. And for us to leave behind something for the next generation too. the song actually brings up some of the scene of sorata hunging mashiro,, what he said to mashiro really touched me soooo much at the airport, in front of the fountain, the whole anime is just like really happening in real life, im a HUGE fan of mashiro hhhh but also sorata coz i just wanna see their relationship....btw other characters are still got their own unique lifestyle tho.....really hoping for s2 this is just a masterpiece of anime

Sorry, I found this show pretty derivative. All the characters seem to have been borrowed from other shows. Even the names were derivative. They looked like they came straight out of Tora Dora, Working!!!, Sora no Woto, to the point that it seemed more like a pastiche than an original Anime. Even the voice actors came across as characters from other shows. The story lacks continuity and emotional depth. Felt like going through the motions to me. Too many contrived, unnatural moments, especially with the main character, who lacks the depth needed to carry the production.
Let me tell you this... this might sound a bit weird but when I got dumped by my girlfriend I got bored and watched a lot of anime didn't really care what it was or what genre I explored anime and I came across this anime and this anime gave me feelings for anime itself mainly because I could relate to the main character and like to this day I'm still bored of my life and I don't know what I want to do like I know what I want to go into but I don't know what I want to do... Lmao 🤣☠️☠️
I am thinking, is this anime shows the beauty of failure? Coz i really felt what Sorata felt in facing reality of life. Even when he had to start facing living with talented people. But overall, this anime always reminds me not to give up.

The part that comes after the final episode of light novel version actually sucks tho, maybe some people don’t know it yet and actually want a ss2. To me the show should only just end there, a perfect ending.
I watched the anime and after that i scrambled to find a way to read the rest of it but apparently volumes 8 and above arent even translated. Fuck.

Sakurasou no pet is one of the best romance animes I saw
It is definitely one of my favourites.
It has many relatable themes and represent them in a very realistic way.
The characters is the anime 's biggest strength.
They are all likeable interesting and analysing them is fun.
The show surprises the audience by having the jealous character (Nanami) accept sakora’s relationship with the female protagonist. If you didn’t watch you would’ve expected nanami to be with sakora.
