I'm so happy I only recently discovered this anime and didn't wait 5 years for the next season to arrive because I was immediately hooked after season 1. I finished this anime literally yesterday. I have seen a lot of animes in my lifetime and hands down this series has become one of my favorite animes of all time. It's at least in my top 20 of favorite animes of all time. I thought it was so well done and I completely related with these characters. It's a masterpiece in my opinion.

Efverything this anime focuases on and players with is 100 right up my ally. the problem I had with it was no only does the world view of the characters lead them to compleatly different answers than I to the same question but actively rub me the wrong way. monogatari is my #5 favorite anime.
The characters are so well made imo that I’d just watch everything they are in, I usually read fanfics and I can say, the ones with the oregairu just feel different to me, and I think because the characters just seem like human. Both Watari Wataru and the studio/s really made a masterpiece of a series

I'm a fan of Ano Hana and it was great to have Tsuroko's voice actress play the similar icy character Yukino in My Teen Romance Comedy SNAFU. Hachiman's observations of life and the cool popular kids in his class were hilarious in its biting sour truth. Enjoyed the anime.. Instead of focusing on the cool popular kids, the focus on the not-so-cool, anti-social but witty members of the Service Club in a sympathetic way in trying to solve problems of the popular and more insufferable.
You may not think people can be that much of a “martyr” in school social standards surprisingly I’ve personally known a friend of mine like that in my school, so for better or for worse Hachiman is actually a realistic mc

People say it's realistic but the dialogue is so cryptic and I'm thinking while I was watching 'No one talks like this'. I guess it might be realistic sense the characters are boring and the world feels depressing as all hell.

Dude Fr, I like it cause it’s so damn real in some ways but i dislike it for the same reason. It’s so real it hurts sometimes. A reality where a Loner(literally everyone as inside their head everyone is alone) not only deals with his problems but solves the problems for others by carrying their burden, a reality where doing the only thing you know hurts others. It’s comforting that the show understands you but at the same time that’s why it’s so cold. It’s brutal af.
I mean if you don’t like it then that’s fine - no one series is for everyone. If you try to force yourself to love it then it’s gonna have the opposite effect, so just watch what it is that you enjoy. 💯
