Really nice to see you guys cast some ROTR! I know it's harder to get exciting replays in due to ROTR's slightly campy nature (at least in the earlygame), but I'd love to see more of them (or even OpenRA :D ). Keep up the good work!
Well good game Gents! Great to FINNALY see a Rise of the Reds game, Now time for the Q&A For the nuclear crates, thoose are something for nuclear heavy factions to leave.(Chineese tanks of various types, Russian Nuclear Arsenal of TOPOL's, or Europes Pandora protocall) And for the GLA to pickup on bombtrucks to put more bomb in their bomb. Volenteers are like angry mobs but they have longer ranged missles then angrymobs and come with horde bonus by default.Yet they do not regenerate their numbers like the ZH Angry mobs. Sentinels are immune to small mines like from that GP (Thoose big bad russian tanks) Golems are not as beefy or strong as Sentineals yet they are immune to radiation damage and more durable to explosion damage.(The more round one with the AA guns) The russians with the APC that got airdropped the VDV are uncrushable as well. Rikerrz aside from keeping his GP's nearly on point each time with danger close VDV and conscript drops kept the nuke cannons busy. Now for china for a tank blob disrupor teams would have been ideal because even if the russians have the Arena system upgraded on the sentinel (The orange ring) It takes two countermessure systems to disable the missle. Rikerrz would then respond with his msta artilary which Dustin would have thrown 2-3 Blimps to meatshield the grumble missles and sent in migs.Normal migs would've done it but hellfirebombers would have done more damage to the blob too.Dustin needed to transition more into the fixed wing combat and blacknapalm/Inferno compistion.That would've increased the Napalm strike damage too (By a huge bit) For the twingfangs to deal its full potential they need horde bonus. I maybe missing out a unit or two here but other then Nuke cannons and Shenlongs, every unit can give nearby units horde bonus and benefit from it.(Yes overlords too) Also the lack of propaganda seriously downplayed the effectiveness of his forces. Tid bit more to mention: Grumble missles like tommahawks are effected by ECM's. Gunship transiiton was good but he invested too much into it. Still a lovely game to watch fellas! Awesome cast, loved it despite you guys not knowing some units. Great push by Dustin from the beginning but the game went to Rik mainly because Dustin wasted a lot of GenPowers in addition to not protecting his nuke cannons enough. He spent 3 points on all the unlocks which is a huge investment. Unfortunately China needs to unlock units in almost every case but one has to know which of these will turn out to be actually useful. Great game, was really entertaining to watch!
*Spoiler below* Dustin didn't stick to his turtle strategy, he should have built superweapons and had a counter attack in reserve (with RPG troops in troop crawlers) or at least a few overlords. He also mismanaged his general powers and didn't pick the right ones for turtling. Arty strikes and the ability which lets you see all of your enemies units for a short time, over the overlords and mass mobilization.
Great game, I was impressed how well the GG explained everything, even though they don't have much experience in rotr. Great overall play but dusty, but russia by design is a late game faction, so if you can't take it out early, you are at a disadvantage. But rik could of been a little more aggressive imo
It doesn't seem like people take advantage of the X key... you highlight some units, spam X and it makes them scatter, good if there's a bomb incoming :)
If there ever was a Generals 2, Russia should be in it.

I have also noticed a lack of synergy (like a EMP then a napalm strike) and at the attacks lack of protection for the nuke cannon
